- Before I drop my next Volume, I think I owed it to myself to tell my story, on my own channel in my own words.
A few weeks ago I met @QoyLawal for the first time, no pre-conversation and we spoke in detail about where I've been, what I've overcome in the music industry, life and tribulations and what is next for me.

DDB is such a righteous soul! It saddens me that people tried to take advantage of her, but I’m beyond happy she’s taken control over her life. I Love all stages of DDBs music and sound, but I love her artistic ability enough to allow her to grow and switch up her sound without expecting too much. Fans have to realize that if an artist evolves, the fan should be as well.
Been here since Leaned Out and still listening to it till this day. I tuned out as soon as the music turned dark. So so happy to hear that the light comes trough again. We need confident, unique and creative women in this world. Much love

Listen, sister, I am going through as we speak. It's crazy. You're speaking about the music industry, but it's applying to my personal life experience and relationship now. I'm crying and laughing with you. Give thanks for the honesty empress. You are giving me strength. It's mad how we just give up all of our power, love, and freedom; thinking that's what you just do when you're in love. But true love should empower you. Not put you in a cage. I get that now. Give thanks to the other empress, Qqy as well, she showed a lot of empathy. Both of you took my feelings and put them into words. I have always been a supporter of your music, and I hope to meet you one day. After I've done all my healing and fixed myself up, we can smoke a zoot on the beach and laugh about the days when we forgot who we really were. Black women are actually saving lives.

This interview and hearing your story gave me Goosebumps. I felt your pain, but love how it ended so positively, seeing the bond you have between your sisterhood was the purest and most emotional sight. 🥲 They are right, this is just the beginning of IAM DDB!
