I was at Barnes and Nobles checking this game out and was on the fence. I picked up The Oregon Trail card game a while back and liked the coop survival aspects of it, but I always wanted something with a bit more depth. I might check out Aeon's End now. :) Thanks for the review! -Joe
Hi! We felt EXACTLY the same as you on EVERY single point you make! The reason it isn’t a beatable Game, is because even the so-called ‘GOOD’ Event Cards are NOT good... There’s an immediate penalty every time you draw one; you have to pay Food or Water or something, and you’ll invariably already have used it to fend off some beast or monster... Then you are penalised by losing a Health point for not having it... I think if they’d literally made the Good Event Cards 'Good; as the name claims, then I think at least this Game may perhaps be playable - but as it is, it sucks... We too don’t know how it got past the Play Testers - but you want the honest truth? When you own a 1000 Games like me, then you’ll know that sometimes Play Testers are in a world of their own!
I agree about the difficulty. I have played it 3 times and it feels unbeatable. My brother even refuses to play it again and he plays just about everything
Thank you for clearly explaining how to play this and the honest review.

The BoardGame Renegade They messaged me that the rules are missing a crucial rule
Bower's Game Corner Care to elaborate or is there an update on bgg?
The BoardGame Renegade They didnt tell me the rule and as far as i know its not on bgg. Pretty bushleague
That's odd. I'd think that they'd get the corrected rules out ASAP before the game's reputation of being unbeatable ruins sales.
