These words were profound and powerful back then and well beyond the understanding of the world. Although it seems to contradict some scriptures of the Bible, it's actualy a continuation of the same. Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God and was slain like a prophet. Nothing on earth can change that fact. Even if you don't believe his words, you must admit that Joseph Smitn was a powerful and pursasive speaker.
Even if you are not religious, credit must be given to Joseph that he was scientifically way ahead of his time in regards to the Law of Conservation of Mass (eternal matter that is not created or destroyed), going against nearly all Christians with their creation ex-nihilo, out of nothing. Also in regards to his teaching of the nature of God and the council of Gods, which aligns with both supplementary ancient Jewish texts as well as early Christian theology. As well as the eternal nature of man and his potential for eternal progress. The innocence of children and their salvation. Many other truths. Truly amazing
I love this words of Joseph Smith. I can fell the hope of salvation. I love Jesus and I am be happy that he send Joseph Smith to preach. I will never believe in Jesus without this lecture. Thanks Jospeh!!
@@thomaspearson1919if that is the case then how can we trust any prophet or even the Bible for that matter? The Bible was created. It obviously had a first copy. It never just floated down from heaven physically. So what are we left with? Oh yeah that men wrote the Bible and therefore it has errors. Sola scriptura is flawed down to its basic tenets. The doctrine of the Bible holding its own authority has a contradiction so concrete that it pushes the logical thinkers away from Christ in your churches. So again I ask you, how can we trust the authority of anything if Satan is a master deceiver. I humbly request you give me a straight un-opinionated response. Otherwise we will go around in circles and I am okay with you being wrong on that level.
Yes, this is a strong part of Mormon theology. Mormons believe that anything that persuades anyone to believe in Christ is from God. And anything that persuades men to not believe in Christ is not from God.
The question to this belief-- that anything that persuades anyone to believe in Christ is from God-- is this: in which Christ do you believe? The christ which was created, or the Christ who "through Him all things were created?" The christ which is a separate entity of God the Father, or the Christ who is the "Everlasting Father?" The christ who atoned for sin in the garden of Gethsemene, or the Christ who atoned for sin on the cross of Calvary? The question, therefore, is this: in which Christ do you believe? For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24
Joshua T. It is in the Christ, the Only begotten Son of God. The Savior of mankind who brought to pass the resurrection of the dead. The Father of heaven and earth. Isaiah says “Wonderful, Counselor, the almighty God. The everlasting Father. The prince of peace.”
Joshua T. , also we wouldn’t have been warned against false prophets unless there were going to be real ones. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Yes there will be false prophets , especially the one right before Satan reveals himself in the last days. Also there wouldn’t be an angel flying through the mist of heaven with the gospel to preach to us here on earth (revelations) if the gospel were already on the earth. Gods hand is in all things.
@thomas pearson oh yes because 14 yr old boys w a 4th grade education can just write a 500 plus page book of scripture in three months time that to this day still CAN NOT be proven false and they have been trying for what ? 200 years to do so? The Book of Mormon is true, it’s ACTUAL SCRIPTURE. It bears witness of Jesus Christ as does the Bible. They go hand and hand, The Stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph. That makes Joseph Smith a Prophet of God and a very beloved one at that so be very very careful what you call him!
@@catchingpearls4679 you know that doesn’t work logically, right? It is logically impossible to prove anything wrong. You can only prove something true. So your point is moot. If you believe the Bible is true, then tell me why John 1 says that Jesus is God, all things are created through Him, and without Him not one thing was made? According to LDS doctrine, Jesus is a created being, formed in the womb of Heavenly Father’s first wife. This is a flat and simple contradiction of the Bible. Therefore the Bible and the BoM do not testify of the same Christ, thus they do not go hand in hand!

