Welcome back Eva. Allow me to say this and I hope it helps all ladies in this platform.Tretinoin is a prescription only cream and should be used under supervision by a qualified dermatologist for only a period of time. It should also be used strictly at night. Same for retinol or any retinoid derivative. The only problem is, in Kenya, anything goes. Be careful as you might end up messing your skin in the long run with some of this self prescribed over the counter purchases. For acne all you need is adapalene which is milder and still fights acne effectively. Tretinoin is way too strong and for those with cystic acne etc. You also need to know the type of acne you have so that you get the right vitamin A product to fight them, the only way to do this by by having a derm determine if it is fungal cystic, hormonal etc acne. You say you are still breaking out, clearly, something else is going on and it might just be your skin acting up coz you are exposing it to heat having applied a tret cream. There are lots of misleading skin care info locally and it is so unfortunate coz it is shared from one person to the next without proper info. If I were you, I would consider visiting a derm.
