Gabriel, question for you please: Was part of the movie filmed there? (Trivia tidbit: The daughter of my parents' best friends married the film's editor, Richard Chew. My sister and I got free star wars tee shirts from him. It would have been such fun to have met George Lucas.)
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Huh! Is THAT right? Interesting! And thank you always for your replies to me. Too many folks are so rude here on YT. You, Jean Voronkova and Robe Trotting are some of the few people who care to reply to me, and that is nice of you. Maddie Gold and Tangerine Travels are other good people. But, by and large nice people out here seem to be few and far between.
Wondering if you can help me. Looking to take a round trip taxi from Kajuraho to Kalinjar fort. Can you tell me approximately what you paid and if possible the name of the taxi company. Thanks in advance!
@@Dr.Mzungu I don't remember exactly, maybe around $50 for a taxi from Khajuraho to Chitrakoot one way. I think I mentioned the price in this video: ua-cam.com/video/R7KD4p_j2iQ/v-deo.html It wasn't with a taxi company but with a local person who I found through my hotel. So you can just ask at your hotel and they should be able to arrange something.
Gabriel I just love your travels but it's more so the way you make them! Full of history.. scenery.. laughter....music...food oceans and creatures and culture! You show us things no one else has and that's why I am your # fan...enjoy your beers as you continue on your journey!
Welcome to Turkey, Gabriel. I think there are places in the Aegean region that you can like. Ephesus, Seljuk, Virgin Mary, Zeus temple (Bergama), Şirince village.... these are the ones that come to mind
Well you could have had us sitting there enjoying the view with you a bit longer! 😀 It's absolutely beautiful isn't it. Loving your travels, this would be one of my favourites. Enjoy. 🌄🙂
The views are amazing, I never seen such beauty before . You deserved your beer 🍺 at the end . Thank you Gabriel for taking us with you nearly everyday . It was awesome 👌.
I have watched so many videos of Cappadocia before and even from yours, but this time your choice of getting into unique spot from the other sections of Cappadocia really blows my mind.
Brother man you went back again! Yea Turkey is my favorite also. The vibe in those caves and the mystery and adventure in Cappadocia at every turn is amazing! Like a treasure for the senses at every turn.
The castle is extraordinary! The area looks like a different planet. I'm so glad you got into the amazing cave! The views are stunning! I would love to what life was like for those lived there.Thank you for bringing us here!! Love from Vermont
Thanks for showing that place, I didn't get there to see that spot. What I like about Turkey, is it seems to have some of the oldest dwellings for our earliest ancestors and we can enter them and explore and touch the past. Turkey is truly blessed promise land, for thousands of years.
Nice places. The word Marhaba is not actually Turkish but it is derived from the Assyrian phrase Mar Khobba (Mar Hobba) meaning The Lord is Love (God is Love) The Assyrians are the people of Assyria today known as Iraq under arab rule. The Turks learned the word while the Ottomans occupied Lebanon, Syria, Iraq for over 400 years.
Wow! What an epic ending Gabe! So fascinating. Places that this jump starts my imagination and it goes wild with who lived there, what were so many of the cubies for, and several separate areas within used for? Sleeping? Cooking? what was daily life like? Was there happiness and delight or just a very difficult life? Where did they get water, and food? Anyway.....thanks Gabe :)
Wowww what a nice very interesting and Magnifying amazing place of Cappadocia Turkey a lots of incredible historical ancient Caves, my dream travel destinations 😍 for this Wonderful place thank u so much sir Gabe for your wonderful walk around tour video Godbless from your solid fan viewer from the Philippines 🇵🇭 sir Marvin 😍👍🙂🙂🙂🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏
So unreal seeing; a) a Duvel in one of your video's (I see those bottles almost every day) b) in the caves of friggin' Cappadocia! Right on, man. Your vibe is an inspiration to many. But you need a lot more time in Belgium with your taste in beers 🤙
Although the cave homes look abandoned, many still have owners .....families that used them up to a few decades ago and now have houses in the town but still consider these caves theirs and may use them still for storage etc. There are at least several that are still lived in and it would not surprise me to see the younger generation return to them as well as the cost of living goes up in Turkey.
Gabe, excellent choice for a very exciting video. Rates at the top and I will have to go back and watch your previous ones from this area if there are any. I can see you living peacefully in one of those caves with solar panels and satellite internet! Very entertaining. One question tho , the government allows people to simply move into those caves and take over? This area should be off limits to vagrants and designated as a national park and protected. It is a shame if they let them get destroyed and filled with trash and cars etc.It is a national treasure for Turkey. I was appalled at the state of these dwellings and surroundings.Such a beautiful area.
Those pigeon holes you showed was the ancient internet I think. What would geniuses do back then without microchips, more than you can imagine. Noah used a pigeon so makes sense they used them in the region.
Thank you, Gabe! That place is so beautiful. By the way, the people who lived in the so-called Byzantine Empire called it the Roman Empire (or maybe Eastern Roman Empire.)
Felt so sad for the woman wearing the burka. How hot she must be as her husband dresses comfortably. I can see why this is your favorite place. Fascinating! You're most tenacious when you set out to do something. Very cool!
Hi Gabriel, someone with some real building skills can really build some incredible dwellings out of those caves. I know you stayed in a hotel some time back and it was spectacular. I think in the future you're going to see more of that each time you go out there. You know Gabe there's someone impersonating you on telegram claiming you won some prize sounds like a scam I didn't go for it.
Stone age city of skyscrapers! I sometimes wonder against sensibleness if, somehow, Cappadocia formed our ancestral prototype or psychic matrix for all cities. It's certainly old enough.

I'd say a rough estimate would be $2,000 USD/month, so that's $12,000 USD for six months. Just a rough guess, it could be less or more all depending on how you travel. But that's $65 a day which seems like a good average. India and Nepal will of course be cheaper than Greece and Turkey.

Loved it! Gorgeous views and awesome lighting. These cave homes are amazing. They remind me of the cave systems in Armenia. Or the other way around.
Awesome, Im heading down through the balkans and into Turkey soon. Got a flight to Uzbekistan in October from Istanbul.
Could those cut out sections be sleeping accommodations rather than burial recess?

Gabe you like the Greek history
😱👍🙌🙏😘Fantastic views
Did that lady explain to you why that cave was closed off? What was the reason? Was it the only one with no entry allowed?
She didn't speak any English. I think they probably closed it to stop tourists from exploring around where they lived.
I don't think there are other UA-camrs who would go to where Gabriel would