But is this the proper way to determine if his message is truly from God? The Bible never says to test a prophet by prayer, but by his message. Deuteronomy 13 warns that a prophet must teach correctly about God. Chapter 18 tells us the prophet's prophecies must come to pass. Paul tells us in Galatians 1:8-9 that even angels can appear with a wrong message. We are to compare the message with the teachings of the apostles. In Acts 17:10-12, when Paul went to Berea to proclaim Jesus as the Messiah to the Jews, we read "these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed..." Note, Paul did not tell them to go home and pray about it. They were praised for searching the scriptures, in other words, testing the message to see if it agreed with the prophecies of the Messiah. Note that John made an appeal to fact, not feeling, when he declared "that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;...that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us..." (I John 1:1-3) He continued in the next chapter, verse 21, "I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth...let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning...." Chapter 4, verse 1, "beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." Peter wrote specifically to warn about false teachers: (2 Peter 1:15-16) "Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty...." In Chapter 2, verse 1, he continues "but there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,...and many shall follow their pernicious ways..." Then in Chapter 3 he continues "this second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: that ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandments of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers..." Notice, he refers them to past teachings and facts, not to feelings or prayer. The Mormons misuse James 1:5. That verse is for wisdom during times of temptation and persecution, not for knowledge or testing a prophet. He goes on to warn in Chapter 4, verse 3, about those who pray (and we assume it was in Jesus name) for the wrong things-"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss..." This verse shows our own desires or misdirected ideas can play a part in the answer. If someone claimed God said we should rob a bank and give the money to the poor, would we need to pray about it? God has already spoken on the issue in the Ten Commandments. So why should we pray to know if God and Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith to show him that they are two totally separated gods with resurrected bodies? Or that there were gods BEFORE our heavenly father. (See Smith's sermons in the LDS History of the Church, vol. 6, pp. 305-312, 474-476) Compare his sermons with Isa.43:10-11, 44:6-8, 24-25, 45:5-6, 18-24, 46:5-10. Joseph Smith contradicts Isaiah-which one should we believe? Christians test prophets, pastors, and teachers by the Bible. LDS test the Bible by their prophets. They go about testing the message backwards. The Bible was here first, therefore Joseph Smith must be tested by it, not the other way around. Certainly a decision regarding our eternal life is the most important one we will ever make and deserves careful examination. Anyone meeting with the LDS missionaries should know both sides of the issue. There are plenty of facts from LDS sources to show that Joseph Smith taught false doctrine, lied about polygamy (even to his own wife), changed his revelations, gave false prophecies, etc. He hardly meets the test of a prophet. Truth will stand up to investigation. Deuteronomy 18:17-22 King James Version (KJV) 17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. 20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, Since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, Let them show these to them. 8 Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. God did not kill Joseph Smith pastors and priests who could not stem his tide with their orations that paled in comparison silenced him the same way the pharisees and sadducees silenced Jesus and later the way the gentile nations silenced the 12 in cold blooded murder. Thank God for Joseph Smith!
Very nice job reading. You’ve captured the power, truth and knowledge of Brother Joseph. I think you’re mispronouncing “Elohim” but all in all outstanding delivery. I also liked that you chose the First Vision stained glass image.
God gave us understanding of him in his word The Bible. Jesus taught the OT. AND THEREFORE AGREED WITH IT! The NT is from the Holy Spirit to man. God is spirit. 🕊
@@4pinky2011 I agree with you that Joseph Smith is and was a prophet of God. The greatest prophet of this world in fact (aside from Jesus Christ himself of course) But to say that a person has no faith because they have not reached that understanding yet is ignorance. You don't know that person nor their heart and unless and until you do... You should not judge and pretend that you do. That kind of judgement is Gods realm. (Nice writing it all in Caps though... Very strong.) 👌
rare is there found any more plainly spoken truths, on this planet since the beginning of time, than these words given by this great and honorable prophet of the Lord. anyone who wholeheartedly believes in the full and complete truthfulness of these words will find themselves dwelling in the presence of God in the eternities. Great reading of a powerful message of Godliness and eternal truths.
I have been to a Catholic "church" and an LDS "church", both are dead. But again in the Latter days people will not follow sound doctrine. People love the Lie and this is one of them. Mohammad has many parallels golden tablets, correcting Biblical accounts, but when the angel shows up just say no thank you to a different gospel. LDS are not Christian, nor Mohammad, Catholics...just a remnant, Jesus taught only a few would find him. Did he really mean few? Yep.
"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." God was not a man before the creation of the earth. He was and always will be God, and Joseph Smith will not become Him.
John 10 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? Psalms 82 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Roman's 8 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. John 16 12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 16A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father. I think this scripture pairs real nice with your declaration of everlasting to everlasting. This shows you where you were in that time line before the mountains and the earth was. Job 38 1-7 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Refrence that to the promise of Isaiah 56:1-7 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 3 ¶ Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. 8 The Lord God which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. 9 ¶ All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. 10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Your just an ignorant watchmen and that's nicer then your Father who art in heaven put it. Seek greater light and understanding and listen to what his prophet in these last days is telling you about everlasting to everlasting. 🤡 John 17 extra credit.

