I actually teared up when Batman told him, you're not a nobody. This was one of the best Batman fan films I've seen. I love that you capture the fact, that more than anything, Batman just wants to help people. I've struggled with addiction, so this movie really hit home for me. Thank you for this. I just got back from a screening of Batman: The Killing Joke, and that didn't move me emotionally as much as this short film was able to. Well done.
Thank you. This movie was made for you and anyone else who has ever struggled (with anything). I am honored that it touched you. Feel free to share it with everyone.
A fantastic fan film. Supremely well-presented and written piece that honours Keaton's Batman and the Burton films. But what I really love about it is how well it captures the essence of Batman. Elemental, terrifying, vengeful...but will never allow himself to lose sight of humanity, and will always provide hope/redemption to those who deserve it. One of your best, Chris.
Loved how you showed The Dark Knight in a different portrayal. Showing despite he is on that path of Darkness, He still brings that shed of light and hope to those who have none, Even if it is a near brutal wake up call. BRAVO!!!
This is rage personified, The darkest version of Batman..like how the public sees the Batman....I really like the junky aspect of it. I want to see more Batman from you guys!
Amazing. I loved the way you went with this Batman Interpretation, going into a less explored area of what "The Batman" really means. Loved the film, fantastic job.
With this brutal version of Batman wearing the 89 suit, gives me Keaton Batman when he was still new to the job, like Batman Year One vibes or something. And I like the fact that innocents are also afraid of him, not joyous; i think it hearkens to how we might react to someone like that. Well done, Chris! I've been following your work for a couple of years now and have yet to be disappointed.
Charlie Clouser’s music always gives me the chills! Wow! This was really good! I love how the guy described Batman as “A Demon in the Night.” Best description of Batman I’ve ever heard of.
Amazing, no doubt this was an amazing film. Acting was top notch, Batman's 89 costume is very accurate, and the cinematography looked fantastic. I like how it comes from the view of a nobody, seeing Batman as a demon of rage, who strikes major fear into criminals as well as a hard beating. The way Batman beats the criminals is like an interpretation of how people see Batman today, just a crazy man in a Bat suit who beats low life criminals to near death out of rage for revenge against his dead parents. Just look at Batman in the DCEU, he is just a madman who has no trouble with letting people die and suffer from seriously injures he conflicted. This is due to people only focusing on famous Batman comics like the Dark Knight Rises, where Batman is breaking all of the Jokers necks. While still a good read, the people let this one book define who Batman is as a whole character, because of the story's fame. People have lost sight on who Batman really is as a hero. Sure he has rage and he can be a bit crazy at times, but that's just one of the many factors of his character. First and foremost Batman is a superhero, a superhero who cares for the protection of people. That's why he became Batman in the first place so that way no one has to ever experience losing a loved one to crime again. He wants to protect people from crime, and Batman ,as a character, is smart enough to know that going around and beating people isn't the only way to help people. Batman is suppose to inspire people to be better, to do better, and those four words uttered by the dark knight or so much more closer to Bill Fingers and Bob Kane's Batman than any of the newer live action movies will ever be. While Batman is harsh and painful at times, he still does what he does to protect people. That's why he has the no killing rule, because he believes anyone can change, and wants to help them get better. That's why his villains are so cruel, they push Batman to his limits; which can cause his anger to take over, but Batman never loses sight on his one mission, to be a protector, a great detective, and the hero . This film was more faithful to Batman's character with four words, FOUR WORDS, because the creator of this video understands the character of Batman more than any business executive at Warner Bros. Good Job, you've got me rambling on about Batman now. 98.9/100. It deserves more attention than it has already.
This is one of the best Batman fan films i've seen, and i saw a lot of fanfilms. Good acting, good script, relatively good direction, and good vestuary
This was amazing...the fact that you used Charlie Clouser's score from "Saw" is the icing on the cake. Gripping, dark, emotional...you did what multiple filmmakers with million dollar budgets couldn't accomplish...you brought depth and emotion to Batman. Great Job! I will be telling all of my friends about this!
This film truly touches me as a bat fan and is one of my favorite blinky films. Batman using his visage not just to scare the superstitious and cowardly but to scare people in need outta apathy w/ a comforting word is so powerful. My favorite aspect of batman as a character and heroes in general is when they save people, this was wonderful.
Fantastic work. Even though personally I more of a fan of Christoper Nolan's Batman movies, I still love the original 1989 "Batman" movie, such a childhood favorite. Props to Dave Mosser for providing the Batman suit, it looked perfect, and the actor playing Batman looked amazing in the suit, he practically captured the essence of Michael Keaton's Batman, even looked a bit like Keaton. Again, fantastic work on this short.
