Never heard it in the SERE torture form, but Kipling was part of high school/college curriculum here in NY. That reading is used to drive soldiers on, it’s used in Navy training, and that’s yet another reason I wouldn’t fit in the armed forces😳
@ Kipling is part of the curriculum almost anywhere in the world like many other things, like geography yet barely anyone knows it. Kipling is an amazing writer. Nine Inch Nails’s tracks were used to torture prisoners, I don’t think it’s their fault.
I was walking home with laundry last night in the rain, listening not watching UA-cam on my way home… the trailer came on while on that walk…. The sound design is f**king fantastic! It gave me a mini panic attack, especially because I had no visuals. So when Jim moves and it breaks the main theme of the sound (which is nuts), I jumped while waiting for the stoplight to change 🥹 Def going opening day, first showing while my daughter is at school ! My headphones helped this happen too, they are the Sony WH1000XM3’s, so it’s hyper realistic and so bass heavy. And again, that female voice “THERE IS NO DISCHARGE IN A WAR” is nuts!
@ A lot of recordings from the early 1900’s sound like that….Thanks for admitting to being mistaken as well. THADEUS from Fallout has a voice that may be mistaken for female also. I thought he may be gender fluid from his bit part in AntMan lol. My mistake 😉
I'd never heard that Rudyard Kipling poem called "Boots" before. Holy CRAP was that powerful and distressing! I mean, used as a soundtrack to the visual cuts... it's literally like a hysterical march into that chaotic war-torn world. Brilliant.
@splattercastpod I'm a huge fan girl of the movies and especially the first from way back. Pretty sure I have both on their original DVD releases, but not Blu-ray. Danny Boyle directing this is instantly going to create some magic. As you say, he's so experimental and aware of how to create a raw energy that this sequel will need. I was just sort of lukewarm about this too, but that trailer now has me salivating. Oh quick note...not to be annoying but Cillian is pronounced Killian. I used to get that wrong too. I don't think he'll be "dead" in this movie as I hear he has a bigger role in the second...but it's all speculation. I've read some interesting theories...
I saw 28 Days Later in the theater, and it was so scary! Everyone had been talking about it ahead of its release. I would love a breakdown of that and 28 Weeks Later. The new one looks awesome!
The soldier at 15:46 looks (to me) like the really horrible solider from 28 days who Jim gauges his eyes out, which could imply a flashback. But, I'll admit I could be totally wrong haha This could easily be a different soldier and they are attempting to 'clear out' a cave of infected/zombies. It seems that the infected/zombies in 28 years could have moved into tunnels/underground and evolved. Either way, brilliant trailer and a must see for me.
I'm cautiously optimistic, I mean 28 days, ABSOLUTELY THE GOAT, but Weeks? The opening is probably my favorite of all time, but the rest of the movie just.. meh. How the infection respread was so unnatural and plot contrived.. I also wonder if they cancelled their orginal idea when the Daryl Dixion spin off was established to be in France ( oddly enough in Paris lol) but I mean I'll give it a shot. I just really hope its not insanely rushed and haphazard like a A Quiet place day one. I mean, that felt like a speedrun in perhaps two-three days? Idk, I'm glad you are very excited, but for me I've had several flicks with banger trailers that turned into "Eh, I enjoyed PARTS of it." Such as Suicide Squad, IT Chapter 2, A Quiet place 2. Lol I'll be VERY dissapointed if Cillian is just a walker. Also in latee TWD they had bows n arrows, farming, and other jobs. The most difficult one seemed to be doctor as they were always getting wiped out and in the apocalypse a doctor or person with medical skills would be worth more than most. In Season 9, after the Saviors war ended they took a trip to DC to the Smithsonian for farming tech kept in the museum and the seed vault. Which, I always cam appreciate when they take these fantastical ideas (walkers/infected) and use real survival skills and techniques.
I grabbed my 28 Days/Weeks double blu-ray set second hand for a few bucks. I see that set and the individual releases quite often. You just gotta get out there and hunt for them.
Maybe it’s a British thing but I have been waiting for another great film in the 28 days later franchise, I loved 28 days but 28 weeks was just ok. I’m so excited for this and have been since they started films since I’m less than 30 minutes away from some of the places they filmed 28 years later.
At least bring back both previous movies to the theater. The two films will make money and set up more hype for this 3rd movie. So many people have not seen these in theaters, so why not?
I know, right! I was thinking the same thing. But with how much time has passed between sequels, maybe they just thought this would be a stronger entry point. We could see Flashbacks to that time period as we go through the trilogy.
Sorry to tell ya fellers, but the TV in the begining of the trailer isn't an RCA, it's a Philips TV. Did you mean to say it was a CRT TV, cause that'd make much more sense with everything else you said about the TV?
I would look up a way to write the script, and then storyboard it. There are guides online which are reliable, and do keep it completely to yourself. Someone may buy your script. I wish you well.
It was originally supposed to be called that, but after sitting in development for years and reworking the script, they decided to call it 28 years later
@@splattercastpod makes sense. This honestly looks so much better than I was expecting tho. I think the time jump will potentially do us some favors for concepts.
Garland and Boyle just introduced a whole generation to Rudyard Kipling
Yes they did! I'm sure this won't be the last time we hear this used in a trailer over the next few years

