Very informative, thanks Andrew. The smoking areas would be an issue for me, as I have lung issues, ironically cause from being exposed to second hand smoke for the first 20 years of my life. From what I understand MSC has always catered more to European passengers. And smoking is far more popular there than in the US. If MSC wants to grow its US market, I think that they will have to address this issue.
I think you hit the nail on the head, we love to see all the different cultures and languages spoken but yes smoking in other parts of the world is super common still. I will say it wasn’t as bad on the Seascape with smoking so it will be interesting to see on the Mergaviglia tomorrow when we leave. Thanks!
Great video! We love MSC! Have been sailing with them since 2016. Had our honeymoon on Divina! Love that ship! Fun fact, Mrs. Aponte has a huge hand in designing the ships and she finds urinals to be a vulgar thing. So, on Divina she managed to keep them off of the ship. But, her hand is all over the gorgeous ships in the fleet. Cheers!

@@funnelheads welcome! Yep, Mr. Aponte was a tug boat captain. Mrs Aponte encouraged him to get into shipping. So, with a 200,000 loan in 1970 they bought their first cargo ship. Later on they launched the cruise line. Recently they launched their air cargo company. They are the #1 shipping company in the world. Have the fastest growing cruise line. And, are worth 35 billion dollars together. Incredible couple!
great video! just booked royal caribbean utopia of the seas cruise for next month as a first time cruise ever but seeing some ships like the divina from MSC looks more affordable and my style as well! I'm from Florida so I might take this cruise on a 3 day weekend soon and your video helped a lot! glad you had fun and seems like you have an amazing family and are super blessed!
Great job as usual Andrew. We cruised on Divina right after you on a Transatlantic. One thing you forgot to mention was the future cruises desk. We booked our next cruise on Divina for January 2025. We got $150 ship credit and $100 per person deposit.

Oh awesome, have a wonderful cruise. The song is from Owl City called “Clap your hands” they created it for an old video game (I believe golf) we love it though and always play it vacation morning!
I was on this ship for a Mediterranean cruise in late June this yr. my first cruise, I was sceptical, but really enjoyed it. Staff were very nice, food varied from ok to very nice. The buffet is a bit chaotic, noisy, very busy. Food was good in general. My only real criticism was just how busy it was, some really rude people who seemed to always be for the same place , our cabin was quite nice and functional. Clean. Never really anything on tv should you want to relax and watch tv, but that wasn’t a massive issue I suppose. Do be careful if you’ve paid for an all inclusive drinks package, we were being charged for drinks that were supposed to be part of the package, and it basically took all week before they refunded this. And by all accounts many other people had the same issue. Other than that it was really enjoyable.
I was on there in June this yr. the gym was pretty well equipped, loads of runners, loose weights etc, machines. Not sure if there wear classes bit I’d imaging there will be.
100% every cruise line we have been on. Some ships actively try and help though, by having crew go around and sticker chairs that have been gone longer than 30 minutes. If people would just use them when they needed them it wouldn’t even be an issue lol
Just off Davina its true no mens urinels and only 1 cubicle and even stranger i was the only man who seemed to pee on the ship as i was the only 1 in them for the full 7 day cruise 😂

We parked right across from the cruise terminal in the garage. I believe it was $130ish for 7 days, this was from Miami.

SO strange! Someone told me the ship was designed by someone who found urinals to be repulsive, so i guess that's the reason haha.
