Check the transmission fluid dipstick. My Fit started to flash D. Checked the transmission fluid and it low. Added some more fluid and the flashing D went away. I've put a 100 miles on the car since then and no problems. I'm crossing my fingers this worked.
I have a 2010 Honda Fit. I was driving home yesterday, and my check engine light came on, and my D light was flashing. I actually watched this video. Jetted to AutoZone sure enough the code PO847 popped up. Ordered the part, and had a friend change it out in less than 5 minutes. Here’s the kicker. The original part was barely even screwed in (had no idea until today) so when I hit a bump yesterday it must’ve come a loose. Long story short car is fix, car isn’t bucking forward, and no check engine light, or D light. Thanks man 👊

@@6ixthstage845 so I took it to the “Mr. transmission” shop that told me they thought that was the issue and they said it didn’t fix the issue and didn’t charge me. So they think it’s probably a wiring issue now.. and said to take it to a dealer. Hopefully it won’t cost much

Took it on the road and the transmission bucks into only 1st and 2nd. Is this what happened to yours? Mines a 2011 Fit with 115k miles. Am I supposed to do anything else?
@@6ixthstage845 After scanning it was code p0977 "shift solenoid circuit B". I ordered a new solenoid and saved the old pressure sensor. Hopefully this does the trick.

Hello, my 2009 Honda Fit, which has about 72k miles, just started doing this. It also "jumps," when it's shifting or trying to shift. Does replacing the sensor stop the jumps? Or is it a deeper issue?
@@nehann985 my problem was the solenoid wires were chewed from a rodent. A buddy and me took the upper pieces off and got down to it and saw it. So, I bought a new solenoid, took my car to the local mechanic and he rewired the new one. He charged me about 50 bucks to rewire it. I heard others had the same issue but from a dealer were charged 700. Ugh.
Do you think it would be terrible to drive it with this for a few days before I get it sorted? It’ll just be like 30 minutes a day for the next 4 days. I have a super busy week and will struggle without a car but I don’t want to do serious damage

@@1990758 The flashing D went away and so did the check engine light, I took it to a garage a couple days later because it needed a service anyway and they said there was no record of the error. Luckily I took a picture of the flashing D because the guy seemed to think I had imagined the whole thing haha. No idea what was going on but it has been fine ever since.
Mine is a 2017 Honda Accord, and sometimes instead of D, I get a blinking 03 indication. Check engine light does not come on, and when I do an OBD scan I don't get any error codes. Any idea what it might be?
My 2005 Honda Fit/Jazz won't engage drive at startup, has to warm up for ages, but reverse engages without a problem. I've reset the ECU, via negative disconnect. Taking it to the mechanic tomorrow for error code reading..
@@sekamwaandrew221 Mechanic gave me a readout of about 7 engine warning codes. He said re the forward gears not engaging at startup might be because the auto-trans has rubber seals inside that harden over time, and it might mean they need to warm up before they let the fluid flow, so who knows.. I replaced the hydro engine mount (the one under the battery) and that helped for a short time, but then the trans went useless again. I've found getting it flushed has helped before. you can try resetting the battery first to see if the light goes away. unhook the battery terminals, press on the brake pedal for 3 seconds 3x, then rehook. if light is still there, you will have to scan the code

it just means your car is driving at a lower gear. short term you can probably drive but it is putting some strain on the engine since at a lower gear, you are making it work harder. you should have it fixed.

Just happened to me at my dad's shop fixing it now on my 2009 Fit sport. 6 it isn't the transmission. it only has 119k miles. Update paid 65 bucks for the piece and car is driving like butter lol

i have a honda fit 2004 model i recently changed its gearbox and the ecu and it performed well until now. I get a flashing D light and drive at a high rpm when on low speed. I guess i should try this see if it works

This just happened to me yesterday in my 2008 Honda Fit Sport. I could drive just fine but the final gear never engaged so I was at about 3K RPM at 60mph. No issues other than that.
Yesterday my car gear oil pipe leaks i dont no why and all the gear oil bleeds down ...when i shift the gear again to D ..the car was not moving so i immediately turn the car off and call the mechanic ... changed gear oil pipe and also put new gear oil to the car...the gage of gear oil is now full and now my car is moving good as before but today it give me a blinking D flash for 10 seconds then i turn off the car and start it again..then there was no flashing D...also my car gerks in the first few gears ...so wht you think wht will be the problem to my transmission?
Never asking dealer or transmission shop for such BS, as it may end up too expensive. When I've had this issue with 2nd gear switch on my 07 Base , I bought a switch from the nearest dealer for $70 (Saturday afternoon). It took about an hour to replace (located behind the battery close to firewall)

have scanned the unit and it goes like P1887 is what the scannwr reads? hows that?
Might be a faulty TCC release switch or even a problem on the harness or connection.....

Failed pressure sensor 2191J1. Try AutoZone to scan for you if you're in the States to make sure.

also vsa check engine light and abs light comes on
not sure but sounds like a wiring harness issue if all of that is happening.
