According to the CSIRO GenCost report on demand storage would triple the cost of power. The on-demand storage would only be commercially viable a few peak hours a day at best. Maybe 15-20% of the power each day could come from on-demand stored solar and wind energy. Gas may provide 80% of our electricity some days with-in the next 10years.
