I wonder if it'd react if you'd have ground both reagents down to a fine powder. A fine grain size can increase reaction speed and energy released to an astonishing degree. I’m order to make something explode (most explosives) you need heat, and pressure, a really good example is c4. You can rip 1000 bullets into the c4 and it won’t explode, it’ll just tear apart
Temperature is mostly irrelevant, you need the step-front shock wave to trigger the reaction, Also, even sensitized by Al powder, AN has a critical diameter needed to detonate. A few prills on a press wont ever do anything
Wondered that myself. If he were to use a cylinder packed with the stuff and tried to press it, would the stuff detonate? Or, does it need a rapid impact + pressure to detonate? There's also another form of tannerite, forget what it's made of, that you can detonate with 22LR ammo. Don't think it's similar to snap pops, but could be wrong.
@@amanawolf9166 Theoretically if you could generate enough pressure, it's possible although unlikely in this formulation. Also, the line between the legal use of explosives as a hobby and federal prison time is a thin one. I'd recommend against containing explosives in any type of cylinder, especially the metallic variety.
tannerite is really fun to mess around with while shooting just remember its an explosive dont end up like that lawnmower guy who got too close and had his leg chopped off
Pressure is often both? Smaller volume with the same amount of heat means more heat per unit of volume. Decompressing gas makes gas bottles cold because increasing volume with only a certain amount of heat but dispersed over a wider area
It's also possible that the sample wasn't mixed very well. If you repeat this experiment, consider mixing your batch together that you intend to shoot and then taking your sample for testing from that larger batch.
Tannerite doesn't explode based on pressure, but speed of application. It has to be hit by something moving as fast as a rifle round. Just squishing it slowly isn't the same thing, since the parts aren't forced into each other fast enough to cause the explosion.
Tannerite will only detonate under intense shock in a small surface area. However, ANY projectile moving 2000fps or faster can trigger it, including an airgun pelled driven with a nailgun blank

Glad to see this is a gun friendly channel. Now i like it even better
We finally found what's inside the video game barrels
I’m order to make something explode (most explosives) you need heat, and pressure, a really good example is c4. You can rip 1000 bullets into the c4 and it won’t explode, it’ll just tear apart
Action Lab Shorts puts an MJF theme in his vid. I hope he watches AEW.
He's better than us and we know it
Glad I'm not the only one that caught that.
omg MJF is such a heel, did you see his lavender gear?! WHAT A DIRTY DIDDLER (in the Cultaholic Podcast sense of the term)
@@randomuploaderguy haha, check out his interaction with Danhausen here on UA-cam. Good stuff.
I heard that immediately, caused me to watch more than once
I knew I wasn't going crazy! I can hear AEW's MJF's theme in the middle of the short!
What’s an AEW and MJF?
“Don’t crush tannerite in a hydraulic press because nothing will happen.”
Its not the pressure that makes it go boom, but the sudden smacking of the bullet hitting
“Dont try this at home”
Like ye i was gonna shoot a microwave full of tannerite today😂
Just casually using MJF's theme ❤
Why is the microwave always the go to thing to put explosives in lol
“Don’t try this at home”
My brain: do this
“Don’t crush Tannerite in a hydraulic press”
well there go my weekend plans I guess
Sheer velocity and mass is what it takes. It's impact sensitive.
If MJF theme in background it means something bad is about to happen for sure
tannerite is really fun to mess around with while shooting just remember its an explosive dont end up like that lawnmower guy who got too close and had his leg chopped off
Or the dude that nearly got his head taken off by a fridge door. LOL
Can I hear my boy MJF'S theme in the background?
I thought I had another clip open or something lmao
Pressure is often both?
Smaller volume with the same amount of heat means more heat per unit of volume.
Decompressing gas makes gas bottles cold because increasing volume with only a certain amount of heat but dispersed over a wider area
“when you mix them together and shoot them” sounds like a speedball 😅
It's also possible that the sample wasn't mixed very well. If you repeat this experiment, consider mixing your batch together that you intend to shoot and then taking your sample for testing from that larger batch.
Tannerite doesn't explode based on pressure, but speed of application. It has to be hit by something moving as fast as a rifle round. Just squishing it slowly isn't the same thing, since the parts aren't forced into each other fast enough to cause the explosion.
•I don't have tannerite
•I don't have hydrolic press
I only lack the hydraulic press
FBI: "so your basically showing people how to make an exposive?"
Both parts come packaged together, the instructions are on on the container, you can buy them at Walmart
‘Murcia.
It should be noted that the velocity of the bullet is what influences how big the explosion is, not the caliber or force of impact
Noticed while you were shooting you used MJF's theme song. Nice!
"so you discovered this right?"
"Yeah"
"What's your name?"
"Tanner ight"
"Oh shit man, good idea"
Are you a dad?
@@ashjose7973 nah man, I'm 15 :/
@@XentralMemes that sounded like a dad joke that's why
@@ashjose7973 oh lmao
Fellow GD player
"Don't Crush Tannerite In a Hydraulic Press"
*Shows that nothing happens when u do it*
Don't do it because their are better ways to use tannerite
@@chadam917 That's a very empty-handed answer. U can say that for almost anything else lol.
@@dylanloo9856 "don't crush tannerite in a hydraulic press because it's boring and nothing happens" do you like that answer better?
@@chadam917 Slightly better, but still nothing interesting enough to make it worthy of being in the video title.
Tannerite will only detonate under intense shock in a small surface area. However, ANY projectile moving 2000fps or faster can trigger it, including an airgun pelled driven with a nailgun blank