@@Apbt-rv7zw ... If you're Mormon, and learning what Christ was like from the BoM+, "following" him would include threatening to DESTROY ppl if they didn't submit to polygamy (D&C132:54&64)... We get a completely different picture of Him when we confine our beliefs to what we learn from the BIBLE... For one example, Luke9:56 assures us that the Lord's purpose in coming was never to destroy lives but to SAVE lives... It's imperative that you get your information of who Christ is/was from the BIBLE, and not from the BoM+... JS had the audacity to change holy, time-hallowed scripture, scripture that verifies the decision to add another woman, Hagar, to a marriage that before that decision, had been an exclusive/monogamous marriage up until old age. ...The decision to change that status was a HUMAN one. Gen16:2 says clearly, "And Abram (a human) heeded the voice of Sarai (another human)." The BoM+ would have us believe the decision was a DIVINE one (D&C132:34, 35&65), COMMANDED by "Jesus," himself (D&C132:24). Obviously, BOTH accounts can't be TRUE b/c they tell us different things... I have a book at home with the name: Spiritual Life and the Word of God. On page 102 of that book is this caution: "From all this it is clear what a profanation it is to falsify the truths and adulterate the goods of the Word, and how infernal it is to weaken its holiness. As soon as this is done, for that man of the church heaven is closed. The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit which cannot be forgiven, is the blasphemy of the Word by those who deny its holiness..." The illustration used in this video is one more proof that Mormons think it's okay to just discard bothersome passages like ones from the Bible that tell us it's impossible to see God as He is in His Father/Soul essence (John1:18, 6:46, 1Tim 6:15&16, Jeremiah23:23 &24). They (Mormons) think it's okay to pick and choose which parts of the Bible to take seriously (emulating Jesus), and which parts can be ignored, even changed (the passages that say it's impossible to see God in His Father/Soul essence, the passage from Genesis16:2, etc, etc). Their first "prophet," JS Jr, claimed he was shown a separate father and son, and despite millenniums-worth of biblical testimony to the contrary, Mormons eagerly jump ship from the Bible (and the Bible's Jesus), and embrace the "Jesus" of the BoM+. ...He goes by a familiar name, after all: "Jesus Christ," but discerning ppl will recognize the deception, that it's a "wolf in sheep's clothing," ploy; used to gain trust... You're fooling yourself, being dishonest w/your motives, when you say, "Jesus says come follow Me. If we follow after Him then it is likely we will become like Him. Certainly progressing to be Christlike and God like is Jesus's teachings." ... Of COURSE Jesus wants us to give up the nature we were born with (thinking primarily of SELF), and become like Him: loving, forgiving, always wanting the BEST for others!!! The BIBLE emphasizes that over and over... The BoM+ however, doesn't encourage becoming "ChristLIKE or God LIKE; it promises being exalted to GODHOOD in the hereafter if you do things right in the here-and-now... The end of D&C132:19 and all of 20 state that clearly as an end goal: 20..."Then they shall be gods, because they have no end; therefore they shall be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then they shall be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then they shall be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them." ...D&C132:37 maintains that Abraham and some of his progeny are enjoying exaltation at this moment b/c they were "obedient" to his command, "Abraham received concubines, and they bore him children; and it was accounted unto him for righteousness, because they were given unto him, and he abode in my law; as Isaac also and Jacob did none other things than that which they were commanded; and because they did none other things than that which they were commanded, they have entered into their exaltation, and sit upon thrones, and are not angels but are gods." You're free to believe what you want to believe, but believing it's true, won't make it TRUE... The Jesus of the Bible and the "Jesus" of the BoM+ aren't the same. One of them promotes God's ideal for marriage, as one man for one woman (Matt19:4-6, Mark10:6-9, etc). The other contends that having multiple wives (polygamy) is what he approves of, and will earn you exaltation. JS takes the Lord's name and nature in vain, claiming he was responsible for unconscionable cases of immorality, cases that would break the heart of Emma, who had thought her marriage to JS was to be an exclusive one. JS convinced under-the-age-of-accountability girls to marry him, said it was the Lord's will, and that they and their families would be rewarded if obedient. He also convinced already married women that it was the Lord's will that they also marry him, that they would be rewarded in the hereafter, if they were obedient in the here-and-now... Amazingly, JS was able to convince credulous ppl that the Lord would behave in a manner so opposite to what they could read of Him themselves from the Bible... In the Parable of the Sower, the description that applies to them is the seed that fell by the wayside, representing ppl who gladly receive God's Word at first, but b/c they have no root in the Word, are vulnerable to being plucked off by those w/devious intentions (birds)... Sigh... I wish you TRUTH for your life's journey, and the discernment to SEE it when it's presented to you... Hope you go back to trusting only the Bible, the NKJV is what I'd recommend, but any version is better than believing the deceptions promoted by the BoM+...
Finish it, Joe makes Jesus look like a piker. Jesus could not even keep his church together. He need Joe to get the work done. PRAISE to the man. Forget Jesus...
Hank Burdick i am sorry He is not. Please turn to the Lord Jesus Christ your eternity depends on it. I listened to learn and only way someone could believe this is if they never studied what it means to be a Christian. He is false profit and there are plenty of websites that can help you see that He was wrong. I think he thought He was but he was delusional.
To Hank Burdick: Joseph Smith had accusations of sexual improprieties levied against him everywhere he lived. Why do you think the mob that tarred and feathered him once had originally designed to castrate him? It wasn't just groundless persecution as the completely whitewashed history maintains. He took other men's wives as his own. He tried to get William Law to satisfy Emma's needs, as she considered Law to be a "sweet little man," and also because Emma complained that she wasn't getting her physical needs met, with all of Joseph's dozens of Nauvoo female conquests and exploits. But William Law utterly refused such an arrangement, and so this became a "test" for Emma, and consequently Joseph then destroyed Law's reputation. Where do you think D&C 132:51-56 came from? Such a passage could only be in response to and a justification for such a scenario. Joseph taught that the "establishment of Zion" was the greatest object of the gospel, dispensation, and Church. So where is it? The present day leaders ignore completely the concept of a "literal Zion," as Joseph taught in the AoF. Get off you damnable high horse, and take look at the abusive nature of your religion. The LDS people cannot think for themselves in critical religious matters, in deference to "follow the brethren." (continued in next post)
(Continued to Hank Burdick): Why would the LDS Church excommunicate Sam Young, whose only crime is seeking to "Protect LDS Children" from horrendous and provocative, routine, sexually explicit ecclesiastical questioning (totally prohibited in any other religion), which traumatizes and shames LDS youth, even to the point of suicide for some of them, and which also leads to serious cases of child sexual abuse by some LDS leaders. Utah leads the nation in per capita sexual abuse. (Fox 13 news report from 3-4 years ago). I wonder why. The apples don't fall far from the tree. How about "What you resist, persists," and "Abstinence makes the Church grow fondlers." So why would the LDS Church excommunicate Sam Young, and yet bring no ecclesiastical discipline against Joseph Bishop, the Missionary Training Center President in Provo who raped in a secluded basement room one of the sister missionaries? And where now the LDS leadership has gone to considerable lengths to destroy the reputation of this lady, who is only seeking acknowledgement, redress and restitution? Joseph Bishop even admitted in an interview recording what he had done to this lady, and even to others at the MTC! But he also revealed that the LDS leaders prior to his being called to the MTC presidency already knew of his previous sexual predation activities, and yet they still called him to preside over young missionaries. You can take your ignorant, and completely unfounded "testimony" of JS and stuff it in the same place where the sun doesn't shine. And this doesn't even get into the multitudinous doctrinal and ordinance changes, which the "prophet" you so boldly testify of said numerous times that couldn't change. Such ignorant tripe you mouth with such a declarative.
Website? Why go to a website when we can go to God, himself! He was and is the prophet of the dispensation of the fullness of times. Someday you will all know what we know, that he is, who he said he was.
So Joseph Smiths unpardinable sin is, if you get Baptized into my Church. Then stop doing all that I command you. Then you are doomed. Sounds like a cult leader to me
God does not have the power to create our spirits but only our flawed bodies and is a man like me? It is no wonder christians were upset at such preaching.
