- In today's episode we are joined by Legendary Pro Skateboarder & Battle at the Berrics Champion, Morgan Smith as we dive into the Pond at The Toronto Metropolitan University - formally known as Ryerson University. The Pond aka Lake Devo, at Devonian Square has been an iconic skate spot in Toronto for over two decades, so it was only right that we covered this in a Classic Toronto Skate Spots video.
Being joined by Morgan and getting the inside scoop on the things he grew up seeing, as well as his contributions to the spot, this episode is an absolute treat. Also being our longest episode yet! Grab some popcorn, sit back and take it all in.

That plaza looks awesome. Good flat in of itself makes a spot extremely appealing. It combined with ledges/manny pads is all you need for a great, versatile spot. 🤔

Pond was so fresh in the early 2000s
arguably toronto's best spot. i've never been kicked out of that pond in the decade i've been skating there.
Definitely one of Toronto’s most iconic spots 👌🏻

After the U OF T Triangle was knobbed this spot really started to shine as the go to spot with no bust, lands in the 2002-2005 era when it picked up people being there everyday all day.
And 20 years later, Pond is still going strong 💪🏻

justin, lovewhat u guys are doing! if old city hall stairs come up i need a favor, i was the first to ollie down old city hall stairs in prob 1988-89, a photo was taken and used in a zine from some friends in ottawa called " cold fish" the zine was archived in the csnadian archives ottawa, the photo was titled "super man ollie" if u can find this, i give u 500$
