Completely agree with you on Mystic Moonpie. It really goes with everything. I keep meaning to get a backup because it will likely be the first Devinah shade I use up. Chromophore is green on my eyes.
This video has been very helpful. I just started buying from the brand and I have been having tons of fun building palettes with unique color stories that inspire me. Thank you for doing such a detailed overview and comparison. I’ve added a couple shadows to my wishlist. 😁
What a wonderful Sunday surprise. You do such a fantastic job with this type of content! Devinah is definitely one of my top faves. I was with you, waiting and waiting forever for the Sugar Drops restock. I have 7 of the 9. I didn't get Soda Swamp or Cake Bomb. I think from Cavitea is slightly cooler than Soda Swamp and a tad lighter. But they are so similar that I only chose one. I was surprised how much I love Taffy Bomb because I had heard how flaky it was, I was hesitant to get it. Honesty, I was hesitant to pick up as many of the Sugar Drops as I did because of hearing how similar they were to some shades in my collection (like the Reserves from SBSD or Clionadh's Glitter Irideescents). But these are all so distinct in formulas that I have no regrets! Yes there are some repeats jn colours but not in formulas which makes the shades unique.
YESSS I totally agree about having the same color in different formulas - to me it makes enough of a difference to warrant having multiple! I use them for different purposes!❤️
Absolutely amazing as always!! A dupe comparison of Terra Moons vs Devinah would be really cool since Devinah usually has a better price range and sales
Your cavitea and soda swamp look exactly alike in the swatch on my screen wow. I got the first batch on the day they launched and my cavitea is more pink and soda swamp is more purple I can tell the difference but I also heard a lot of people say they’re too similar for them to own both that got them same exact time. Actually alot of people said to own the whole collection they wouldn’t recommend because a lot of shades were too similar to them and would look the same on the eye and instead suggested to pick one from pink/purple tones pick one from blue/green tones and then Sugies and gumbles. But I personally like em all.
I really enjoyed watching this video as it was incredibly informative! Even though I have numerous Devinah shadows, I never got around to swatching all of them. However, after watching this video, I felt motivated to identify and explore my collection. By the way, have you made a video on the highlighters? I believe that would be an excellent addition!
Thank you so much!! That makes me happy to hear ❤️ I haven’t tried their highlighters or heard much about them!! Is it something I should check out? 👀👀
@@seekingshifts I love Devinah queen highlighter - it puts a big smile on my face 😃and was looking for you tube videos on the other highlighters to see if I should get anything else. So, yes 👍 I would say check it out!
Devinah is one of the first indie brands I've tried. I own some 30 ish eyeshadows from them, I think their shimmer formula is pretty well rounded as it doesn't crease on my hooded lids. I would have purchased more if I didn't realise that they irritate my eyes. I don't know for sure what does that, but my money is on the wax they use. Wish they used synthetic wax instead, but oh well. Great swatches and comparisons, although I wish you'd swatch Marama vs Fairy fire since I heard that it is essentially the same shift, just a different base.
Oh thank goodness you say cavitea and soda swamp are the same ! I keep trying to find the difference and even thought maybe there was a labelling mistake 😅
I love devinah mattes they can be delicate for sure and break easy but they are so smooth and work so well another downside with her mattes is after about a year or two they expire they get this gritty texture to them and don’t swatch well anymore
These comprehensive brand videos are everything!! I keep revisiting just to drool at your swatches and add to my wish lists 😅 I think Devinah was the first indie I dipped my toe in and I haven’t looked back her shadows are beautiful. Cavitea looks cooler toned and more textured in the group shots to me but it is splitting hairs 🤣
😀I was confused about the pronouciation of so many shades from Devinah and TerraMoons. Aquila you pronounced correctly. It's a constellation (and also Latin for "eagle"). Devinah and Terra Moons really want us to appreciate Astronomy 😁. I did pick up Midnight Nova with the Sugar Drops and the shade pulls really warm on me! It took me a minute to come to terms with how different it looks.on me than inso many of the swatches I've seen. (I have learned to get it to the dominant cool toned version by laying it on top of a matte blue or purple and this gives me the look I was expecting. Either way I love this shade😀) I have deeper skin tone and it's shades like these tbat remind me how important it is for brands to show swatches on a variety of skin tones. Terra Moon's does a.great job at this because they give us not just tan but also deeper skin tones.
LOL thank you for confirming. Also this is a really great point and valid criticism. I wish Devinah had more skintones showing swatches on their website. There are so many talented creators with deeper skin tones who could easily do the swatches
I love my Devinah shades. Their black based multichromes are so easy to line with. I’m a big fan of the brand’s formula and own quite a few of their collections. The only collection I’m still waiting for the restock is the Galaxy Dust one.
Oohhh I haven’t tried using them to line with!! I definitely agree they’re the easiest black based multis I’ve tried to work with! I need to try this. I’m glad they’ve been doing more frequent restocks lately!
I think Cavitea has a touch more blue sparkle making it a touch cooler from what I see it's almost impossible to tell them apart. It's a notch cooler. Very slim notch 😂
From my perspective “Cavitea” reads indiscernibly cooler in tone regarding every shift except gold which then seems more prominent in Cavitea, contradicting I know..
it might just be my eyes trying to justify a difference between them, but cavitea looks the sliiiightest bit more blue/purple head-on compared to soda swamp?
As a dedicated fan I ofc watched last weekend already but my comments were glitching. So I wanted to come back and say that there is indeed sth special about Messier
As someone in Canada, that can purchase from shine by sd without paying for shipping, that dreadful VAT and terrible US /CAD exchange rate.. I'm having a hard time deciding between ordering from them or Devinah. It seems less expensive than Shine by SD even with the exchange rate. Shine by SD is out of stock on some similar shades I can order from Devinah too. Wondering if anyone here has purchased from both Divinah and Shine by SD. What's your thoughts? Do you find one product better than the other in some way? Thanks to anyone that may answer! 😊
The only difference that I notice is where they shift so like the top one say about 1 inch from the left when it’s shifting a certain color, the bottom one is shifting slightly to the left if that makes sense, so the shift 100% the same colors but it’s Where it shifts but that literally could just be the light and my eyes playing tricks on me, but other than that that’s the same eyeshadow like 100% the same not a dupe like it’s the same eyeshadow
Completely agree with you on Mystic Moonpie. It really goes with everything. I keep meaning to get a backup because it will likely be the first Devinah shade I use up. Chromophore is green on my eyes.
You make the best best bestest content!!! I watch over and over, thank you for all of the detailed info!
AW thank you so much! 🥰🥰❤️
I've missed your make-up content happy to see you back in my feed for both art forms ❤
❤️❤️
YAY! I’ve been waiting for this 🔥. Devinah is the largest part of my singles collection ❤️.
YES I remember our struggle waiting for the sugar drops to restock 🤣❤️