How Does God Identify Himself in the Bible? This lesson focuses on key scriptures in the Bible where God reveals highly significant things about His nature and actions. First, consider the story of the righteous man Job in the biblical book of Job. This story relates the spiritual transformation of Job from a man who knew a great deal about God to a man who really came to know God in a personal and intimate way. This book is highly thought-provoking. For most of the book, Job and his friends are stating what they think they know about God, but their limited views fall far short of understanding the great mind, purposes and plan of God. After God talks with Job, Job has a major breakthrough in understanding. Job said, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes" (Job 42:5-6). Job came to see God in a deeper way with the eyes of faith and spiritual understanding. Job was ashamed of his cockiness, thinking he understood more than he really did, and he deeply repented. When he said, "I abhor myself," he meant that he despised his self-justification and implications that God had been unjust. Job apparently came to realize more deeply that everyone's life includes suffering and that suffering is a necessary part of spiritual growth. Job surrendered to God's will, having come to understand that God is the sovereign Lord of the universe, He has perfect understanding, and He always does what is best for us in the long run. We must trust Him. Has Anyone Ever Seen God? Almighty God is Spirit and, in His usual glorified state, is invisible to the human eye (Colossians 1:15; 1 Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:27). That partly explains why John said, "No one has seen God at any time" (John 1:18). But how should we interpret that since the Old Testament gives many accounts of God appearing to people? Notice that the second half of John 1:18 shows that John was talking about God the Father, not God the Son, Jesus Christ. Also Jesus said, "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God [referring to Himself, Jesus]; He has seen the Father" (John 6:46). These verses point to the fact that the God who appeared to people during Old Testament times was the One who later became Jesus Christ! Prior to Jesus' incarnation (birth) as a human being, John refers to Him as "the Word" and as "God": "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Later John wrote, "And the Word became flesh [when He was born of Mary] and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (verse 14). In Lesson 2 we will thoroughly prove that the God who appeared to people in the Old Testament was the Word who became Jesus Christ, not God the Father. In this lesson, we merely want to establish that fact to prevent any confusion. However, when we discuss the nature or character of God, we make no distinction between God the Father and God the Son because They are identical in nature and character. When Jesus was praying for His disciples and His future disciples to be "one" (united and unified), He prayed, "that they may be one as We are" and "that they may be one just as We are one" (John 17:11, 22). So although we don't literally see God with our eyes (and won't until Christ's return to earth), we can perceive and better understand His nature, character, purposes and goals. That is the purpose of this lesson. What single word best defines God's character? 1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said to him, "‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" Love defines God's nature, and love is what He most wants to see in the character of His children. Therefore, it's no surprise that His greatest commandments are to love-to love God and to love people. What are other words that define God's character and nature? Psalm 11:7 For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright. 1 Peter 1:15-16 But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." Psalm 119:172 My tongue shall speak of Your word, for all Your commandments are righteousness. God is righteous and holy. Even during Jesus' earthly life, He never sinned. God defines the absolute standards of righteous character, and He sets the perfect example. God's commandments and laws spell out God's righteousness, and by obeying those laws we are imitating Christ and becoming like Him. "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:5). What is one of God's roles that we need desperately? 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
Wow Bryan I had to keep reminding myself that this is not Joseph Smith himself talking but Bryan reading out what Joseph Smith wrote. That's how good you were. A I listened the words that came to mind were cockiness, arrogance, insolence and devoid of truth. I have family members who are mormons and after listening to this audio I am trembling with fear for them and anyone else who believes that God the Sovereign almighty God was in his "original state" nothing but a mere mortal.
At min 22:30.. where is this in scripture? Here's what scripture says. Psalms 90:2 [2]Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16). “You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them and the heavenly host bows down before You,” (Nehemiah 9:6). “Thus says the Lord, ‘Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,’ declares the Lord. ‘But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word'” (Isaiah 66:1-2). “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created,” (Revelation 4:11). “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light! Praise Him, highest heavens, And the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created. He has also established them forever and ever; He has made a decree which will not pass away,” Joseph Smith is a liar. Who drew away disciples after himself. Period.
In moroni 8:18 it says God is unchangeable from eternity to all eternity but in king follett discourse Joseph smith says God was once a man as we are and that we have supposed God was God from all eternity and joseph smith says I refute that idea so no I dont agree with js or his kings follett
I think your misunderstanding his definition of the one true God. Scriptures also say we learn line by line here a little there a little I believe it's in Isaiah.
@@six1nyne genesis to revelation should be enough and it says was eternal is eternal always will be,bo where in the old testament is God not eternal and no where in the nt is God not eternal then someone comes along and writes God became eternal, little by little has nothing to do with the kings follett,God did not become God
@@jbaptiste1213 no man he say God is eternal but he says we r too. He says co eternal with God. It's the potter and the clay. The clay has intelligence in that parable. The same kind of intelligence job has when he is shown before the foundations of the world in job 38 1-7 in fact the potter demands of job the clay to tell him where he was if he has understanding. Jesus preached understanding. Mormonism is advanced gospelthe fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is learned line upon line. Jist like a Jesus learned it when he grew in wisdom and in truth and favor with God and man. U don't have to believe it but it is true and Joseph was the real deal. The spirit of truth Jesus tells the apostles about can teach you that if you let it. To u it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom and to them it os not. And to him who hath to him shall be given in abundance and to him who hath not from him shall be taken even that which he hath. Jesus didn't die to teach you about grace he died that so where he is you can be also. The stuff your hung up on is kindergarten. And when your a child you do childish things but when you grow u put away childish things. Their is a lot more u don't know because you won't let God teach it to you. Joseph had a prophet's reward and I come in the name of a prophet are u game? Joseph knew what rock he was built on he knew the cross he had to bear and he was able to do it because of the Rock upon which he was built. Line upon line bro u know the gate by which ye should enter and you cannot climb up someother way. Bit just like job he will demand of you to tell him where you were just as he did Job. He wants you to understand who you are and to what end you were born. He says to job declare it if you know. It's the whole reason the sons of God shouted for joy. I come to bear witness to the truth and the truth is what sets u free. Romans 8 the spirit itself bears witness to our spirit that we are the sons of God and if sons then heirs! You know the gospel is fine when it's black and white Sola scriptura but when it's alive and in your face and you find your self face to face with the invisible God. Thays when you ask for grace that rhe scales that were removed can be put back and when your ears open you pray that you might be deaf to them. So that when he who comes to open the eyes of the blind and cause the deaf to hear that you can be numbered among them. It's why God sent isaiahto preach to Isreal and its why God sent Joseph to preach to Isreal to ensure that where u are he can be also. ✌️
God has always existed and has always been Himself. That hasn't and will never change. He hasn't however, always been exactly in the same state He is in now.
Many of you that like this should take into consideration that Joseph Smith never backed up his claims in this discourse with "Scripture" either from the bible or the Book of Mormon. the fact is the Bible disputes All of Josephs claims Read below... Please Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. Isaiah 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. There are just a few... God is Not a man.. Never was Never will be. He always has been..
Please consider your eternity brother. A painting is evidence of a Painter. A building as evidence of a builder. Creation is evidence of a creator. The Bible taught science before scientist discovered the truth the Bible spoke about. under water currents and underwater geysers. Seek this one small fact to see if it’s true and when you find that it is ask yourself how could this be. I pray that you find yourself on the beginning to the path of truth inspired by the Lord God Almighty for the salvation of your soul.
4 This Comforter is the promise which I give unto you of eternal life, even the glory of the celestial kingdom; 5 Which glory is that of the church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through Jesus Christ his Son- 6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth; 7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made. 8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made; 9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made; 10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand. 11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings; 12 Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space- 13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things. 14 Now, verily I say unto you, that through the redemption which is made for you is brought to pass the resurrection from the dead. 15 And the spirit and the body are the soul of man. 16 And the resurrection from the dead is the redemption of the soul. 17 And the redemption of the soul is through him that quickeneth all things, in whose bosom it is decreed that the poor and the meek of the earth shall inherit it. 18 Therefore, it must needs be sanctified from all unrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the celestial glory; 19 For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father; 20 That bodies who are of the celestial kingdom may possess it forever and ever; for, for this intent was it made and created, and for this intent are they sanctified. 21 And they who are not sanctified through the law which I have given unto you, even the law of Christ, must inherit another kingdom, even that of a terrestrial kingdom, or that of a telestial kingdom. 22 For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory. 23 And he who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial glory. 24 And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory. 25 And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law- 26 Wherefore, it shall be sanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall die, it shall be quickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the righteous shall inherit it. 27 For notwithstanding they die, they also shall rise again, a spiritual body. 28 They who are of a celestial spirit shall receive the same body which was a natural body; even ye shall receive your bodies, and your glory shall be that glory by which your bodies are quickened. 29 Ye who are quickened by a portion of the celestial glory shall then receive of the same, even a fulness. Doctrine and Covenants sec. 88 As revealed by Joseph Smith.
