This meeting in late 1980s in Dubai is vividly recalled by Baljeet Parmar as an eye opener as this one revealed how meek and weak the mighty underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim used to look before the formidable Haji Mohammad Ashraf.
Haji Mohammad Ashraf was a close aide to former Pakistan President General Zia ul Haq and was considered to be a main supplier of Gold to several Dubai, Pakistan and India based gold merchants. Haji Mohammad Ashraf later on showed Baljeet Parmar his highly fortified gold lockers in a downtown Dubai area where huge Almirahs with Gold biscuits were heavily guarded and used to be supplied from.
The video sheds light into the nuances of how powerful suppliers and mighty businessmen delving into smuggling maintain their strong hold over what normal people perceive to be dreaded underworld dons like Dawood Ibrahim.
Baljeet ji I was,I am a great fan of you,I worked in Mumbai customs for 37 years in various capacities and retired as astt.commr and all the incidents what you are referring regd l.d Arora and Salim etc were all true and I am witness to that Era, as I joined customs in 1983,and retired in 2017.in customs whenever you use to publish various incidents, various scams it use to be a shock to us ,and I always wanted to meet you,tried through joginder mama and many others .dayashankar,l.d.arora ,Jayaram etc were my boss.nice to hear you on UA-cam.great,Pl live long.
