My Nissan 300ZX Is A Total Fraud And I Couldn’t Care Less

- Today we're introducing my 1996 Nissan 300ZX to the channel. Had to pick it up from the shop after having some work done, so I thought I would shoot a short video on this often overlooked JDM icon from the mid 90s, especially compared to its much more hyped GT-R, RX-7 and Supra brethren. Sadly, my particular 300ZX is even less desirable given its NOT a twin turbo and has an automatic transmission. And I honestly could care less.
90% of my cars are manuals and honestly, sometimes its just a relief to hop in the car and go without having to shift yourself. I didn't buy this car on accident or couldn't get the "real" 300ZX I was after. I knew I wanted backseats for my kiddos and wanted a fun little sports car I could zip around town in and provide decent reliability. And my 1996 Nissan 300ZX has been all those things so far. Let me know your thoughts on this car and whether you think the NA version or even one with gasp an automatic is worth having around. Cheers!
Hi, nice car! Here in Germany, we could officially get only the 2+2 seats turbo version, so the NA and/or 2+0 are very rare here.

car is in excellent condition! nice Z brother! only thing i see wrong is that the front left and rear right wheels have been flopped. the z32 wheels are directional. they are designed like and opperate as fan blades that draw the hot ari out and away from the rotors, if wheels on wrong side of the car it runs in reverse, which tries to push air into the hweel wells which is against the natural flow of air, which means that particular wheel well and rotor is going to run hotter then it should. and the z32 being a heavy car is already notorious for brake fade.

For cars not commonly on the road.... would you consider getting a Fisker? A lot say it's a heartless car since it's electric. Your thoughts?
Thanks for the comment my friend. Honestly I don’t know enough about Fisker but I’ve seen a few on the road and was intrigued from an aesthetic standpoint. 🤔
to me it's all about the standard look of a z32 300zx that's the best thing about these cars not everyone needs a fast TT that smokes the tyres and drag racing on the streets looking for a fine and end up with a modified defect notice from the cops. just a nice set of legal wheels is all they need. plus there should be a rule that you need to be over 32 yrs old to own a Z32 so you don't destroy it's beauty and #uck it all up with bolts on's and bolt in foreign engines etc. then they think is worth 30-40k lol. when our stock original low mile one's can fetch more than the modified ones. i have owned my black JDM z32 2.0 NA 5sp for 21 yrs now and still never wanted to sell it even after all these yrs. with only 130,000 ks on it.

the na 300zx is not a fraud or lessr car than the twin turbo lol its still the same car. that would be like calling the supra na a fraud, doesnt make any sense as its still the same car just not turbocharged.
I totally agree. The “fraud” is a bit much as I did disclose at the beginning of the video but I meant more in terms of enthusiasts “expectations” when you tell them you have a 300zx and they open the door and see the missing 3rd peddle or “missing” turbo 😁 I literally have seen peoples jaws kinda drop like “what have you done….” Appreciate the view and comment 🙏
@@lifeofbriantx I think it's more of an automatic vs manual thing you're facing. The automatic transmissions for Z32s are used in drag racing. Theyre known to be quite capable but obviously everyone will prefer a manual over an automatic especially if it's a 90s car. I have a non turbo manual and I've gotten nothing but positive feedback. I'm about to single turbo it with the new Merlin machining kit.
@@KingKhan-ez3ggnice! I’ve almost pulled the trigger several times to “upgrade” to a 5sp 300zx…I think that’s the itch I may have to scratch but it’s so dang nice not having to shift all the time. 😂
