- Located in Caswell Co., near Yanceyville on the Caswell game lands, the range holds a 100-yard rifle range with 5 covered shooting stations, a 25-yard pistol range also with 5 covered shooting stations, and a roaming archery course with 10 separate 3-D targets. Awesome ("OFS") place. Great job, Caswell County and N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission! I've been hooked up since my friends "down the road" introduced me to it. Already good from the start, it just keeps getting better. RSO Barry C. is doing fantastic job!
Overall about the place: safe, clean, impeccably maintained (and keeps getting better), a true family retreat for a 2A enthusiasts. Not exactly a "neighbor" myself, I've encountered individuals and families driving hours just to spend a quality time there. Are there places closer? Sure. But there's a magic about the Caswell Shooting Range that makes you come and stay. Thanks, Caswell Co (who started it all), N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission (who made it better), and RSO Barry C. (who makes us feel as a part of the family). Let's keep going!
