    I think this is the best sounding Rhodes VI on the market now. Can't wait to see what you guys do to the Wurly!

      It sounds good but I did'nt have the time to compare with the pianoteq MKI-II-W1 pack so I'm not sure for the "best in the world". But I'll update to 8 anyhow.

      You should try Scarbee. Or Keyscape.

      @@tonylancer7367 I have both. I also have Key Suite, all of EZKeys, and some random ones from more boutique companies. I haven't tried this one in person, but from the demos I've heard I think it will out perform all the ones I have.

      Its ok, the only one that has given me the feel of a real Rhodes is the Crumar 7. They use physical modeling, matched with their velocity curve that seems to work perfectly with the sound.

    I have Keyscape, but for some reason none of their Rhodes presets give me a sound that sits well in the mix, or something similar to what I hear on records from the get go. Stage-73 on the other hand is very easy and instantly recognizable, and you don't have to do much to it.

      I agree I had to tweak keyscape and add the effects whereas arturia is ready to go out the box. I love them both though as I learn more sound design the deep I can go.

    Great vid and really looking forward to getting into the instrument. They are all so good though, I get easily distracted.

    Is there a way to connect this software to Ableton Live? To use the Stage-73 sounds in Ableton?

    • @JudgeFish
      @JudgeFish 3 роки тому +1

      Yes it is a VST plugin so in Ableton live it behaves like any of the stock plugins like operator etc.

    Great video :) Can I ask you what kind of setup you use to minimize the latency while playing realtime? It's bugging me a lot not to make it below 5ms. I still feel it's not enough.
    Thanks

    Hey arturia,
    Why you took away presets like "Attacked" and "awake"? They were my fav.😭😭

      Hi! I guess you are talking about Analog Lab 4 that became Analog Lab V? Both will coexist and you can still use Analog Lab 4 if you miss some presets :)

      @@ArturiaOfficial I mean the presets in the stage 73 V were amazing. But then I updated to V 8 and now they are missing.

    Where is the sustain pedal? The V2's Damper Duration doesn't come close to the amount of sustain you could get on the previous Stage 73 V, and I'm not seeing anything else that seems to effect sustain on the V2. The original Stage 73 V from Arturia had a sustain pedal in the vst's interface that was extremely helpful. All of the midi notes you recorded would be short, sweet, and easy to edit, but you would still be able to dial in exactly the amount of sustain you needed, or even automate the sustain amount over time if you wanted. With this new version removing that sustain pedal (for some reason) sure you can plug in a physical sustain pedal into your midi controller to send the midi sustain CC, but that just causes all of the notes played to stay pressed down, and will cause all of your recorded midi notes in your daw to be extended, overlapping, and very difficult to edit. Arturia, the Stage 73 V2 sounds beautiful, but this issue puts a real cramp in the stride of an otherwise amazing instrument. Could you please update this to include a sustain pedal like the original Stage 73 V?

    I’m sorry but if you compare this to the Yamaha on board modeled and sampled Rhodes sounds onboard motif, Mx, and montage, including Chick’s Mark V, this just does not even come close. This really unsold me on this product.

      @jonathanosborn4800 2 роки тому +1

      Yamaha only uses samples on those boards. It was the early CP-1, 4,-5 that used some modeling

    soft synths are like poor mans coke soft synth sound so metallic if i had a choice between real synth plug in to a analogue desk from the 90s a atari st 1040
    and akai sampler i would perfer that than a modern day setup any day of the week today sound is so degrade thing sounded better in the 90s

      Considering the costs involved in purchasing (serviceable) vintage analog/digital gear, it makes sense for musicians looking for certain sounds to seek out the more affordable virtual instrument equivalents. Not everyone has $100,000 for a CS-80 or even $4000 for a reasonably decent Rhodes piano but most folks have $150 for a VST equivalent.
