I am 56 & there is always more to learn when it comes to God, I am sure it is an endless lesson, in a good way! I even have a sleeping St Joseph on my nightstand. Merry Christmas! :)
When the wise men bowed before the Christ-child I wept. This is the best factual telling of the Nativity I have ever seen. So many don't realize that by the time the men from the East saw Christ he was no longer a tiny baby.
But Harod was still looking for the New King. The hardships they endured and never did Jesus’ Mother and Father who adopted the little baby in Mary’s immaculate womb ever even pause when hardships came their way. Lord, help me to Love you as Mary and Joseph Love You!🕊️💕

I did too. I watched this scene about 3x now and I am still weeping. I am showing this scene to my grade 6 Religion class to explain the visit of the Magi to the child Jesus. It is so powerful to discover that they arrived when Jesus was already a child, no longer a baby. Luke 2:11

not true! Christmas is a manmade tradition of false gods. Saturnalia and it ties in to the new years festival all for Chronos/Saturn, the childeating god of time. There u have your "clock" and your child sacrifice aka "new years baby".

I have to say that in these hard times, it seems like the"Last Days", The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands out as a light to me. I don't know of another Church or Christian group who is still continually pointing the Way to God our Heavenly Father, through His only Son, Christ Jesus like the LDS. I am not a member of the LDS Church, but I feel something so wonderful drawing me towards the "Light". I realize the LDS Church is not perfect, but what institution involving mankind is? I know of no other group that is working as hard as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to reach the world! It would wreck my family, but I am considering making a move a little at a time. Thanks and may God continue to bless you!

Appreciate your perspective. Too many people seek perfection and science when we do not live in an infallible world. The foundation of the LDS church is something special and does stand out in a world that seems mostly filled with corruption and chaos.

Ever since this was released, I have come back every year to re-watch it. It is beautifully done and even though most of us do not understand their words, the meaning is portrayed and understood.
This is the best portrayal of the birth of Christ. Normally I feel very uncomfortable with actors playing such sacred roles, but this one stands alone ❤
The actors portrayal - the EMOTIONS shown - made me feel I was truly observation the characters. The wise man leader's expressions....so well done!

The biggest impression that came to me was "What gift can I bring to the Savior, Jesus Christ this Christmas? Then I saw at the end of the video, "Jesus went about doing good". So can I. The gift I can give to him this Christmas and everyday is going about and doing good everyday in His name.

I love the part at the end where the wiseman is overcome with emotion at finding the young Jesus. "This is it. After all my searching I found Him!" May our journeys, whether quick like the shepherds' or long like the wisemen's, be successful in finding Him.

I love that the acting and casting was so accurate that the wise man's hand has dirt and unclean nails. Such attention to detail!
I really enjoyed the portrayal of Joseph supporting Mary every step of the way in this journey. I love the detail of Joseph holding Mary's hands in his as she is going into labor. As a father, I admire his strength, and to take on a responsibility that he did not seek out for himself. His portrayal is very typical of a new (step-)father surrounding the birth where mother and baby are the primary focus and he is unsure of what to do or how he fits in, but just goes with the love he has for the child and does what he can to express that love.
Loved the scene with Mary singing to him and the wise men meeting him. ☺️☺️

Thank you from a Seventh Day Adventist for a true scriptural representation of the Birth of and early life of Jesus Christ.
You won't see this done in Hollywood. No matter how many movies they put out, they get the Nativity story wrong. Most Biblically accurate video of the birth/first years of Christ done in less than 20 minutes.
There's not a time that I didn't cry watching this. It made me realize that the circumstances when our Savior was born, cannot be compared to how favorable the circumstances were when we were born to this world. Most of us were born in hospitals, or in clean rooms at least. Most of us had nurses to care for us. He had none of those. He experienced all sorts of pain and was crucified, yet He showed nothing but love and compassion to everyone. What reason do we have to not follow His commandments? But the most striking part for me, is when the wise men cried when they saw the child Jesus. If He showed to us now, would we recognize our Savior?

I am so glad someone knows what it is actually like to be in labor! Mary looked like she was in real unmedicated labor and not Hollywood labor. There is so much emotion between Mary and Joseph in the video and it makes me ponder about their faith to raise the Savior of the World. Well done to the director, actors, and everyone who worked to make this amazing short film.

@Mike H that is a very interesting belief and thank you for sharing. We believe in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that Jesus did come to earth to live a mortal life and he was literally the Son of God. He was perfect and the only person able to come to fullfill the atonementment so we can be resurrected and live with God again. We don't know all the details about Mary's situation but this movie took into account all the records and history our church had compiled. It was said to be the most detailed and accurate film production of Christ's birth we have. I think the movie portrays Mary's faith to be willing to bear and birth the son of God. It would greatly discredit Mary's motherly role if Christ just magically appeared out of no where. Why would she have to be "big with child?" But this is a minor detail and probably doesn't matter to our salvation. I can say that we do agree that Jesus Christ came to save us. Thanks for the thoughts!
I love Joseph and Mary in this, and how the star appeared, and how the wise men came when Jesus was a toddler like in the scriptures. It's interesting that even though the dialog isn't in English, I understood what they must be saying. Beautiful.

