I have dry skin, and this foundation is my boo thang. Lol. But I understand that everything doesn't work for everyone. For me, I use a really thick moisturizer day and night and exfoliate 2-3 times a week. It does like a little makeup-y for a little while when you first put it on, but as the day goes on, it will melt into your skin and even be slightly dewy. Any other dry girls that were on the fence, I hope this helps. ;)

I'm with you girl. I hate this foundation. Everyone is still loving it and I'm even oily and it looked like crap every which way I applied it. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one. Also I love that you showed us your real skin up close. I feel like no one on UA-cam does that they just hide behind their lights and fancy cameras and make us feel like we aren't as flawless as them even though I'm sure they are normal humans too. Xoxo

Oh my Dear Megan Mary, lol! this product should be marketed for oily/combo skin ONLY! Here is my experience with it, I love it BUT I have to prep my skin in a certain way before I use it. I have hormonal issues ( the perks of having ovaries lol) my skin is very combo in an extreme way, only my nose and under eye area are VERY oily, my four head and cheeks are normal, under my nose, chin and jaw line Extremely DRY so much that even when I exfoliate that area you can still see the dry patches. Ok so on my oily/combo areas this foundation is great on me, it last all day. It doesn't oxidizes it doesn't melt away or get runny and shiny witch are the main issues that oily skin have with some foundations. However on my dry skin Its the worst I have ever used. You can see my dry patches from a plane ok it makes them look worse. What I do is I moisturize well let is soak in them I put coconut oil on my exfoliated dry patches let that soak in well and then I put on the foundation. Thats how I make it work in my case. I will say I can not use the foundation and powder together because if I do there is no amount of coconut oil in the world that could hide these dry patches lol! the combo of the two are matte as F%ck( no joke). A tip for my darker skin sisters. If you can't find your shade at the stores go to there web site they have a wider selection there. But this foundation it's NOT for dry skin. This is the first video I saw of yours and you're adorable! I am so glad to see someone with fair skin do a review because I'm very pale also. I had this foundation in the same shade and the EXACT same thing happened. It emphasized my dry skin areas and when I switched to a different foundation it felt so much better. I really enjoyed this. Love that you put it to the test for the full 24 hours!! BUT this foundation is meant for OILY skin people.
Kudos to you for trying this out for a true 24 hours! I've always wanted to see someone on UA-cam do this. SO many UA-camrs raved about this on YT so I was anxious to try it. I hated it the first time I wore it but figured since my skin had been a bit dry with Winter that was why. I have given this foundation so many tries since and it really just doesn't impress me! I thought to myself what am I missing here? Is my skin not 'young' enough to love this (I'm 35). Do I need to use it with Infalliable powder as well? I have normal-combo skin but am usually a greasy mess by mid-Summer so perhaps I'll give it another go then. Thanks so much for doing this, you are a quite the trooper!
Best review over foundation I've ever seen! I like how you did a close up to actually show how it looks because from far away & the lighting looks as if it's not catching dry patches. And I have very bad dry random patches on my face and still can't find a good foundation & moisturiser for my complicated face

It is true that a foundation will work different for everyone, but it is made for oily skin so I would kinda expect it to cling to dry patches because it is a drugstore foundation
GIRL!!! I thought I was the ONLY one who didn't like it! It made my face look like it wasn't moisturized. When I applied my bronzer it literally rubbed off! I must not have great enough skin for it because I did not like it whatsoever! The color was perfect for me though! I need that yellow and it did look incredible color wise.
I know it's not my skin because I exfoliate and Moisturized like no one business! I'm going to give it one more try, but my first impression wasn't good. Lol!

So glad you took one for the team and wore it for 24 hours!! That is dedication :). I almost purchased it today because I had seen so many other you tube's recommend it but glad I changed my mind. I have very dry skin and know it will note work. I love the setting spray from the line and highly recommend. My favorite drugstore foundation right now is Loreal true match lumi. I set it with rimmel's stay matte sandstorm. I actually have been using it more than my Mac, smashbox or it. Maybe you can try it next.