I love it! This was an excellent film you did, I can understand that this was focused on Dante and how he told everybody about his problem with drugs especially his encounter with Batman. I love how you used the Keaton Batsuit it's one of my favorite batsuits. This was amazing to watch and you did a good job in making Batman look scary, like a creature of the night. Overall great job, keep up the good work!
I saw this on the phone, and decided to see the film. it didn't disappoint me about a junkie's (former, that is) talk about the moment that turned his life around, and made him see for himself that he mattered-by Batman saying four little words to him...."you're not a nobody"like the other viewers said-scared straight-Batman style. hopefully I'll see more from you in the future. thank you.
My favorite Batsuit (Tim Burton 80's batman) along with the actor putting on a great show. The whole cast did an excellent job. Been a Batman fan since the late 1980's. That is what is great about Batman, he can see the hurt and broken people deep inside themselves. He strikes fear in those who would cause people of Manhattan...errr i mean Gotham harm but he truly wants people to change.
The guy in the Batman suit killed it. I'm hoping for a series out of this with Bats as a prominent character. If not just a group of disconnected stories of how Batman scared people straight. Oh and I'll place a request, A Harley Quinn and Joker fan film.
Despite obvious production budget issues the movie is very well made and has a soul most official movies didn't. And the guy looked even better than Keaton in that suit. This should be a series where we see different Batman tales from the eyes of Gothamites.
This is one of your best works yet, Chris! I really love this fan film since it pays homage to the Tim Burton films and I like how it focuses on Dante's perspective on how he encountered Batman as he saved a woman from being mugged. I really liked how Batman was portrayed in this film...This is the Batman I grew up with and I like my Batman to be dark, mysteries and frightening at times. Plus really loved how you used the 89 Batsuit for this film. Keep up the great work, Chris!
That was amazing. Job well done to the cast and crew of this short film. I definitely love the part where Batman tells Dante "You're Not A NOBODY". It shows the part of Batman that's human. Even tho he's this spooky Scary vigilante shaking up the streets of Gotham, underneath it all Batman actually cares about the people. It would be awesome if we had an epilogue for Dante showing that after he went straight, he got a Job at Wayne Industries. Bruce Wayne would be the kinda guy to give everyone a second chance at a better life.
Bravo, kudos to you Blinky! I've always wanted to see Batman as certain segments of the population might, and you took perhaps the boldest direction possible; those who live on the street who might not be given to certain violent proclivities. They don't have the knowledge the audience does so I'd imagine being in Batman's presence would be terrifying to no end. And you nailed that sensation.
Nothing says "Don't do drugs" quite like an addict seeing Batman beating up 2 dealers and probably thinking "If I don't sort myself out that'll happen to me." Reminds me of the animated series episode It's Never Too Late when Batman shows the gangster Arnold Stromwell his son Joey in a rehab clinic after getting hooked on drugs sold by Stromwell and his gang.
that's one of the better fan made films. great work...the end/credit song is awesome. and the keaton suit...great choice...it is imo the perfect sculpt for the cowl. this is better than city of scars!
Merry Christmas. Leaving my annual message about how much this film helped me. I live in a nice house, my biggest worry is my koi pond, and I actually make extra food to give out. Thank you.
I saw two things here. I saw just how scary Batman can be. The movie, comics, and cartoons TELL us that he's supposed to be frightening, but that savage beating, in a random alley, showed us just how brutal he can be, and how he can show up anywhere, anytime. Your short also showed us that he's not just some sadist in fetish gear. He saw a broken man who had hit rock bottom, and he knew that this man could still be saved. Bravo to you, sir. Bravo.
DEAR BLINKY AND CHRIS, AN AWESOME TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL KEATON 'S BATMAN, AND TIM BURTON'S FILMS, AND AN INCREDIBLE MOVING STORY OF ONE DANTE, WHO BATMAN MADE REALIZE HE WAS A MAN OF WORTH!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS AND GOD OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING I LOVED IT DEARLY!!!
Damn, how did I miss this for so long. super glad ive seen it now though. this is fantastic, you captured the essence of the Batman mythos perfectly, and the idea and story were an awesome look at it from a different angle. I assume you had a small budget so kudos for using what you had very effectively and well. This is quite possibly the best Batman "fan film" ive ever seen. massive respect and best wishes to all who helped create this, you did really, REALLY good. Theres nothing else to say except DAMN !!! WELL DONE !!!
Very interesting take on Batman! Love the score and Robert P. Young gave a very dramatic performance, reminded me of a stage actor a bit. What I was most surprised by? No Danny Elfman score, I assume it's because of the tone of the film being more 'somber' and less 'epic'? Anyway, very cool! :)
yes, it was part of the NO list. No Elfman. NO classic/dramatic poses. NO playing to the camera or milking a shot. and so on. i wanted to make Batman scary again.
I actually like the "no list" you used. This is from the perspective of an ex-junkie, so that all works well. The suit looks amazing BTW. I wouldn't mind seeing the Burton Batman in future projects.
Very Good Video. Just rewatched it and still its Good. Its production values are not the greatest, but the cast and crew, obviously, put in a lot of hard work into this. And that shows. Plus the story that is presented, is Top Notch!!!! And that is what makes a good film, fan-made or otherwise. :)

