Lynx can't do javascript so how did you login to comment? Got you. Unironically my main browser is lynx, but I also have a secondary GUI browser for the things lynx can't handle.
@@locatemarbles the one I actually do use when I do use a terminal browser is links (well its called that on gentoo it might be links2). usually I actually use either surf, or qutebrowser. And I have brave and some kind of firefox browser usually. Because I try to compartmentalize my web browsing. So I will use one browser that I log into my google account with. Another for other accounts. then generally browsing is what I use surf or qutebrowser for.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
What I've learned in the school of repeated failure, is you really should script your videos at least a little, even your rants, even if your "script" is just setting guidelines for yourself so they don't go too far off the rails. (Kinda the reason I almost never upload, honestly. I feel like shit when I follow a script) If you can get a hang of it, you'll come across a lot less scatterbrained and viewers will take you more seriously. That being said, minimalism has its ups and downs, and different people draw different lines for what the minimal is. For some, KDE and Gnome are an easy way to get into Linux and the open source software space. For some others, it's a matter of features that they *are* using that improve quality of life. Some even use different window managers on different machines for different purposes. Say for example, one of your laptops is a crash cart. Chances are it'll have a minimal OS, minimal window manager, and just spawn a terminal and a browser so it's ready to do ssh, serial, or web administration. Others may have argued on the UNIX philosophy, but after seeing this and the previous video, I'd actually argue that web dominance is a disease rather than a cure. The only real reason "all you need is a browser", is because most apps these days are just browser instances loading a website. And it seems in this video you actually touched on this more. To be able to run local software independent of inefficient browsers and cloud services, provides freedom and simplicity whilst possibly exposing you to complexity that was simply hidden from you before. In short, a "minimal" system that does everything in a web browser, is kinda like the sad beige mom of Linux, minimalizing everything and then relying on services to handle life's complexities that upset your minimal vibe.
modern day geek squad after hours vibe
Meanwhile me only using lynx for my browser in my tty 🗿
