Here are some resources that I've found helpful as therapist: ua-cam.com/video/BXLH0d0vz9A/v-deo.html
Not sure if you know , but the captions are completely different than what you talk about n the video, it’s some weird creepy script about death and South Korea , not sure if this was a accident or if it’s a UA-cam glitch but I thought I reach out so that your video wouldnt get flagged and you could change it . Great info though ❤️
Thanks for this. I currently work in L&D training and always loved the area of psychology. Just recently realised psychotherapy is the area I want to study in as I always love helping people throughout my life. I will start studying part time while working full time.
I'm an "older" person thinking of going back to school to become a psychotherapist. I do have my BS in Psychology already, but getting a Masters seems like such a big undertaking. Thanks so much for breaking the process down; this is a great video and I love the way you present all this information! Xoxo
Thank you! Wishing you the best on whatever you decide.
So proud of you 😩💪🏾
💛💛☺
I’m here in my first year of my masters in marriage and family therapy! Thank you for making these videos they have helped me so much with so many questions ❤️
You’re welcome! I’m glad you’ve found them helpful! Wishing you the best on your journey 😊
Thanks so much the video! I'm thinking to become a psychotherapist and it's so hard to find information on this topic. Can't wait to see more informative videos!😊
You’re welcome ☺️
Currently doing an undergraduate degree in psychodynamic practice! Hoping to become a psychotherapist in the future :)
woot woot! you got this!
Nice to see a fellow Canadian therapist making videos! Definitely subscribing ☺
Heeeeyyy! Thanks for subscribing ☺️ Where in Canada do you offer therapy?
@@OhSoLimitless I practice in Ontario and New Brunswick virtually 😊
That’s awesome that you are able to cover 2 provinces!!
@@HelloBeatifulx3 finally found someone doing this in Ontario! I am thinking to start studying and becoming a psychotherapist, can you share some advice if possible? :) thx!
hi there! i’m currently in my second year of community college w my major as nursing but i’ve always felt that nursing wasn’t for me. i noticed however that i love psychology and i fell in love with it when i had to take PSY101 as a prereq for nursing. ever since then, i would do my own research about in the field which led more into mental health. it just hit me today that i would consider and i can see myself being a therapist helping people out and listening to them, but i wanted to know the route in order to get there. it seems like a lot im not going to lie, and i’m not sure how i’ll bring it up to my parents about me changing my career! but i can see myself doing it i’m 19 years old
hey having that conversation with your parents can definitely be tough so wishing you the best - i know a lot of therapists who were formerly nurses and having that degree can also inform your practice as a therapist. Here are the steps that I took to become a therapist: ua-cam.com/video/yWbKRgS2QCk/v-deo.html
I feel people do nursing is because of money so sad
Thankyou so much for this informative video.
What is the time limit within which an RP (Q) can sit for the exam ?
Question, I live in Colorado. I don’t see a school that offers psychotherapy program. Is there a specific route I need to look into? Thank you!
Hi!! this video was so useful, im just wondering what graduate university you chose? I'm really confused regarding what university's offer programs that will lead to a job as a psychotherapist in a private practice, even if you could share various options because after researching online and finding so many options and its a bit overwhelming and confusing to know which options are viable.
hi!! i am in undergrad right now trying to figure out the whole CRPO stuff, did you attend a recognized program by them or did you attend a non recognized program?
Thank you so much for the content! I have a question please. Is it doable to go for full time for the MED program you went to at UofT and work part time? or full time if you work weekends as well?
Heeeyyy, yes it is possible. I worked full time and completed the program full time- I switched from a 9-5 to a job that was flexible with its hours in order to both work and complete my masters full time.
@@OhSoLimitless This is AMAZING!! Thank you so much!
What did you get your masters in?
What was your full time job during school?
what postgraduate course did you take?
How can I contact you? I am a fellow psychotherapy student completing my practicum! ☺️
How to registered as a psychotherapist in Ontario when you've done Master's in Clinical Psychology from outside Canada. I did have my ECA report. If you can guide please
If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know which school you did your masters program in :))
I don’t mind at all- University of Toronto
what other types of work/volunteer experience do you recommend before grad school?
crisis lines are a great place to volunteer
Be ready to see me always in these comments lol. I’ve wrote down the steps in my state because IL is annoying. Did you work during grad school?
LOL i love seeing you in the comments girl! I did work full time throughout my grad program- it was stressful but fortunately I had a job that was flexible with my school hours
@@OhSoLimitless ooo wee! I tried that and I ended up burning myself out. Going the entrepreneur route this time!
Do you mind if i ask if you worked in the field or out?
@@viktoria8578 Hey Viktoria, if you are asking me...while in Grad school, i did not work in the field. Working outside of the field provided a nice break from learning about therapy and applying therapy in my practicum. First year i worked as a manager in retail and 2nd year, while doing my practicum, i took the entrepreneur route
@@OhSoLimitless what do you mean ? What service or product were you offering during grad school? Thank you!
For me I want to become a psychotherapist but not self employed what was your degree in?
Where are you from?
do you have a clinical supervisor?
Yes I talk about it often in my day in the life videos
Which school did u go to? Thx
She mentions it in the video. She went to University of Toronto. 🙂
