- Hello friend! Welcome/welcome back to our channel! I really appreciate you clicking into this video because if you're a fan of SYSC and Connie Sgarbossa, then you're in for a treat. There are several kick ass interviews with Connie out right now (like the Punk Rock MBA and Lambgoat). I recommend you checking those out (after this one of course :P). I tried really hard to come up with new questions and go through the history of Connie's musical career up to this point to differentiate this interview from the previous ones. There is some deep cut information that I think you would be excited to hear about! We talk about several of Connie's earlier bands such as Avari, Flowers Taped To Pens, Meryl Streaker, René Descartes. We also chat about her record label, Structures//Agony Records, that she ran out of her apartment's living room. We went deep into why she thinks it's crucial for bands to focus on their branding when releasing a new project. Lastly, we chat about the new music SeeYouSpaceCowboy has been working during quarantine. So sit back, put on your white belt, grab a setzy, and prepare to get sassy!
PS - I had trouble exporting this video through zoom. Any help would be appreciated. This is all done DIY so go easy on me and enjoy the content for what it is!

Dude you are a great interviewer. Your energy in in-depth questions that are different from other interviewers is a breath of fresh air. You ever listen to The Callous Daoboys? Would love to see an interview with their front man, feel like you could make it really special.
Hey Sterling,
I really appreciate you saying that. I really do take pride in my interviews. I spend a lot of time researching and prepping each episode. I think it’s what separates me from other channels. I know it usually takes a while for me to put out a new episode but that’s because I go full in depth into the discographies, band archives, and listen to every interview they have previously done so I’m not asking the same questions.
I love the callous daoboys. They are def on my list for future episodes! Thanks for the recommendation!
For future episodes you can expect:
Sam, Andrew, Robbie, Chris - Bone Cutter
Jake & Joe - Duck Duck Goose
Matt & Audelio - Set Your Goals
Marky Capicotto - Glamour Kills (Who Wants To Be A Scene Kid)
Stephen - Madison
She's so chill and down to earth🖤 no wonder why I fucking LOVE SYSCB!!💀 Great interview!
Connie talking about absurdism/metaphysics & supporting the proletariat>>>

what an amazing laid back interview! much love sysc
I can remember being maybe 14 going on last FM to download free screamo music and listening to flowers taped to pens. Insane how everything comes full circle
A good buddy of mine has on occasion gone to a bad/club and immediately started moshing like he was at a hardcore show. Usually got kicked out for the night but the look on peoples faces when their Rhianna was interrupted was priceless
Love this man. Love this band. Love this genre. Love this scene.
Imagine being that pretty
Great interviewer!!! Can tell you make the artist very comfortable and don't ask the SAME questions that everyone else asks!!! (Plus Connie got HELLA killer taste!!! Heard she loves my dude Aesop Rock, digs Massive Attack, Trip Hop as a whole (can't wait to hear that interlude!!!) And love their OG shit, but can't listen to Misinterpreting Constellations enough!!! Fucking incredible!!!!)
I love SeeYouSpaceCowboy!!
Great interview dewd! 🤙
I love connieeeew
See You Next Tuesday had some of the best song titles lol, wonder if they were an influence. good interview dude cant wait for their next album
Parasite definitely has some funny song titles 😂 I can’t wait for the next album too. They def have some good shit up their sleeve! Appreciate the love!
You will prob be into my one video I did “who wants to be a scene kid with nik Velleca of wax vessel.” Lots of good MySpace deathcore trivia in there!
@@toallthecrowdedrooms283 was just about to check that out after this one! binging these videos as we speak haha, got a new sub man
@@nayru1855 Yeo I appreciate that so much! 🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕 I’m working really hard this month. I got a couple really good ones in the bag atm just need to edit them down!
@@toallthecrowdedrooms283 i gotchu dude 🖤 so hype for the new ish you got coming. also i wanted to give a music rec based on this video. you might know em but Nayru were another sick screamo band based in SD, they had a split with meryl streaker and their 2 albums are amazing, you might like em.
@@nayru1855 never heard of them! I’ll def give them a listen!!
you deserve way more subzz
you're such a great interviewer, keep it up! super chill
thank you so much! 🥰 im interviewing a legacy band tonight i think you will be into! 👀
@@toallthecrowdedrooms283 cant wait!]
1:08 I've been listening to nothing but The Romance of Affliction, and Mezzanine by Massive Attack recently, I feel attacked.
Can't help but wonder if Connie's take on Communism has changed after reading Parenti.
omg follow your heart parm exactly
The whole "sasscore" thing...would iwrestledabearonce fall under that genre?
Listen to connie’s vocals in the first thirty seconds of modernizing the myth. Those weird cleans are what makes it sassy. Blood brothers do it all over their music. I wouldn’t consider iwrestledabearonce sasscore.
I’m a little shocked you didn’t know of triphop prior to this interview.
Great interview
1:35:53 - reminds of how slugchrist was in feeding the foxes and an isle ate her
I thought sasscore was sasquatch-core ._.
So is trip hop just lofi music
Kids now mosh like cowards. I saw a girl get hit at a show, it wasn’t cool.
It’s a dude
Nah
Yeah
Nah, that's a chick. Cry harder.
@@phantomtearsca OMG IM SORRY I MEANT TO SEND THAT REPLY TO THE OTHER GUY.
I’ve been up a long time lol.
Woah was not expecting this today but I'm excited!
enjoy it! this has been my favorite interview to date!
