I found a garbage bag big enough to just slip the tire into, then got a hot Philips screwdriver and burned 5 weep holes on the bottom. I put liquid film on the rim before I wrapped it. Then just taped up the top where the chain goes through. I also put some tin tape over the black garbage bag where the muffler comes close. Looks good and protected. Did this after I got the underneath oil based undercoated.
Thanks for the video...I was trying to find a place to "wrap" my new spare tire and rim (or vacuum seal)...seems like boat manf wrap up boats in a white plastic bag of sorts...why not tire shops too?
Joe silverbliss has a few extra gigantic garbage bags if you want one. Helps protect you spare tire in muddy corn fields! Especially good for new silverado trucks.
Question, my tire is so close from the exhaust i think it might melt :s (nissan frontier) whats your thought on that... should i use something else, if so, ahat
@@OutdoorsmanChannel actually seems to have like an exhaust form burnt, sorry im not good in english lol, and new to ‘trucks’ doesnt seem normal lol, wish i could send u a pic
@@davidst-pierre8972 Definitely not good if the exhaust is damaging the tire. You might want to have someone look at your exhaust. I think the Nissan trucks have some pretty good online forums too. Unfortunatley I'm not very familiar with them.
Very intuitive! Thanks a bunch. Minds like yours are greatly appreciated.

Clever idea. I’ll have to try. Thanks.

I would not advice using the bag if you think it will melt. Do you notice any melting or heating up of your spare tire from the exhaust?