There are simple contradictions in Joseph's sermon with what the Bible clearly states, which simply makes him a false prophet: First Joseph correctly quotes Jn 17:3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." Now I may be missing something here, but does that verse not say - "ONLY TRUE GOD?" That settles the argument, in there not being many gods (or that we could become one), not to mention other verses like Isaiah 43:10, 44:6, etc.. Second, at the time in this discourse of (video) 21:10, Joseph (Bryan) says that learned men state that God made the heavens and the earth out of nothing - and that they do so because of their ignorance - but he is ignoring direct Scripture, for Heb 11:3 says, " By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." So clearly the Bible says that all matter (that which is seen) was brought into being by God's spoken command.
Yes Dave, Jesus to Mormonism is Truly God and He is yours and mine only Saviour. Jesus is our only Redeemer He is the only one known as the Prince of Peace. The children of Israel had been taught to only worship one God under the Law of Moses. This because of their wickedness to chase false gods as had been the case in Eygpt. They are given the lesser law to live and part of that lower or lesser law is to know and concentrate on worshipping one God Jehovah or I'AM. When Jesus is born and ministers to the Jews he tells them that He is the great I'AM and introduces the Higher Law. Part of the higher law that Jesus teaches is that; He Jesus has a Father in Heaven and that the Holy Spirit bears witness to Him Jesus and God His literal Father. If you missed in the King Follet discourse the word Barau or Bara means to orgainise. So God with His perfection can see the elements that would be invisible to the human eye and take this matter and organize to become the building blocks of life and creation. Hope this helps. Cheers
Are you able to see the breath you take in? If you went to space could you breath? Can you see the air on earth or in space? Both appear empty. Can you see molecules, atoms, and particles? Funny how particles, atoms, and molecules seem to be structured, yet yiu can't see them. Matter was organized. You don't make a house because you happen to have wood, brick, and mortar. Those things must be assembled, worked, and organized in to such materials to construct a house. God is in all things my friend. Line upon line. Precept upon precept.
and you're so happy to be rid of us that you hang around chatting away on our sites. Just say you missed us, gillie, or admit the truth, you never joined our church in the first place. You just like arguing over usless religious topics. And why do you keep changing your name?
Kylie Nebeker In times of the shaking faith of your brothers and sisters do not query their folly, but exalt and proclaim your love for them and the congregation as well.
No ARES, it wasn't this speech that led you out. You failed to take this to your Father in Heaven and ask him if it was true. This is why all men and women from the truth once they have found it. They seek their own understanding.... of which they have little.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. When you read the Bible, notice how often you see the words savior, save, saved and salvation. Notice also synonymous words like deliver, delivered and deliverer. When God began to announce the Ten Commandments, He introduced Himself as, "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage" (Exodus 20:2; Deuteronomy 5:6). The miraculous liberation of the Israelites from Egypt illustrates God's plan to miraculously deliver us out of our slavery to sin. And every Sabbath day is a reminder of God's role as Savior (Deuteronomy 5:15). The angel that appeared to Joseph told him that Mary's child should be called Jesus (meaning Savior) "for He will save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). The word salvation is used to refer to the various steps that God takes to save us, but our ultimate salvation will be our resurrection from mortality to glorious immortality (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). What's another of God's important roles? Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Psalm 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth." Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Notice that every Sabbath day is a reminder that we are created beings and a reminder of who our Creator is! That has many implications, including the fact that God is the Owner and the supreme Ruler over His creation, and God is dedicated to providing the best possible care of His creation. We can also learn many things about God by observing His creation, as we are told in Roman 1:18-23. Consider that God also created all the laws, including the laws of science and mathematics and the spiritual laws. When did creation take place? There is often confusion over this question. God's original creation of the universe and planet earth was evidently many millions of years ago. But eventually the earth suffered a cataclysm and all life was destroyed. In Genesis 1:2, the Hebrew word translated "was" is translated in other places as "became." As a result of the cataclysm, this verse apparently should read, "The earth became without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep." Then the rest of Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are describing God's re-creation of the world about 6,000 years ago. As Psalm 104:30 words it, God did "renew the face of the earth." These two phases of God's creation will be thoroughly explained and proved in Lesson 3 of this series on "Getting to Really Know God." Is God the supreme example of grace, mercy and generosity? Psalm 145:8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Our gracious God not only provides all our needs, but also bestows on us the gift of grace. The apostle Paul often used the Greek word that we translate grace to refer to all the spiritual gifts that God offers humanity, including the forgiveness of sin and the offer of eternal life. God's grace is truly amazing and awesome-it is gracious generosity greater than our minds can comprehend! The Old Testament writers often used the Hebrew word hesed (or chesed) when referring to a primary characteristic of God. There is no single English word that adequately translates the profound meaning of this word. It is often translated as "merciful kindness"or"lovingkindness" (which is how it is translated in Psalm 103:4). Is our merciful God also a God of justice? Psalm 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. Deuteronomy 10:17-18 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. We live in an unjust world, and often life isn't fair. That makes it all the more wonderful that we can rely on a God who is completely just and fair. A central question is this: Since everyone sins and the penalty of sin is death, how can God save us and still be a God of perfect justice? It is because Jesus Christ took our place and suffered the death penalty for each of us. Jesus died to fulfill God's justice and thereby made it possible for God to offer mercy toward all humanity. Is God omnipotent (all-powerful)? Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." Ephesians 1:19-20 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places. The word Almighty literally means "all-powerful." One of God's names is El Shaddai, which is translated "God Almighty." All of Psalm 91 is inspiring, for it describes the complete confidence we have if we are trusting in God. After all, God can easily protect us no matter how great the dangers are. God also has supreme spiritual power to defeat Satan the devil, to transform the worst of sinners, and to resurrect mortal humans to become immortal glorified saints in the coming Kingdom of God. Is God omniscient (all-knowing and all-wise)? Psalm 139:1-4 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. Psalm 33:13-15 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. Luke 12:6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Jesus frequently shocked both His friends and His enemies by telling them what they were thinking. God not only knows everything that is taking place in all the seemingly endless universe, He has control over everything that is happening. How comforting to know we have a Creator and Provider who will never forget us or overlook our needs and prayers! Is God omnipresent (ubiquitous, present everywhere at once)? Psalm 139:7-10 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [in the grave, or in the ground], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." God can be everywhere at once because He sends His Spirit everywhere. So the help and understanding that God sends by His Spirit are just as effective and perfect as if God were standing right beside us. God's Holy Spirit also serves as His eyes and ears to bring back to God perfect and total awareness of everything in every place. Hence, God's Spirit provides two-way communication. Last but not least, does God claim all authority and lordship? Psalm 47:2, 8 For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth... God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me." Deuteronomy 13:4 "You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him." God is the sovereign power over all the universe. Everything was created by Him. He expects complete loyalty, reverence and obedience. We must not allow anything in our lives to rival God. Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 spell out many blessings for obedience and many curses (punishments) for disobedience. Our obedience shows our love for God (1 John 5:3). And obedience is a major key to getting God's answers to our prayers (1 John 3:22)
Most are not ready to carry these important truths and mysteries. The bible mentions Gods mysteries several times. What would those mysteries be, because they're not contained in the bible, or the bible wouldn't refer to them as mysteries of God. Things I know! I'd rather live the gospel and take my chances. What do I know? Jesus lives, because He lives, we'll all live again. Jesus is the perfect Son of a loving Father in Heaven The Book of Mormon is true and testifies of Christ! Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God and saw the Father and the Son! Joseph Smith taught that salvation is only had through our Savior Jesus Christ. Families CAN be eternal! You can also know this if you read and study and ask God, then the Holy Ghost will testify to your spirit if you're honest in seeking what's true. Wherever there's more truth there's more happiness available . His true church has been restored to the earth! The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. How our history unfolded has no effect on those truths.
borrowed tomb yooo have you ever found out what these secret “prophesies” are? I explained to my Mormon mother today basically how none of Mormon beliefs go in hand with the Bible among many other things and one thing she said was “I have something that could explain all of it but I don’t think your ready to hear it.” Like if it’s not only my eternal happiness and salvation if it was really going to save me it would be good to know what is that “prophesy”
The idea that coffee automaticly comes into a coffee maker is complete insanity. So is the world just appearing. Someone has to turn on the power and activate the coffee maker. To Joseph, he knows not what God, just that there was something more.