I have dry skin and I really like this foundation. I put MAC Strobe Cream under it and spritz Fix+ over it before applying powder. (I do this with most foundations anyway).

I'm 23 and I'm STILL searching for a foundation that'll make me look flawless, and not cakey. I have VERY bad dry skin and flaky, plus acne. I try everything I can, I add oil on my face, I use two different moisturizers and a primer and a setting spray and I use a flat brush. Maybe the beauty blender helps? I also just bought this foundation but this video gave me no positive hope lol. I'll still try it since it was not so on the cheap end. Thanks for the video though! :)

Yeah so weird! I also heard a lot of ppl say how crazy matte it is but its like demi on me...Could be bc I use a REALLY heavy daytime moisturizer tho....

I am not at all interested in trying this foundation, anything that says "matte" just freaks me out because I am extremely dry. I feel like I have tried every foundation out there, hgh end and drugstore. I just picked up the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops and have been loving them, I've been mixing them with the Laura Mercier Hydrating primer and the Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation, which I love but doesn't give you good coverage. I think you need to try these drops, they are the bomb. thanks for sleeping in your makeup for us, haha!

Oh I just wanted to ask maybe you should try the Rimmel stay matte mouse liquid Its cheap and its matte I've heard a lot of good things about it
Thank you for this review it did the same for me the dry patches, the foundation stay dry my eye brows and around my nose it look so ugly! I was using the fit me foundation and I feel like that one was better then this for me personally and I wanna try the glow one to see if it does the same !
It would be good on someone who doesn't have very dry skin,or if you use a good moisturizer and primer,plus no one wears their foundation to bed,over all i think it's a good foundation for the drug store.Thanks for doing the review.

I've watched other videos and a few people have been broken out by it as well! Kinda random..
I know this reply is super late, but I find will this foundation you really need to use a good makeup remover to take it off completely, or you will break out. I use micellar water to remove most of it, and then I double wash with a makeup removing face wash to make sure every last bit gets off. I follow up with some witch hazel to make sure everything is completely removed from my face.
I really thought this foundation was horrible. My face looked like I had started my base for a zombie look. Hey, I should have done a tutorial for that. lol

At first I was in love with this foundation, but then I experience the exact same thing as you show in this video. The texture is not smooth, it's cakey and very noticeable. I hate this effect, and I don't have dry skin at all. Even my complexion sponge doesn't make this foundation work. Very disappointed that it didn't work for me... :(

I have normal to dry skin and this foundation did not work for me at all. It seems like it would work better for normal to oily skin. I wanted to love it but I didn't like it:(

I honestly don't think this foundation is designed for dry skin people. I have very oily skin and this foundation is my new holy grail. It kept me matte all day and my skin looks like fucking porcelain when I wear it. I'd say if you're dry, stay far away from it.

How's mac studio for lasting power I have smashbox and it does last me but only like 9 hours I have like normal skin just dry like on the sides of my nose and forehead sometimes , I got the kat von d setting spray today hopefully it helps if not I want to see if mac would work better for me :)) love your vids

Megan McTaggart so I haven't tried the mac yet but I finally got to test out the kat von d spray with the smashbox and oh my gosh it's a miracle I put my makeup on for work like at 5am and i left it on till 7pm and the stuff made my makeup stay in place and my elf blush was still on that's what showed me it lasts I got a little oil on my nose like at 6pm but other than that it lasted perfectly you should definitely get a sample of it in sephora or see if they can spray it on you and see how long it lasts through the day, I'm thinking about trying that powder for my nose I bet that with the spray will be HG lol

+Amina Sometimes! I love a matte finish, but some matte products can be too drying and make your skin look even more dehydrated. When using a matte product it's important to moisturize beforehand and figure out which formulas work for you ;)

I didn't like it and returned it. It looked like I had makeup on, even though I put on a light layer, and I felt like it emphasized any and every imperfection. I noticed that a lot of you tubers really like it, but it didn't work for me.
