I remember that I also used to play this tune and loved it much. Long ago I even uploaded my version on my list where it still is. But your performance seems better, softer such as of so young girl has to be. Beautiful. My cincere congratiulations.
very nice! you really have it under control! The Krüger Brothers are brilliant guys! I was able to take part in a workshop last year from Jens .. I am also Swiss like him. A brilliant guy and one of the best banjo players! You have an Abo more :-)
@@jordanhunt6774 It actually crossed my mind that that’s what you may have done. Lol. I’m actually doing the same thing. Hopefully you don’t mind I’m using your rendition some to get a feel for it. You did a really good job! I’m impressed by your excellence on the banjo! Keep on picking!
What a fantastic job. I love the sound of your picking and the tone of your banjo. I can tell that you've put in the countless hours and that you enjoy playing this lovely song. Btw, what banjo are you using? It looks something like an old Alvarez I used to have.
Thank you! That banjo was a Johnson...Its okay for beginners, but I recently bought a Stelling Sunflower and that's what I'm using now. Thank you for watching!
This should have millions of views. Beautiful playing : -) I'm blown away. edit: How long have you been playing for? Do you play any other instruments? Do you know much music theory? I just started learning the banjo and this is really inspiring me. Best wishes,
Well thank you very much! I really appreciate you watching. I have been playing around 9 years. Banjo is my main instrument but I can play backup on guitar as well. I don't really know a ton about music theory, no 😊. Wow I'm so glad, thank you for your comment.
@@TheTinker6871 hmm I didn't even know that! I just watched a video of Jens playing it and it looked like he might be using double C tuning. I'm not positive though the video was extremely blurry... I honestly think it sounds just as good either way.
@@jordanhunt6774 that's impressive. I just found the tab to this last night and was comparing it to live recording to see how it matched up. I stumbled on a CD many years ago called Babjos That Destroyed The World. Corny name, but there are some great songs on that album that you may like. If you learned Up 18 North by ear, then these shouldn't be a problem for you. Limehouse Blues and Banjo Signal are a couple of my favorite on that album.
@@jordanhunt6774@MrPoorCat In all fairness to Wynn, Limehouse Blues and Banjo Signal are both Don Reno tunes, so if you're going to learn them you should probably go back to the source. Well, Reno didn't write Limehouse Blues, but he's where all the bluegrass people get it from.
Omg Jordan!!! Jens Kruger is one of the best banjo players in the world. This is incredible! Also one of my favorite songs 👏🏼

So freaking bad ass
This is certainly something I would like to learn. A great version, thank you!
It's a really fun song to play. Thank you for watching!
@@jordanhunt6774 Now I've learnt it (not quite fully) in double C tuning, it makes your version even more interesting!
This is fantastic. You nailed it.
what is the banjo tuned in? what key?
I love this melody!! I’ve been trying so hard to get the tabs for this. Where can I get them?
It's a fun one! So sorry but I learned it by ear...I watch the person play the tune section by section in slow motion to learn.

Outstanding! Tuning? I've got to learn this
Thank you! It's in C tuning (drop the fourth string down to C) :)
