I am basically a SAK Aficionado with a collection of 250 Victorinox's and 50 Wenger & Swiss Buck Wengers but I do own 3 Case Copperlock's - 2 full size ones & one mini one. The were expensive but in my experience well made, the blades are centered, elegant, super sharp and function flawlessly. I am surprised that you have several faults with yours and I like you have never had any sort of problem with a SAK they are all well made & sharp out of the box
I got the copperlock pretty darn sharp, so it’s no big deal I guess. I’m loving the Churp! I’ve been using it instead of my PM2 as a work knife. Great little blade. It’s been in my pocket everyday since receiving it
I purchased my 1st CASE XX Mini Copperlock Two days ago and I Love it.Its a Sweet little pocketknife and I will buy more in the future.Mine was not sharp but my Worksharp fixed that quickly. The blade is centered right down the middle. We have Three local CASE XX dealers so I get a hands on look before I buy them.👍👏🇺🇸
Happy belated birthday Brenny! Those Dutch bushcraft lads crack me up 😂. They need to do more folders. I really like the copperlock but can't carry it so never bought one. Looks like you got a good one, now its got an edge on it. Speak to you soon mate 👊
Love the Copper locks! Looks like a beauty! Yeah, I sent off my Spyderco for maintenance and it came back dull. I don't understand why knives don't come sharp but it happens. lol. Happy Birthday, brother
If I got a case and it didn't have an edge on it at all, but everything else was good, I'd be thrilled. I've never gotten a sharp Case, the majority of the time, they completely mutilate the poor things.
Wow! What a great Case! For a mid lock your lucky to not get gaps. I have one mini copperlock and it was a gift from Cheato and its perfect except the tip. I think they just overpolish it at the factory! You pay Case so you can sharpen your own knife. haha! They say they are users. But if they really were, than they would sharpen them like a Buck!! I still like them when I pay under $50. Ive had a few at 80 that were really good though. Take care Brenny! And Happy Birthday Brother!
I have been collecting modern knives like Spyderco's, Hogeus and American made Kershaws. At the same time I have been collecting Victorinox knives. About 4 months ago I bought my first Case, a Peanut and it was perfect, nice half stops and a nice amount of spring. Over the weekend I ordered a Case mini trapper and should have it the day after tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
I just bought the blue version of your knife. I'm on the fence about it. The edge was less than desirable and I just feel it's too small. The blade favors one side.
Victorinox's are oddities in the knife world in that their secondary bevels are ground entirely by a machine. Pretty much all other manufacturers use a human at that step.
Hey Brenny, Happy Birthday….1967 was a good year 😃 Love the Copperlock and pleased you got a good one! Really seems to be a roll of the dice when you buy a Case on line… Such a shame… when you get a good one they’re fantastic though…. Really need to pick up a Compact sometime… Not short of Victorinox SAK’s but don’t have that one 😃 Take care brother, catch you soon 😎🙏🏻
Thanks Sean! Are you a product of ‘67 too? It does seem like a roll of the dice and I’m not a gambling man 🤪. Really glad this one worked out… I’ve always wanted a good Case knife
This is just my opinion. I believe the problem with knives coming out of the box dull has to do with either poor quality control or is linked to the collector's market. Victorinoxs are typically viewed as tools and treated as such by the majority of people and are collected by a smaller group of people as collector pieces. I reckon that most companies have caught on to the fact that most of the patrons who purchase their products are going to put it in a drawer. Only taking out every so often just to slice a piece of paper and be happy with that, so they don't have to make them sharp out of the box.
I like that compact im not the biggest fan of Victorinox but i can dig that one. Im glad the Case wasnt disappointing! It looks great. Dang they should have sharpened it! Case get it together!
Overall I am very happy with it! Sharpened up nicely and seems solid. I’ve always wanted a good Case knife. Hope you are well Cal. I’m enjoying yours and Terry’s new series! Cheers
Do you have a ceramic rod ? They work super amazing great used correctly , super amazing to bring back a sticky edge . The trick is to match the angle by the sound the blade makes skidding across the rod . I like how it makes the edge sticky instead of smooth /slick sharp .
@pocketknives_and_harmonicas I do play, but not as well as you. I have good techniques, but I need to learn more licks. That being said, I don't really buy fancy harps. I started out on Special 20s. I finally tried the Marine Band, and I've been kind of committed to it ever since. Every now and then, I'll buy something new just to see how I like it. But, I end up going back to the Marine Band.
Have you tried the Marine Band Crossover? I swore by Special 20’s and I still do, but the crossover is totally worth the extra money for how good it plays and sounds right out of the box.
I bought an Ohio River Jack as soon as they came out. Got the jigged Ti with a spear point. Which version did you get. You’re right, it was razor sharp. And it was basically flawless
Case are very overrated imho, I'll never buy another without seeing it in hand first, there are so many bad ones out there,, I've never had a bad rough rider, so if they have great QC, then why can't Case be bothered, for 3 times the money,, !!

Great looking cooperlock, looks like a strawberry.. which is cool! Thanks for sharing!
I like it 👍. I also like the queen wharncliffs for a $20 bill , for sure winner too . That looks like a good knife to have for decades to me .
Very nice looking knife. I need to add a few Copperlocks and Copperheads to my little collection. Great video!
I don’t buy many Case knives but this one is just fine! Cheers
Hey Brenny, great vid! Too bad the Case wasn’t sharp! 😕 I am happy to see you are putting the CHURP to work! Love the lanyard!

It’s sharp now and ready to cut something 🤪…. Take care Bryan

I have the same Case mini Dark red copperlock and I agree the red looks too lite to me as well . I really like the larger copperhead the best .
Very nice love those Case Copperlocks! Have a wonderful day!!!
Thanks Mike. I think I got lucky on this one! Take care

Happy birthday my knife brother!
Dang good lookin knife! I got one in Amber and I really enjoy it.
Looked that Browning up. I like that.
It is a great little budget knife that over performs its price point!

This guy sounds like John Malkovich. I'm subbing out of curiosity.
Thanks for the sun! Wife and I watched a few Malkovich videos and you had us laughing!

Hey, my pleasure! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I gotta find your channel and give you a sub now … cheers!
I just subbed you brother! I look forward to checking your videos out. Looks like some nice Case knives there….
Thank you very much I'm one away from 200 subs
Hey Brenny!
Hate to say it but yeah, you $&@?, up!
I bought the same case knife last week , very disappointed , too small , poorly sharpened , not much to it .
I won't buy another one .
Just seems incredible to me that a knife company with the history of Case can’t sharpen a knife…. I rarely pick up Case knives but I like this one
nice! subbed
Thanks Robert! Cheers!
Love the knife comment. Buy, I could use more harmonica content.
Great to hear from you! It is a fine balance how much harmonica content to sprinkle in. Do you play? What harps are you using?
@pocketknives_and_harmonicas I do play, but not as well as you. I have good techniques, but I need to learn more licks. That being said, I don't really buy fancy harps. I started out on Special 20s. The Case knives always seem to require some sharpening work. Get yourself a Sod Buster.