@ I haven’t and I hate u

@@troublenyc4092 it’s not a female voice. It actor Taylor Holmes.
I honestly thought it was a female voice at first too. It's a wild read.

It makes this trailer so ominous. I love the energy it brings and gets me excited for what symbolic messages this movie will hold.

I can't wait to see this film and buy it too 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
28 days/weeks later are the best zombies film ever!
I'd heard rumours this was happening. Didn't realise it was actually happening now 😮 can't wait.
Luke looks like a younger version of Nerdrotic lol😂
This and the Nosferatu trailer(s) are killing it
I can’t wait 🔥🔥🔥
Please do videos covering the first 2 films. It would be awesome to hear your take on them 👏🔥
We will ❤️
Man i was prob 14-16 when i saw 28 days in theaters and this trailer brought me right back there.
No joke the trailer played as the ad at the end this video lol
I think you meant "Men" when you mentioned "Her" referring to Alex Garland...
Lol 😆 yes! My bad

Re: the generational thing-I’m 29 and I was **shocked** that neither of my brothers (16 and 22) had heard of 28 Days Later 17:35

You're right, good movies always seem to pop up in the most unexpected places!

Cillian is involved too.
Really does look bad ass!
(Curtis) insanely excited for this one. And to cap it off, we get Garland and Boyle back. We're spoiled
100% agree, It's so rare to have the OG creative team return to something like this. I have all the faith in the world it will work out in our favor
You guys do know Alex Garland wrote the first movie, right?
Of course, we said he's was excited to return to this world. Bringing him and Danny back is so 🔥 I can't wait to see what they cooked up
I was fuckin' stoked as soon as I heard Danny Boyle's back in the chair. Love the guy. Looks like he and Garland delivered.
What happened to 28 months later?
At least bring back both previous movies to the theater. The two films will make money and set up more hype for this 3rd movie. So many people have not seen these in theaters, so why not?
❤❤❤
Boots Boots Boots Boots!
so wheres the breakdown?
weird the watch tower poster looks newer, guessing they've been safe a while and not needed a watchtower... till now lol
Streamed 28 Weeks yesterday.
Free
Shouldn’t we have gotten 28 Months later first?

28 years later before gta 6

I have a cool idea for a, Zombie movie. Extremely original. Just not sure how I should go about making it.

Why not call it 28 Months.
Idk if 28 months would have been long enough to depict what it seems they might be going for here. But I see your point lmao

Thought the trailer looked amateur
You’re the only one I’ve seen that said that. And I’ve seen thousands of comments on the trailer
