The building is the Palais Garnier, the old opera house. It was commissioned by Napoleon III. Very grand and opulent. Mitterrand commissioned a new opera house which is in the Bastille. Not nearly as glamorous even if it is functional. The Garnier continues to operate as a working theatre. You can do tours of it, as well as performances. Thank you for the video.

Wow 15 years.. time is just whizzing. Congratulations! But this also makes me feel so disappointed in myself for not continuing with my original channel as I started a year after you, and we were literally attending the same events. I think my life would have been so different if I only had some support around me and continued to make videos. Another reminder that the time will pass no matter what you're doing or not doing.