At 22 min. Hebrews 11:3 and Psalm 33:6-9 refutes this. As does Genesis 1:1 in it's clearest reading. Only God existed in the beginning. Then He began to speak and it was. Heaven and earth. Light. Plants and animals. Sun and moon and all the starry host. Joseph Smith is a false prophet.
Min 37:00.. "I encourage all of you, be careful what you do" because you may discover meto be a false prophet, and a deceiver like my Father the Devil..
So he got a revelation of God but uses words that don't exist in Hebrew "Eloi", then makes several grammatical errors and even contradicts his own "translation" by claiming "baith"(not a Hebrew word" was added by an "old Jew". You've got to be kidding me 😂
Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
@@nickhanley5407 you sound like you would be friends with Ezra Booth. He joined because he witnessed Joseph Smith heal a person. Ezra Booth later left the church because he was jealous he couldn't heal people like the prophet had. Some people are seekers of signs, wonders, and powers of God. You may receive a witness of things which would give you a testimony as did Mr Booth, but without having built your testimony from the ground up, you surely have a weak foundation and would fall.
Maxwell Silverhammer I agree, although no matter your faith or lack of faith this confidence man will have more of impacts and go down in history far longer than you or I I assume.
@@JustinleeBeaver You're right he Joseph has gone down in History. For good or bad many believe what they want. I think if people really deeply understood what was taught and revealed by Joseph Smith there is no way he just imagined or made things up.
This Joseph Smith guy sounds like he has a serious Messiah complex. I've heard him use Christ's own words to refer to himself. " I know my testimony is true". Blaspemy.. plain and simple.
There is so much more for people to learn about The Father and Jesus Christ.
Awesome and powerful talk by Bro. Smith!
I like how you did it... Love the emphasis in some phrases... I would say that you nail the spirit and the intention of the speech, Thanks...!!!! I
Thanks for the kind words, & thanks for listening!
I love this words of Joseph Smith. I can fell the hope of salvation. I love Jesus and I am be happy that he send Joseph Smith to preach. I will never believe in Jesus without this lecture. Thanks Jospeh!!
Even SATAN can transform himself into an angel of light. read above.
Thanks for reading the entire thing.

