Iran has said before it was attacked that it will retaliate if attacked. So it will lose face if it doesn't. But it may depend on how succesful these sttacks were. If Iranian air defense has been adequate Iran will respond probably more aggressive than if the air defense failed. Maybe the surprisingly non agressive statement from the Israeli army after the attack says something about the succes of the operation. We'll see.
