This is THEE first drink Champs that I watched from beginning to end and drank right along with them. I've been a fan of Skillz since from where??? Loved his stories and I felt like I was on the journey with him. Salute
"...I'll bust a sign language freestyle "-Mad Skillz
That bar should be in the bar hall of fame
The Run and X story was amazing. Going down in classic Drink Champs history. Salute to Nore & EFN for having a dope show 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Why was I clapping after the DMX story. This is one of the BEST episodes surprisingly!
The amount of GREAT stories in this interview are ridiculous!!! This should have been a 2-parter for sure.
Top 5 interview hands down, Skillz was so real with it.
Mad Skillz is a gem. Great episode -- all love and history. VA stand up!
Simon Says stand the funk up!!!😁
💯💯💯💯
This episode is the whole meaning of the show in its purest essence!!! So much street spirit in the convo!

He’s probably one of my favorite guest on this show
One of the DOPEST Drink Champs interviews Ever!
Im so happy that i got to see the interview with DMX before he left this earth i thank you for that Nore
Right I felt the same way like the first one wasn’t that good but it’s sad cause x looked good healthy and all that in the second one it’s so sad but I felt the same thing u said thank u nore and efn
Maaaaaan, I was at that same Jack The Rapper Convention. Me and the group I was producing at the time ended up doing a showcase for Teddy Riley in his freaking suite in the Marriott Marquis (hotel with the tree in the lobby), room 4206. I'll never forget the golden era of hip hop. Thanks Drink Champs for helping me relive my memories vicariously through y'all.
AWESOME memory U have recalling the room #!!!
@@qwammienewsome1357 I don't think anyone would ever forget performing for Teddy Riley and Wrexx n Effect.
Ahh yeah I remember being surrounded by Wu Tang at Jack the rapper outside the Marquis
Met Skillz one time when he was on tour with the Roots. Chopped it up for a second, cool dude
Real cool dude!!
One of, if not THE, BEST episodes EVER... Hands down. Skills is a phenomenal story-teller, plus NORE got everyone bent, instant classic podcast!

We Have to Salute the Writers..those Quiet Storms in Hip Hop!!!
MAD Skillz is 1
This is mos definitely one of the dopest episodes by far. Drink Champs is the illest.
Im glad I watched this, Mad Skillz is an artist I only know by name. This interview was great.
*That Rev Run at the Super Bowl story was gut wrenching!*
Broke my heart. Never meet your heroes.
This show was so fucking ill. The connections and shit Skillz said this is probably top 5 drink champs. Incredible jewels he dropped and stories. Nore and Effn were like kids of hiphop the whole time. Nore wasn't drunk for the first time in awhile not interrupting I think the only show he didn't interrupt and apologized and let Skillz speak. I watched all 3 hours non stop. Fire! I still want to know who he ghostwrote for. I know he wrote for puffy and many others hits.
Great interview! Skillz needed his roses on a platform thats for the culture...R.I.P to the "Superhero" "X"
I remember that Dilla beat tape Skills is talking about at 1:30:00. I was there when those beats were made. Big Proof did the first Drop and T3 looped Runnin’ up first. Good times in Detroit hip hop!
Salute Mudd

Another classic episode. The Run story and call Jazzy Jeff was the icing on the cake 🎂
I lived in Hampton when Skillz came out. I was proud for him and all of VA.
Hampton/Newport News here!!
VA legend in the building. I remember meeting Skillz at the Budda Bros radio show 17 years ago. I was a young producer shopping my beats around and he showed mad love.
@Marlo Jackson ni99a pls...that question is disrespectful...murda can't hold a candle
@Marlo Jackson i mean he got a right to be salty...I dont think murda wack...but skills can rap rap...and he did body murda with the dis track...but I get what u saying tho
@Marlo Jackson doesn’t add up…if he’s one dimensional how can he write for so many artists in so many genres? There’s plenty you’ve heard that ain’t rap that he wrote but you’d never know it
Buuu-daaaaah!!!
listening to our headphones, That 03 wrap up had the whole jail dorm laughing with the last line... The guard came running in like the movie LIFE threatening to take the tv. Thanks for bringing light to the darkness.
Kind of crazy that this episode was recorded before X passed away and Skilz eneded with a X story. X WILL always be loved by all
Drink Champs is about to start collecting X stories like they used to ask everybody about Prince back in the day.
Has been and always will ✊🏿
Hampton Roads stand up!! 757 North King st Hampton Virginia my heart is still with you 💪
VA representing. One of the best shows to date.
Mad Skillz is very talented. Respect for this.
Salute and Love from CHICAGO to Mad Skillz and Drink Champs.. For the Hip Hop Culture. Skillz has written some Classics For People
Aight. The people have spoken and everyone is on the same page about top 10! Any chance this is top 5 cuz of the real stories????? #letmeknow
Big up the homie Skillz for always reppin VA & HIP-HOP the right way! I remember when I first met Skillz at VCU. Skillz was the first person to tell Me about Jay Dilla before he was known worldwide. I also remember Skillz playing the Jay Dilla beat tape with “Running” and “Drop” in my GRC dorm room at VCU during a freestyle session with Bee, Kalonji, Chad & Me! Respect Nore & DJ EFN for interviewing VA Legend Skillz💯🎤🎧