This is the truth. The Church is true.
How is the Mormon church true you mean the bible is with error? Than you know that Mormon church is not Christian.
This is the truth all mormons are headed to the lake....
This is wonderful, thanks
I love Joseph so much. One of the greatest men to walk this earth aside from Christ himself.
You need to re think comparing our Lord to a convicted con man and pedophile. This man and his lies has stolen the souls of million and he will spend eternity in the lake...
I thank thee O’God for a Prophet. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Frequently a person will say to me that the Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) missionaries have challenged them to pray about Joseph Smith's message and the Book of Mormon.
Note that John made an appeal to fact, not feeling, when he declared "that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;...that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us..." (I John 1:1-3) He continued in the next chapter, verse 21, "I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth...let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning...." Chapter 4, verse 1, "beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
Peter wrote specifically to warn about false teachers: (2 Peter 1:15-16) "Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
Deuteronomy 18:17-22 King James Version (KJV)
17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
Joseph Smith has proven himself to be a false prophet and a liar scientifically and historically and biblically how can you trust your eternity to the teachings of this man?!?

21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.Joseph Smith has proven himself to be a false prophet and a liar scientifically and historically and biblically how can you trust your eternity to the teachings of this man?!?

Very nice job reading. You’ve captured the power, truth and knowledge of Brother Joseph. I think you’re mispronouncing “Elohim” but all in all outstanding delivery. I also liked that you chose the First Vision stained glass image.
Thank you
I honestly think Joseph Smith had a new england accent. I think he sounded more like John Kennedy. This, was done very well.
Just finished a Rough Stone Rolling. You are now Joe Smith in my mind.
God gave us understanding of him in his word The Bible. Jesus taught the OT. AND THEREFORE AGREED WITH IT! The NT is from the Holy Spirit to man. God is spirit. 🕊

SWEET, A READING OF THIS FROM A NON CHRISTIAN\
"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." God was not a man before the creation of the earth. He was and always will be God, and Joseph Smith will not become Him.
John 10
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Psalms 82
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Roman's 8
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
John 16
12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Job 38 1-7
1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Refrence that to the promise of Isaiah 56:1-7
Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Daniel Scott... "Sweet" to YOU b/c JS promises exaltation to GODHOOD, which the Bible clearly doesn't teach... The Bible testifies of MONOTHEISM (Deut6:4, Isa43:10, Isa44:6 &8 &24, Isa45:5&6&21&22, Joel2:27, Mark12:29-32, John5:44, etc, etc, Rev1:17&18, Rev21:6 etc)... JS's BoM+ and King Follett discourse promote POLYTHEISM to the max!... Your saying that it is "sweet" to you, means you've fallen for its more enticing, self-gratifying message, which means you've abandoned the Bible's Jesus, and adopted Joseph Smith as your "God" instead... Hope you come back to the Bible's Jesus as your King of kings and Lord of lords (there's only only one of Him, you know)...

