also shoutouts to being the most embarrassed I’ve ever been when I found out I didn’t say “the” loud enough when I’d said “‘the antler devil’ is 5 syllables” lmao
I just noticed that the background of the timer is actually a timer itself. The furthest right is miliseconds, the one to its left is second, the next is ten seconds, the next is minutes, then ten minutes then hours. That's a wonderful little touch
This game looks neat. I wish there weren't so many points with forced "cutscenes". When unlocking shrines and other sorts of actions. It really breaks the flow of gameplay.
Well yes, but here is the thing. The show already has some indie games sprinkled inbetween others, so just gathering them together and naming it the Indie Block isn't going to show more of them. I was hoping to see more of them. Regardless, what you suggested IS a good idea and i would appreciate it ! Thanks !
Interesting note about 7 25 into the run. Calculation for movement in games sometimes use vectors (x,y) and velocity, rather than raw speed, to determine where characters are going in a set space. Basically the Pythagorean theorem. Say you have a position on an x,y grid (5,3) that is the destination your character is travelling to and you're starting a position (0,0). If you where traveling in a straight line to (5,0),your velocity would be 5. 0^2 + 5^2 = 25, the sqrt being 5. A straight line to (5,3) then would be a velocity of 3, 0^2 + 3^2 = 9, the sqrt being 3. However, it you're going from (0,0) to (5,3) in a straight line you get 5^2 + 3^2 = 34, the sqrt being 5.83. Because 5.83 is a larger distance being traveled in the same amount of time, you end up going faster. Another way to think about it: If your character has a speed of 2, and is traveling right at a rate of (2,0) per second, then their velocity is sqrt of(2^2 +0^2), which is 2. Matches the speed all fine and dandy. If you then decide to move the character up AND right, and their speed is applied to y so that they're now moving (2,2) per second, you get a velocity of sqrt(2^2 +2^2) = 2.82. Since the distance between (0,0) and (2,2) is a longer distance than (0,0) to (2,0), and you have to get there in the same amount of time, your velocity increases even though you never touched you speed value.
Arthur C that’s my Twitch channel! Long story short, I wanted to change another account name of mine But accidentally changed my “RepentMF” to that one. :(

We forgive you....partially.

Happy birthday, Conner Bonner
Just bought the game for switch never knew theres already a speedrun for this game.

garth mod huh, you're right! Didn't noticed it either until you point it out
It's basically a binary clock
yes, but the furthest to the right aren't miliseconds, it's hundreds of miliseconds or tenths of a second
Thanks for the clarification!

I would like to see a GDQ show dedicated to indie games only ! Thanks Repent for showing off this game !
What about an Indie Block? Like the Awful Block?

This game looks pretty sweet. Art style is nice and doesn't look like a massive learning curve to be able to win so just my type of game.
That was quite nice! And very relaxing.
Hmm.. art style and colours are quite similar to Hyper Light Drifter.
This game is a natural evolution of Fairune. Even tho HLD and Kamiko look similar in art, most of it came for Fairune.
I always have run 100%, but his in-game time here is outstanding.
Alrighty very nice runny

b1uezer exactly why you should normalize your vectors and then multiply by a speed value :P
Armed with Wings: Color Palette? I remember playing those games back in the day. What was that about?
Little late but a game called arms with wings rearmed came out and a few of us speedrun it
I love this game!
TURN IT UP??
Please increase the volume!
