There was a volunteer offering to "break into" people houses to feed and clean after their pets. Sadly, not all pets made it since the volunteer cannot watch them all the time and there was so much requests 😢
They'd have to unalive me or arrest me to keep me from going back for my animals, idgaf. Glad these pups made it & I hope their owners can get back to them quickly.

My friend was involved in delivering food to rescues. She said a lot of home owners who left their dogs behind to guard their homes from looters not thinking the fire was going to be the nightmare we seeing. People need to be educated about their animals. These animals have been breathing unhealthy air a 5 days. I cannot imagine the owners have not asked the police to do a safety check on these animals. There are hundreds of animals who were left behind!

The police officers, fire personnel, and reporter care more for these dogs than the owners. They were left behind to guard the house AND DIE if the house burned.
This is amazing, for the lack of a better word. The owners can't come back and collect the animals who are hungry, thirsty, scared or in need of medical assistance, but reporters can, because they are giving news...
They explained that in this report. And it's all over the news to - many people were at work or elsewhere and then we're not allowed to go back to their homes when the fire alerts were put out - they were prevented from getting back there and can't even go there now.

I walked though lightning storm to find a puppy that ran by my house. Total bs animals are family or atleast should be you don’t leave family even if you have to go back.

Someone should investigate the dog owners though as people got orders to leave with enough time and they may have left them intentionally as sadly has happened in other situations with floods in other states. A totally heartbreaking thing to happen when your animals are family. If that is the situation, they don't need to be called a monster. Let's find the reason first. This is hard to watch and we all have big hearts and feel this pain for them. Let's come together as a community and not allow divisiveness to divide us.

They look like Cane Corsos (italian mastiffs) they are strong, resilient dogs but really must have had some angels watching over them to help make it through. Prayers to all those who lost or are missing their fur family.
