    Hi Jenny!
    I'm Giulia an Italian MD who recently graduated and entered the family medicine specialization.
    I am here to ask if you have any useful resource that may help with differential diagnoses about basic skin/derm issues who are often reported by patients in a family medicine ambulatory.
    Hope my english isn't so bad!
    Thanks a lot for your precious work on web, I follow your pathway through medicine since we both were in med school and you have inspired my choices many times.
    💜💜

    Jenny i want to ask you a question. My mother is in her 70s and is type 2 diabetic and this week we thought she had a cold but it turns out she has pneumonia. She currently is at the hospital receiving antibiotics. We are truly worried. Can you please tell us if the antibiotics usually help heal her or will this take time? We are all un awe of how this could have happened but if you could shed some light for us please? Thank you.

    Do you have any recommendations w/ bloating due to IBS. My IBS doesn’t have any patterns it’s random and more so stress induced.
    Also do you have recommendations how you do this with your lifestyle? I’m pre-med. My physical therapist was telling me how his entire schooling was a sacrifice because he never had time for his body until he was finished. I feel like even a little is enough.
    I’m finishing my undergrad this week! So this summer I really want to start something new:)

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  2 роки тому +2

      I went to the gym regularly while in med school. You’ll make time for the things you care about.
      IBS can be exacerbated by stressed. I usually recommend the low FODMAP diet if you haven’t tried it yet.

    Hi Jenny, I found you on tictok. I guess I'd always had a belly even when I was 105lbs back in HS. With years and pregnancies my belly got bigger to the point I look preggo. When I try to lose weight or exercise it looks bigger, one time I went to the ER and some doctor told me I have a hernia. He said it can only be fixed with surgery. I didn't look Into it anymore but now that I'm more interested in my health, I'm wondering if I should look into it or just keep exercising and see if I lose the belly. I love your content and hopefully you could guide me.

      Usually an umbilical hernia or inguinal hernia is fairly prominent and not diffuse over your whole lower abdomen. That lower tissue is most affected by hormones And genetics. Some people just have more bloating than others. I will try to increase your favor as much as you can, this can help.
