You should look into the UA-camr complicated knots. She goes into the science of shaping in some of her videos. She also has patterns available that she walks you through how to do, some of which are extremely complicated.
I actually bought Crafty Intentions' pattern book from Michaels a while ago and crocheted the kraken! It was an absolute joy to make and is one of my most impressive pieces I've made. I was happy to see her patterns in this video because she definitely deserves to be talked about.
I bet 😍 I love that book, I've made several cute critters (gargoyle, dragon, cockatrice, hippogriff) and they're all so delightful ❤ her new book is coming up in a couple of days (monster themed) and I'm so excited about it. Check out the impkin book as well if you haven't already
that's so nice to hear! ❤ there's some really complex and stunning patterns in my halloween crochet video, so you might want to check that one as well!
I was watching Knitting Hook Crochet and she did something I litterly jaw dropped. All the years of making Amigrumi and not once did I ever think of using the sticks that come in the stuffing bags to pin things togther. It's pure genius and kicking myself. Smaller works yes pins are better but big ones omg game changer
The horse or the dragon magnet would be the most challenging, I think. I have a hard time with micro and smaller things. It’s killer on my hands. I’m currently working on Medusa and you crochet around pipe cleaners for the snake hair, so it is posable. It is murder on the hands.
that one would be the most challenging for me too! so tiny, no way I could do that. I was in the shop the other day and was shocked to see how tiny the 2mm hook was, I can't even imagine what 1.25 one would be like. people who can work with such tiny hooks are out of this world 😍 and medusa sounds awesome, whose pattern are you using?
@@ivanasvlog Medusa is from Rikki Gustafson’s book, “A crochet world of Creepy Creatures and Cryptids”. There are so many good patterns in it. You would love it!
I made that Pennywise amigurumi back in 2022 as one of my first crochet projects 😂 The review with Penny leaning on the two pumpkins is mine. That was way back before I knew there was an X single crochet and a V single crochet. But a fun pattern to do and I was crocheting only for a few weeks so I can say it is beginner friendly.
That's so awesome! I also think that best patterns for beginners are those they really love, no matter the difficulty level, because it's going to be challenging either way, so might as well make something you're really excited about ☺ I tried making a bookmark as one of my first projects but abandoned it because I found it boring
yes working on her now in worsted. and the dress will be the death of me, it is endless but fantastic. I can't wait to finish her just so I can do the little horn. it's amazing
If you decide to do these, get you some O’Keefe’s Working Hands. It’s a moisturizer for your hands that help so much. The first time I worked with cotton yarn, my hands ended up raw. That stuff took me out of pain after trying everything I could think of.
I've actually noticed that my hands have become a little more rough since I started to crochet, so thank you for your suggestion ❤ it's currently unavailable on iherb, but I'll be on the lookout for it 😘
Brand new subscriber, and LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your choices!! I really hope you make several off this list, because this is now my list too!! You really helped me get my crojo back! Take care and happy crocheting!
Ohhh so glad you came up in my feed!! Instant subscribe, can't wait to watch your other videos. I also have some patterns by Crafty Intentions, they're on my distant to do list. The patterns are exciting, I just know I want to have time set aside for it. Great video
Thank you so much for selecting differents patterns that we see in almost EVERY VIDEO from crocheter!!!🙄 Y ou foung fantastic and beautifull parterns. My only suggestion would be, if you do it again, maybe to show only 1-2 of the same designer ( after, if someone loved a project she/ he could go check by itself all the patterns from that designers..) Cuz, if I find a designer too difficult or just not my type, when you show 5, 6 or more patterns of this designer, I just want to advance the video or maybe just stop watching it.😥...But I repeat thiis TO YOU: Your video was so well done , with original selection of amigurumis, inspiring and overall, so usefull to get us to go and check others similars ones!!! Cant wait to see what you come up with next tine!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words 🥰 I get what you mean about repeating designers, but it was so hard to resist when they design such awesome stuff. 🤩 I'll keep it in mind for the next video, though!
I have the same problem with the eastern dragon, but I think you can't go wrong. I made a cute critter dragon in blues that I thought I didn't like but once he was done I loved him 😍just pick a color you like and he'll be great
That's so great to hear 🤭 I used to feel kinda guilty about it because they are so iconic, but no matter how beautiful they are, they're just too boring for me to make so I've just given up.

sounds like a great tip, thank you! I'll try it out next time 🤗
Can you make the same video but with free paterns? 😅😅😅😅
I will definitely do that ❤
It may be hard to find since advanced patterns take a lot more time to make than easier patterns 😟😟
I think it'll be a challenge finding them, but it could be doable 🦾
OMG I think you reached inside my mind and discovered what I want to crochet…. I love these creators thankyou
that's so awesome, so glad you've found designers that you like ❤

So far i have done 6 of these patterns. Also done a lunadesign dragon. Along with a lot of others. Great choice of patterns.
Oh nice! 🥰Which one of those 6 is your favorite?
I think any of the craft intentions. But I also enjoyed the Highland cow.
@@amandaprice7608 love her patterns, can't wait for her monster book to come out!
I have her fist book@@ivanasvlog
Wonderful ideas and wonderful video! Thank you!
Thank you so much 🥰
I think the crow widow is one of the most beautiful and difficult of your list because of the black dress
that dress is gorgeous, I think it has pineapple stitches. it looks so delicate and pretty, I'd wear it myself lol

@@stephi_spells 🤩how long have you been working on her?
the doll on and off about 2 weeks. the dress about 20 hours

These look like sooo much work, but I like the cow pattern 🐄🐮 and the kraken is cool 🐙🐙 💖
it's such a cute cow 🐮😊 I just had to put her on the list even though I like the monster patterns more 👻💖

I loooovvvveeee fiber figments!!! I have that crow widow pattern on my desk for months but i don't have the courage to start it yet!😭
I'd feel the same, but she's so gorgeous though ❤ she'll tell you when she's ready
Great list! I’ve had my eye on a few of these, as well. 😍❤️
Thank you ❤ it's so hard to choose which one to make first, though 🤔

😂😂 stress free by the fire in the castle! Can I move in with you?!❤
sure thing, you take the east wing, I'll take the west and we'll meet in the great hall for crocheting sessions 😂😘
You will love the kraken, I have done him
😍😍
I bought the Cthulu pattern but I'm indecisive on what color to use