Stellar video! Thank you so much for the help! Just got a huge haul.
Your swatches are soooo good! I was just building a dream cart for Devinah and now I’m tempted to actually make a purchase!
On another note, I looooove phenomenon. I feel so fortunate to have that one
I always associate that shade with you!
Absolutely amazing as always!! A dupe comparison of Terra Moons vs Devinah would be really cool since Devinah usually has a better price range and sales
I love this and I have a TON of Devinah shadows😍😍😍😍😍
🥰🥰
This is so helpful, thank you 💕
Enjoying this series and I know it’s a ton of work, so thank you! Looking forward to the Terra moons version 🤓

Cavitea looks ever so slightly bluer upfront but it's honestly like splitting hair

😳😳 I haven’t noticed that!! I’ve had most of mine since 2021 but I’ve also repressed them so maybe that makes a difference?

I’ve been wanting to try Devinah for awhile now. Added a couple to my wishlist. Thank you!!
They used to call me Marshmallow Pillows in college! *slaps knee*
.....I'll see myself out
I hope my husband doesn’t see this otherwise it will be my new nickname for the foreseeable future 💀

Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be no ads on this video!
So helpful ❤

What do you think of Devinah Fire Hunt compared to Palladium from Terra Moons? 🤔 Looks like they could be same pigment, different formulas
it might just be my eyes trying to justify a difference between them, but cavitea looks the sliiiightest bit more blue/purple head-on compared to soda swamp?
I think you might be right!! I need to look at them again in more realistic lighting and report back 🤣
As a dedicated fan I ofc watched last weekend already but my comments were glitching. So I wanted to come back and say that there is indeed sth special about Messier
