Norway has the most amazingly talented singers. There really has to be something in the water. lol
Why is their voices much better than the voice America
Autotune and digital enhancement. The quality usually drop when they go to live performance. Besides that i think Norwegian singers sound better because they are more pure and honest, compared to american singers who are very schooled, not personal, mostly focused on power

I went and listened to all that went through, and none of them are as good as Jiah's voice. It seems so unfair. The show is called "The Voice" - and hers is magical. Her tone, her vibrato, the whole thing - a beautiful voice - she should have gone on.

If this was a concert, Jiah would definitely be the headline artist. This was INSANE! I cannot fathom how she’s not through to the live shows!

She actually went out thjs round. Espen paired her up with Inger Lise who is one of the best. He did a mistake and could have saved both by pairing them up with others.

Ja! For øvrig syns jeg ikke at det er særlig smart at det kun er mentorene som bestemmer hvem som kommer seg til direktesendingene. Det virker som om de på forhånd har favoritter så uansett hvor godt de andre synger, så kommer de ingen vei.

They really need to change the format for knockout stages. I get that they don't want the knockouts to be obvious by putting a great and decent singer together, but not having Jiah get through to live, because you pair two potential winners together is ruining the overall experience for me once again. Same happened several times last season, and while its a bit subjective at times, I feel they need to change the knockout format. Inger Lise totally deserved to go through, but so did Jiah.

I wish the coaches had at least one steal available for this round too
My suggestion was that in the knock out rounds, they could let all the 8 contestants on each team perform the same evening and the mentor could chose two people to go through and the people should chose two people to go through. These duels is hopeless and as you said, every year some of the best is left out this round and wont even get the chamce to sing in the live andd thats not right when its about the best voice, not the best team. Teams are uneven too.. Either that or the viewers should be able to vote back 2 or 4 contestants from the knockout to sing in the live rounds on an online poll or something. Mentors have way too much power before the live show starts so that us viewers get robbed of some of the best ones and have no say in it…. Last week Andreas, Kristina and Sigrid got eliminated and all of them are better than a lot pf the others that went through and I am pretty sure the viewers wouldnt let them get eliminated.
I hope they will listen.

My first thought when Jiah and Inger Lise were facing off is "whoever advance from KO round, will be the winner of this year’s The Voice"!
Woow.. those 2 should've/would've/could've been the finalists in this year’s The Voice! Why Espen decided to face off those two, is a BIG mystery. He could have had both through the KO round and have 2 powerhouses in the finals/live.
SURE WIN for Espen anyway.
For me, Jiah won this KO round (and best performer of this episode, IMO.
she performed with emotion, wicked sick vibrato and how she expressed the song was phenomenal. What a great frickin’ voice!!
But either way Team Espen will be the winner amongst the mentors.
Anywho, congratulations to Inger Lise🥳 I think she will be the one winning it this year. And to Jiah; I won’t even be worried about it. You showed and proved that you belong in the music industry. So keep on singing🤙🫶
She is great. Better than her influence that I believe is Angelica Hale, another power house belter that is very popular in US and Philippines, but for me they lack debth and variety. Great singers, but there are so many like them that it is difficult to stand out. And even if they are good all round performances, it gets kind of boring for me. But Jiah has potential, if she dares explore other directions and approaches to singing and interpreting songs.

@@rigobertoalfonso6829 I hadn't heard that before, but checked it out. Maybe a bit, but he does even more vocal gymnastics to impress, and some people like that. I can be impressed by vocal gymnastics as well, but I think it makes less impact when over done, and then it ends up taking away meaning in the lyrics, and the you are left with a more flat impression of the over all performance despite the impressive vocal register and technique.

When I saw that Jiah was against Inger Lisa I thought to myself "If anyone can beat Inger Lise it had to be Jiah"
She is amazing. Sad Espen put them together but nothing we can do about it. She did an amazing performance and lost to the person that might just win the entire contest, so it should not be a loss to Jiah. She did an amazing job.

