You know before EVH came along nobody did the neck tapping. You don't see Glen neck tapping or Iommi doing it. sounds great. No slam on your playing, but learn to play it like it was played. I have been playing 39 years and I dont do neck tapping. I play it like it was played. If it was played by tapping fine.but if not learn to play it like it was played. No hating here. just saying, play like it was played. I've seen priest 4 times and Glenb or KK did no neck tapping. Everone wants the easy way to reproduce the song.
@dannysoler05 you can do it man. It's just hammer ons. Find some exercises online, and pretty soon, you will be like, wow! This shit is easy. The intro to Thunderstruck by AC/DC was just a warm-up exercise Angus used. Keep jamming away, but don't fall into the easy way. Make music that makes you feel good, but always work on improving. You do a killer version. Once you learn the way It is played, you will be like, hell. That was easier than I thought. I was like that with Burn from Deep Purple. My best friend who plays said I can't do that. I showed him how easy it really was, and he just had a mental block. Don't ever do that to yourself. Just keep saying, just a few more times over and over. If you have to walk away for a bit, do it, but come right back.