@@lolocsun Jesus says come follow Me. If we follow after Him then it is likely we will become like Him. Certainly progressing to be Christlike and God like is Jesus's teachings.
Gen16:2 says clearly, "And Abram (a human) heeded the voice of Sarai (another human)."
The BoM+ would have us believe the decision was a DIVINE one (D&C132:34, 35&65), COMMANDED by "Jesus," himself (D&C132:24).
The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit which cannot be forgiven, is the blasphemy of the Word by those who deny its holiness..."
The illustration used in this video is one more proof that Mormons think it's okay to just discard bothersome passages like ones from the Bible that tell us it's impossible to see God as He is in His Father/Soul essence (John1:18, 6:46, 1Tim 6:15&16, Jeremiah23:23 &24).
Then they shall be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them." ...D&C132:37 maintains that Abraham and some of his progeny are enjoying exaltation at this moment b/c they were "obedient" to his command, "Abraham received concubines, and they bore him children; and it was accounted unto him for righteousness, because they were given unto him, and he abode in my law; as Isaac also and Jacob did none other things than that which they were commanded; and because they did none other things than that which they were commanded, they have entered into their exaltation, and sit upon thrones, and are not angels but are gods."
You're free to believe what you want to believe, but believing it's true, won't make it TRUE...

Hank Burdick what are your thoughts of Edgar Cayce known as the sleeping prophet back from 1877-1945
ua-cam.com/video/4usJNQ8MHng/v-deo.html
The LDS people cannot think for themselves in critical religious matters, in deference to "follow the brethren."
(continued in next post)
How about "What you resist, persists," and "Abstinence makes the Church grow fondlers."
So why would the LDS Church excommunicate Sam Young, and yet bring no ecclesiastical discipline against Joseph Bishop, the Missionary Training Center President in Provo who raped in a secluded basement room one of the sister missionaries?

1 John 4:8
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus said to him, "‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Love defines God's nature, and love is what He most wants to see in the character of His children. Therefore, it's no surprise that His greatest commandments are to love-to love God and to love people.
What are other words that define God's character and nature?
Psalm 11:7
For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.
1 Peter 1:15-16
But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
Psalm 119:172
My tongue shall speak of Your word, for all Your commandments are righteousness.
1 John 4:14
And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
Wow Bryan I had to keep reminding myself that this is not Joseph Smith himself talking but Bryan reading out what Joseph Smith wrote. That's how good you were. [2]Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Please
Numbers 23:19
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
John 4:24

Isaiah 55:9
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

4 This Comforter is the promise which I give unto you of eternal life, even the glory of the celestial kingdom;
5 Which glory is that of the church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through Jesus Christ his Son-
6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;
7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;
10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.
11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;
12 Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space-
13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.
18 Therefore, it must needs be sanctified from all unrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the celestial glory;
19 For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with glory, even with the presence of God the Father;
20 That bodies who are of the celestial kingdom may possess it forever and ever; for, for this intent was it made and created, and for this intent are they sanctified.
25 And again, verily I say unto you, the earth abideth the law of a celestial kingdom, for it filleth the measure of its creation, and transgresseth not the law-
26 Wherefore, it shall be sanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall die, it shall be quickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the righteous shall inherit it.
As revealed by Joseph Smith.
There are simple contradictions in Joseph's sermon with what the Bible clearly states, which simply makes him a false prophet:
First Joseph correctly quotes Jn 17:3 "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." Now I may be missing something here, but does that verse not say - "ONLY TRUE GOD?" That settles the argument, in there not being many gods (or that we could become one), not to mention other verses like Isaiah 43:10, 44:6, etc..
Cheers

Proud of you for leaving and discovering the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Psalm 104:30
You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth."
Exodus 20:11
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.
In Genesis 1:2, the Hebrew word translated "was" is translated in other places as "became." As a result of the cataclysm, this verse apparently should read, "The earth became without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep."
Then the rest of Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 are describing God's re-creation of the world about 6,000 years ago. As Psalm 104:30 words it, God did "renew the face of the earth." These two phases of God's creation will be thoroughly explained and proved in Lesson 3 of this series on "Getting to Really Know God."
Is God the supreme example of grace, mercy and generosity?
Psalm 145:8
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.
Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
Psalm 103:2-4
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.
Psalm 33:5
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 10:17-18
For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.
Psalm 91:1-2
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust."
Ephesians 1:19-20
And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.
Psalm 139:1-4
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
Psalm 33:13-15
The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
Luke 12:6-7
"Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
Jesus frequently shocked both His friends and His enemies by telling them what they were thinking. God not only knows everything that is taking place in all the seemingly endless universe, He has control over everything that is happening. How comforting to know we have a Creator and Provider who will never forget us or overlook our needs and prayers!
Is God omnipresent (ubiquitous, present everywhere at once)?
Psalm 139:7-10
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [in the grave, or in the ground], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
2 Chronicles 16:9
"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."
God can be everywhere at once because He sends His Spirit everywhere.
Psalm 47:2, 8
For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth... God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne.
Exodus 20:3
"You shall have no other gods before Me."
Deuteronomy 13:4
"You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him."
God is the sovereign power over all the universe.

The bible mentions Gods mysteries several times. What would those mysteries be, because they're not contained in the bible, or the bible wouldn't refer to them as mysteries of God.

Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God and saw the Father and the Son!
Joseph Smith taught that salvation is only had through our Savior Jesus Christ.
