I moved to Las Vegas in January 1983 when I was 21 and an innocent gay boy and one of the first things I did was see a double feature of Sophie's Choice and Frances. Talk about a depressing afternoon, but I loved it! Then it turned out that the manager of the movie theater lived across the hall from me and become my first boyfriend. So as strange as it sounds, both of these movies have a special place in my heart. Also I saw Come and Get It on TCM a few years ago and Jessica Lange really looks like Frances Farmer.
J-Lo should have been nice to those beneath her and allow them to look at her in the eyes. The regular folks are the ones who pay to go see her movies and concerts and she treats them like shit. Look now, she didn't want them to look at her, well they didn’t look at her or her concert tickets 😂. Karma is real and she came for Jenny from the block!
J.Lo did start out as a dancer in IN LIVING COLOR...
Oh and her mom won $2.4 million at the casino. lol
Kids crying on planes is often from their ears hurting. They don’t know how to relieve the discomfort by yawning. I am OK with the crying because young humans are difficult to raise. It requires patience.

Hello both! I hope this finds you well. I am really enjoying listening to the deeper layers you peek into in regards to the socio-political aspects within the material of your conversation and the beautiful style in which you both listen to and cajole one another into completing your thought processes. Wonderful to listen to. I watched Frances as a child and it had a heavy impact on me as my grandmother was held in a psychiatric hospital for many years during the 1960s in London; a rebellion against domestic abuse that broke her patience (peace). Thank you.

I really enjoyed this movie. I came across it during a transitional point in my life. We've become more understandable towards mental health these days, which is a major positive. It's terrifying that so many people were locked away and abused for minor things such as 'being difficult.' Look up the story of Nellie Bly. A journalist who infiltrated an asylum for a story of mistreatment and ended up being a patient there.
I give Frances a 4 out of 5….. Jessica Lange is so damned beautiful!!!♥️

I feel the same way about J. Lo. She has all these resources, connections, experience, capability to do good things. And yet, she releases crap on a consistent basis. I don't get it.
