Twitter (or a platform like it) is pretty important for events like revolutions, protests and wars. The share price is just deflating to the point where it is realistic. And where other companies will be willing to buy tesla out. Which needs to happen soon.
Not really, it makes most money from and revenue, and many are pulling out, the blue tick money won't make it back, especially considering Twitter will need to pay companies like apple for payments in the apple Twitter app, which every app on the Apple app store pays.

Tesla was the result of visionaries, but not Elon Musk. The Tesla Roadster that Elon is so proud of is the chasis of the lotus (which they had lined up at tesla months before Elon was aware they existed) with the drivetrain of the tzero (which is the car Elon test drove that encouraged him to get in touch with Tesla) and lithium ion batteries which the guys who actually founded tesla brought to ac propulsion to add to the tzero to give it the performance that elon and others enjoyed so much. Appreciate the level of expertise! The only point I would beg to differ on is that the capacity of Twitter to amplify hate rhetoric is diminished by it's size. For a lot of hate killers in recent history, their first forums were small outlets with poor moderation.
Twitter is now a big outlet with poor moderation.
The issue is that many newsrooms use it as an assistant editor. So, whatever happens on the platform gets amplified off the platform. Twitter content is also frequently re-posted on reddit and facebook.
@Virginia Gould I'm wondering what your sources are for the firm stance each of your opinions carry. For example, there is no question that social media is a powerful means for controlling large numbers of people. However, Twitter can't be referred to as the most influential social media platform without any supporting or accompanying data for a legitimate comparison.

Twitter (or a platform like it) is pretty important for events like revolutions, protests and wars.
In addition to that there are groups like artists, who might not be important in the grand scheme of things, but still deserve a platform to promote and share their art, also for finding customers who commission stuff.