Obviously their comments are unified ... Espen is an idiot for facing off two potential finalists. Choosing Espen coach was the most unfortunate devpcision for Jiah. Wait ... even Ina aka the male worshipping judge is also an a-hole. Time to Replace coaches. The current 4 have became boring and repetitive.

no because its the way this made me cry right away, whereas the only emotion inger lise is able to make me feel is boredom. being a good singer is one thing, but being able to make others FEEL real and deep emotions, well that is another level. might be her Norwegian coldness, might just be her competitive inner voice. but what's clear is that jiah should've won.

Both are really good. Inger Lise is world class, every time. The real issue is that they got paired together. Both should have went through.

I didnt project my opinion onto others, BUT I would say thats exactly what the original poster did, so its kind of funny and ironic that you are attacking me for doing that when I only spoke about how her voice made ME feel. She claims the only emotion Inger Lise make you feel is boredom and that she isnt able to make others feel real deep emotions. How does she know how others feel? I said, she definately is able to make people feel (and thats also probably why Inger Lise is through and a lot of people loves her and her voice). ..

Im soo tired of espen doing the same mistakes every year by putting his best two against each other he never learns
Espen isnt the worst. Ina and Yosef are worse. This episode Espen made two mistakes though. Inger Lise vs Jiah and Even vs Lisbeth. All 4 of them should have been through. Espen also did a mistake to pair Emma vs Alessandra a couple of seasons ago. I wish team members wouldnt go up against eachother in the knockouts, only in the battle (when thementors can steal). Some years ago it was even worse when we could only vote for a winner n duels set by the mentors also in the live show (thankfully they have changed it now, att least last season), so the viewers vote for the best ones regardless of teams.
Yet again the mentors fail terribly when they put the pairings together. Espen (and Ina) was bad this episode. Jiah was one of the best on his team (besides Inger Lise, Lisbeth and Even), so why set her up against THE best, Inger Lise? He could have put Jiah up against Marthe, Julian, Rebecca or Herman? I dont get it. Why put those two up against eachother??
And also, the pther mistake Espen did was to put Lisbeth and Even up against eachother (two other favorites) He should have put Even against Julian and Lisbeth against Marthe. He really did two horrible desicions in the pairings this knockout. He could have had 4 strong singers in the live, now he lost two really good ones because of stupidity.

Ex pro? Some contestants have never stood on a stage, some sing as a hobby and some needs a lift or help in their career. Inger Lise is doimg events and has been performing at dinner events, weddings, funerals etc and also in local musicals and she has realesed songs, but so has other contestants….
Jiah has performed on several stages, contests and musicals. She has shared the stage with Trond Viggo Torgersen, performed infront of The King, Nelson Mandela, The Crown Prince and Princess , "Grease" the musical, where she played the leading role.
Jiah also participated as a contestant for "Idol" - Norway in 2014. She has been singing simce she was 4.

I actually prefer the sound of her voice compared to the winner. It seems it is a foregone conclusion that Inger Lise is the winner and I don’t like any of the songs she has sung.

It is not about liking the voice but the artist level of delivery. The music is all about expressing trough vocal mastering. Inger Lise is not just vocal monster but extremely lyric and emotional singer.

You are very wrong. Inger Lise doesnt sing with force or false. As her mentor said, Inger Lise has proven that she is an incredibly good singer and has a powerful voice, but I also think it is important that she shows that she can master the art of restraint. Dare to hold back a little and sing softly and focus on delivering the lyrics. It is actually more difficult to sing down/soft, than to give in and sing with power.
Much preferred Jiah's performance to Inger Lise's but I think the choice was made before the start of the show.

Jiah's performance is much better than Inger Lise ( for me..) and i also think that the choice was made before the battle because i think they already know that Jiah was pregnant beforehand..
The 1st minute is amazing then she loses the voice control cause she wrongs the breathing so she starts to wrong but she is phenomenal compared to the others karaoke singers of this show, cause she is the one who did less mistakes in a difficult song to sing.