I don't know why, but somehow the "You're not a nobody" line seemed to me to represent Batman perfectly.

Nicely done.
Hope that there are more out there or to come. Zack looked awesome as Batman and one of the best Batsuits, in the fan film business.
Good job - a nice small story. The costume looks great! You know Batman better than most in Hollywood.
Thanks!
I've got a soft spot for Burtons batman costume. Just looks bad ass.
Wow, well written & you actually selected a believable actor for the Batman role. Tops of the fan films.

Well it technically is a series. I have tales for Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash.
As for budget, it was nothing.
Whoever designed the batsuit for this just nailed it! It looks perfect.
Fantastic work! I wish the Batman comics and movies were as character driven and mysterious as this piece.

Just superb, very well done, and very well acted, Batman looked great and the dialogue was very good!
This was an excellent short. Am so glad the algorithm's been changed or I'd have missed this. Worth a "like" and a "sub." Thanks for the upload.
Love the stare at the end. Just perfect.
Very nice! Love the narration!
A goosebumps hit me hard when the Bat said, "You are NOT a nobody".
Now I am a Bat addict instead of a drug addict...
I'm rewatching all of these just to decide my favorite. You made that hard for me, my friend; because they're all so good lol

neither would i.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work.
Hopefully you can make another then.
I can't believe I missed this - excellent work!
WOW!!! Nothing fancy, but a good, strong, intense story. Well done!!! :)
"You're not a nobody" is so unexpected from the Batman we've gotten in Suicide Squad, BVS and in Nolan's trilogy. How smart
We need a full movie of this batman fan film, who's with me?
Love it this is now one of my favorite Batman fan film
Bruce was pissed of with Alfred that night, you can tell from his behaviour...... That night.
thank you for making this i love your work
thank you for watching!
Any fan film that uses the Keaton suit gets points from me 👌
Spectacular! Bravo! That was amazing!
This is definitely one of the best fan films I've seen. Close to Batman Dead End
Thoroughly enjoyed the film Chris. Liked the Bill Finger mention in the credits
Damn Chris that was deep, some real shit. Very good work
thank you!