Incredible! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) truly understands the meaning and purpose of Christ. This portrayal is so touching.

you need to know that we Muslims believe in Jesus (pbuh) and love him more than ourselves, but as the Messiah and a prophet, not as God or son of God.
Our creator (God almighty, the father) sent prophets and messengers to mankind throughout history to guide them to the straight path, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and the last and final one Muhammad and many other prophets (peace be upon them all) and sent with them revelation (Psalm, Torah, Gospel and Quran).
But after God saved and raised Jesus pbuh when they tried to kill him, people started worshipping him instead of God and changed his message. They went from worshiping one God, the creator of all, to trinity.

Christianity renewed my view on life, I'm no longer suicidal/nihilistic. No amount of drug or psychiatric help could have ever given me such inner peace. Only God fills the void.
As a physics major-- it's unavoidable to come to such conclusions like, "There is no God." But not until I dwelled deeper into emergence theory, holographic universe theory and quantum consciousness. This is one of the most beautiful, most moving rendition of Our Lord Jesus Christs birth. I am deeply moved. I do not understand a word of the language but i still felt and understood every single moment and gesture. When the sheperds arrived, her reaction from startled to this warm and amazing feeling of love and the utmost respect from God. As the Mother of God what an honour. Only a Mother can truly understand how powerful both moments of Jesus being exalted even as a child mean to her.I mean just imagine God loving you this much as to be the Mother of his only son. You can feel the responsibility and deep humility of Joseph even just by how he moves, how he speaks to our holy Mother Mary. How emotional the king got when he saw the child Jesus, to have the honour to see baby Jesus, the reverence. This looks like a truer representation than all those Hollywood movies. The characters look far more believable. Especially the shepherds in the inn, the manger, and the gifts from the 3 wise men.
The bible never said 3 wise men, so there was more in this movie, AND they were at the house of the YOUNG CHILD....NOT THE MANGER SCENE! This was the most accurate account of the story of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! So overwhelming to see the wise man weep for joy that he finally found HIM! JUst as we should be, when we first found Jesus ! AMAZING!
Everything about this is so realistic, human and authentic. It made me weep.
He is our Savior. He loves us more than we know. Let us not waste what He has done for us. Let us show our profound gratitude for the gift of His life.

I had Sunday school, so we watched this beautiful video and we were also given a card. The card talked about the symbolism of "A baby (Jesus) swaddled tightly in a cloth, laying in a manger". We were told that a manger wasn't just for feeding, but keeping animals safe. But to be specific they mainly put an unblemished lamb in the manger, and swaddled it up in a cloth, when the lamb is ready to be sacrificed. The symbolism is astonishing. Jesus was an unblemished baby (one of his names is also the lamb of God) and was swaddled tightly in a cloth and put in a manger.

you need to know that we Muslims believe in Jesus (pbuh) and love him more than ourselves, but as the Messiah and a prophet, not as God or son of God.

Beautiful. My heart is filled with reverence for this precious moment in the history of the world. I am grateful for the Savior and His perfect example to me and to all.
I love the part where Mary sings to her little newborn son Jesus in Hebrew. Though I wish I knew what she was saying in her lullaby. And I like that the Innkeeper's Wife eventually comes and helps deliver Mary's baby. Futhermore, I really appreciate that they show a moment with Joseph and baby Jesus, because normally only Mary is shown interacting with little Jesus. But the best part, in my opinion, is when we get to see adorable little toddler Jesus. That child is so adorable, I can't help it. And that happy little smile across his face after he receives the gifts!

Mary and Joseph are actually the perfect role models for love and being married at a young age. Joseph is a great role model for men. The love he had for his young wife even when other people were doubting her for having a baby and still being a Virgin. Joseph stood by Mary's side and loved her so much. Beautiful. This is the perfect example of young love
I cried buckets... but an unexpected thing made me cry the most... The three gifts... as I felt that my gifts were accepted too... time, love, a life of faith... yup I cried... I love that this depicts the true accuracy surrounding his birth. It's not that there was no room (space), it was that there was no room as in privacy. All of his family and friends had returned to Bethlehem for the taxation. Joseph and Mary did not want the birth to be a spectacle so the stable was an okay choice; which also fulfilled the scripture of the Savior's lowly birth. And the wise men was a wonderful depiction as well. So beautifully done. So tender. I testify to you all that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the Messiah. He fulfilled all scripture and is our one true salvation. May we bless you all abundantly as you turn to Him in faith and love is my prayer for you all.

I've watched this video numerous times over 2 Christmas seasons and am touched by the Spirit every time! Jesus is the Living Christ, the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer! This is sooooo well done by everyone who worked to produce this! Thank you! I am particularly touched by the Wise man meeting his long awaited Savior and King for the first time! I wait for that day! We do agree on one truth, God didn't send himself down to earth. When Jesus asked why has thou forsaken me, He wasn't talking to himself nor was He praying to himself during His life. We (members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) believe that God, our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, Jehovah, are separate beings but one in purpose. We believe Jesus is God's first born Son in spirit and His Only Begotten earthly son.
May I ask you how you know Jesus didn't die on a cross? How do you know He wasn't resurrected and doesn't live today? Proof?
I have felt a power beyond this earth (The Holy Ghost) communicate to me that Jesus lives! Anyone who humbles themselves and learns about Jesus and prays, asking in His name to our Father in Heaven for this witness can receive that same witness! It is my pearl of greatest price in my life! My favorite part is when the wiseman offers the gift and seems to realize it is nothing in comparison to what Christ gives to us.
