I am one of the victim of FTX us. I'll keep it short as possible. Septembar the 29th I invested $450 on FTX. October 10th my account was frozen at 5.3 million dollars telling me that that's the highest payout that they can give. They took all of my information and open my account but when it comes time to pay me they tell me I need additional information.. unfortunately someone stole my identity here in California I'm originally from Arkansas. Long story short not speaking to family members no one was able to help me once I got the identification if our bankruptcy in November.. my case docket number I have in my phone I have to go back and look it up but I had over 300 dockets.. I started buying Bitcoin after FTX crash at this time I have a little over 300 Bitcoin physical. To say all of that what state's best handle Bitcoin that I can use in the merchant I'm here in California all they have is ATM where people can buy bitcoins I need to learn more about Bitcoin I do have my 12 password and have not activated because my identity been stolen. I hear that there is a seminar coming up in Memphis Tennessee I am trying my best to get there hope to see you there or if not continue to watch your videos sorry for the short book that I wrote you to read lol
“What you’re doing, what I’m doing right now is creating a brighter future by moving to Bitcoin and building on top of an honest ledger.” I mean just let that sink in….when you couple that with the fact that we do indeed manifest our futures. If everyone just stopped using FIAT tomorrow and switched to bitcoin the world could start healing and what’s really stopping us??? Our own minds that are trapped in the FIAT system….but that is changing! So, so good!!
Bitcoin is more than just a currency or a store of value, it is a symbol of hope, hope for a better future, hope for a better life! How many people have lost their motivation and optimism after the Covid-19 crisis or the ongoing wars in different parts of the world? We are constantly flooded with negative news about conflicts, mass shootings, violence, corruption and much more, with no signs of improvement. A vicious circle of pessimism. Bitcoin can help break it. Just look at the Bitcoin community, it's inspiring to see people from all walks of life working together in such a positive and creative way to make a difference.
Wow it's so true. There really are people out there in burning buildings, NOT LEAVING, because daddy government doesn't want them to. So the government shuts the exits.
@@thewanderers535 Thanks! This is exactly my goal with this podcast. There are so many super smart people in Bitcoin but not all of them are "well known". So I hope to create a mix between these people and the more familiair ones :)
I have a question, what if theres a powerful entity, individual or country or whatever, that has able to acquire 51% of the bitcoin supply, would that entity be able to do some changes the bitcoin protocol? thanks
Bitcoin is the best money the world has ever seen. The realignment of human incentives will produce a more peaceful and abundant life for many. However, it's still just money. People sometimes elevate Bitcoin to a religion. Jesus said "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?". Jeff said everything is energy, but that does not mean that energy is everything. Mans spirit is above and outside of nature. The "top of the mountain" statement also implied that all belief systems are equally true and valid which is not the case.
If technology makes prices naturally deflationary, doesn’t inflation work to keep process stable over time? I get the issue that arises when a centralized entity controls the rate of inflation, but isn’t inflation useful for stabilizing prices? Would a decentralized, rules-based rate of inflation be a better solution than a deflationary money?
Imo deflation is an “honest” result from the improvement of technology (for which work was done!), and inflation is a “dishonest” result from flawed policy.
Jeff Booth, one of the individuals that solidified my position regarding Bitcoin along with Andreas Antonopoulos, Gregg Foss, Saafedean Ammous, Corey Klippstein, Stephan Livera, Preston Pysch, just to mention a few.
There needs to be an easy way to store and spend BTC for everyday items, a wallet that converts BTC to Fiat as you spend. Similar to having a Wise account that you load up with your home currency when you go abroad and then don't need to worry about converting to local. Bitpay seems to offer something along those lines but its waitlist is closed. If this was mainstream, I am sure BTC adoption would gain a lot more traction.
So far the people in control have been able to suppress deflations benefits to us sheeple with all kinds of control mechanisms especially by controlling all markets and patents. Remains to be seen if us plebes can brake those shackles. Bitcoin seems to be our greatest hope now. However, people still need to adopt it, or opt in as it were, an overwhelming amount of people and with less and less satoshis available for all the newbies, how will that be possible? No matter how honest a ledger it is, adoption is key.
Can't you just buy any asset? Nothing gaurantees BTC is going to increase in value. You can't leave the system as taxes are paid in dollars. You can misplace your password and lose your fortune.
You can buy any asset but people like Michael Saylor, who needed a place to store $500m in excess capital, have concluded that Bitcoin is the safest place to store your wealth. Every other asset you use forces you to defer your responsibilityf to a third party. That is why holding your Bitcoin password is daunting, you never had to do that before!
OK Jeff.... I think someone needs to S-P-E-L-L it our for you ... and I promise I mean no offence by this, but Jeff, .... How do we enter the "new system" and spend time in it if we don't have a $1.2 million lake home, but instead are poor and can barely afford to keep food on the table?
DCA use an exchange or service that allows you to buy a small amount of Bitcoin each week or month stay humble and stack sats and most exchanges have a DCA program
@@Freedom24560 can you please elaborate a little bit? How can someone who is living paycheck to paycheck (which is close to 70% of Americans) enter this new reality "one step at a time?" Thank you.

No, the amount of Bitcoin you hold does not increase your influence over the protocol.
When there are charts and exchanges tracking the price of a Satoshi, it will become real and relevant to the common people of society.
Yes, this is what progressives should want. I want it. thanks
