Hi everyone, I thought I'd show you how to take out the printer head from the Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer. I had already removed it to try and unblock it, turned out probably would never have ublocked fully no matter how much I'd have tried. My advice here is to not use white spirit to unblock the fine nozzles on the print head, it seemed to dissolve the glue that holds it together, only use the correct type of cleaners or better still, take it to a professional specialist, still i had fun taking it apart and it gave me the opportunity to show how to do it. Please take care if opening printer parts as they are delicate and can be expensive. I hope someone finds this info useful, please like and subscribe, thank you for watching.

Hi, thanks for the video. Never see print head inside before :). I have two questions- when you put the print head back in the printer do you need to use any software to do alignment? Also, some people advised to use isopropyl alcohol to clean your print heads if cant be cleaned only with water. May be added to the water will help?
Hi, thanks for watching and the comment. Once re installed, you'd just need to run the nozzle cleaning and alignments from the printer maintenance menus a few times, if no blockages then would be fine. I would be very careful with any fluids to clean as I didn't know the jet nozzle plate is glued on so in my case white spirit dissolved the glue. I forced air pressure in there which also blew a hole in the glued area so just have to be very careful.

Sorry if this question seems amatuer-ish but can this printer be used for dtf or converted to sublimation? I have the opportunity to purchase one for a very decent price but would like to be able to use it for more than just paper if possible. Thanks in advance.

I have to admit I'm no expert on this printer but I did look it up and I found a video where a dtf print was done with this model which looked pretty good and another video I found showed a continuous ink system for this model too so by the looks of it, both might just be doable.
