CB was like time traveling back to the 80s, 90s when it wasn’t so crowded and everyone can have their own personal space, even in a queue. Now is slowly back to reality.
Ghibbisan, every time you come online, I'm on see-food diet... You're not alone....I also have mixed feelings about Phase 2. I think I'll miss the Circuit Breaker too. In fact I already do. When I went for my night runs, 1.The quiet streets 2. The empty buses and trains. But I'm also glad we're able to go back to doing some of the things we loved doing like shopping and meeting up with friends. Take care and stay safe.
I live in Tokyo but I completely agree on the peaceful part due to quarantine. It was ridiculously quiet in Tokyo when the emergency state was still in effect, and weirdly I loved seeing the empty streets of Tokyo. I think there’s gonna be a need to establish the new normal for a lot of us. Stay safe!
Totally feel you, Ghib-san! Everyone is comfortable in their own bubble and change is difficult as it is seen as uncertainty. No worries, you’ll get used to it to film more interesting content. I’m learning to take the positive side of staying at home which is to spend time with my family and bringing it to the new phase. Gambateh!
Nice to have you alongside with us in Singapore. I have been watching your videos since CB started. You could have chosen to return back to Japan during this period but you chose to stay put and go through the crisis with us. For that, I consider you as more Singaporean than some Singaporeans. Thank you and see you around real soon :) Ganbatte!
I will definitely definitely miss the peace that circuit breaker brought us :') This video made me a little sentimental haha let's all enjoy our last day of peace tomorrow!
Hi Ghibli Ojisan! いつも楽しく観てます!! Actually I was feeling the same, but I didn't know why. A lot of my friends were just so excited for circuit breaker to end and I thought something was wrong with me 😅 After watching your video it made me feel better. いつも面白いビデオを作ってくれてありがとうございます!
I will definitely miss the circuit breaker... as an introvert, I will have to ignore people's comments about how much I actually enjoy just being at home.
Ghib Ojisan is right, I am an office worker and I don't want to go back to the office. Because in office there is office politics and a lot of drama mamas and drama papas. When you don't have to face certain people and look at their faces, there is less stress. When I was still working in the office before the CB, I realize a lot of people don't go to office to work but to spread gossip and gaslight others. Only 4/8 hours is actually spend working. 2 hours break / lunchs and 2 hours of going to bathroom breaks and gossips.
I didnt notice the butterflies/bees but i did see that the overgrown weeds had became so tall (height around my waist?) and had different flowers!! It was quite recent, i noticed it when the workers were trimming the grass... =\
You had to make Singaporean skits! They are so simple, wholesome and hilarious! I repeatedly went back to the part about Singaporean going home and watching money heist on netflix and laughed to my heart's content! Your simple and sincere content genuinely helps to connect us all. Over time, we will simply watch anything you put out because we see a friend in you and you reminded us of ourselves. Keep being you and thank you for consistently infusing so much authenticity in what you do! This is one of the best contents on youtube and inspire me to create the same in my own way : )
I'm with you! I also like the peace when I'm doing my grocery shopping and less crowded footpath. And I really hate to see the plates and stuff ppl leave behind after a meal at the hawker center. Those who don't clean up after themselves. I'll miss circuit breaker! I wonder if this can be adopted as a permanent thing in future like a stay home week once every two or three months. We can spend time bonding w family and help keep environment and air clean!
You are not the only one who is going to miss the Circuit Breaker. I will miss the quiet journey when i travel to work. CB indeed reminds me the times when i am in 80s of Singapore. You can feel tranquility and peacefulness during that time.
Me too. The noise generated from the road works, NSC project along AMK Ave 6, teenagers playing basketball down below, old folks talking loudly at the void decks early in the morning makes life more uptight than peaceful if a person appreciates the serenity of the environment around your estate.
I really enjoy your skits. It’s funny and so relatable. I think for the working people, we had to switch from our usual ways of working to working from home, being forced to use technology to work for 3 months as compared to the usual face to face interactions caused us to get “used to” working from home. I am just glad the gyms and swimming pools are opening in phase 2.
Same lah. When i got the news, i was so shocked even though i am sooo sick of staying at home everyday. And i work as a waitress, so boss asked if can go back to work this weekend. But i most prob start next week. This weekend is Fathers Day somemore. Everyone will be out shopping like mad and celebrating like mad. I am gonna be cautious still.
I know what you meannnnnn, the moment phase 2 was announced and my workplace announced that we were to slowly start work onsite, my heart sank HAHAHAHA
Singapore's effort to control the virus seems like a dream compared to here in the US. I'm in Chicago and lots of people on the street do wear masks and now we are in an early re-opening phase. But the other night I passed a local outdoor bar which was PACKED with people and I did not see one mask among the patrons. I'm a photographer and photo studio owner and already we are having to deal with the reality of opening and to then figure out what safeguards to put in place before people come into our studio. I think I will partly miss our lockdown because I could feel more safe in my own bubble. More skits much appreciated.
Me neither, I am a huge introvert, and the CB period made the streets and food establishments a lot more comfortable to be at without all that overcrowding. Plus, Earth has had a chance to heal from excessive human damage.. that's huge.
You are not the only one. You have spoken to my heart. I also feel mixed feelings. Thank you for sharing your heart out. I don't feel so alone. Your landlady is a housewife so house wife's views are different. Like what you observed, there are huge adjustments to make in terms of going back to office, working at home and back to office again. Then have to adjust to election during this covid time. I will miss the good factors from the circuit breaker. Peace and stillness that come along with circuit breaker. I feel balance is a key. Thank you for your video. I am addicted to your honesty.
I can understand u bro, I am not excited for shopping mall crowds to be back and just being crowded everywhere. This circuit breaker has made life more peaceful, Go jogging in the park at night time and oh my it’s the best feeling ever
I will miss the empty roads the most, weekdays 5pm with no traffic (no erp!) is amazing. And after 2 or so months, I got stuck in traffic today. But at the same time, I hated how empty the city was, it's quite disturbing. So I am excited for it to be busy again, but also, I want everyone to be safe. It's just one of those double edged sword moments. But seriously tho, please continue being careful, we don't want a big 2nd wave and have everything shut down again.
Love working from home. Safe time, save money. So much efficient in my work. N so much quality time with family. Quite emotional to go back to the old ways again. But nice that we could eat out. Nice that we could visit parents n friends.
To be honest, I will really miss circuit breaker too... Circuit breaker has gifted me the time to pursue things I never had the chance to (learning new musical instruments, journaling, learning a new language etc) due to the hectic school followed by working life. As far as I can remember, I never had the opportunity to stay home and bond with my family members for this long as well!!
Yeah same here.. somehow I’m having a mix feeling about entering the phase 2. Today, in the evening I was shocked when I saw the MRT little bit crowded maybe because I’m already used to seeing empty public transport these several months. Not gonna lie, I’m going to miss the calmness around the city.. but hey we need to get back to reality somehow.
miss the days when Singapore was a much less crowded country. the 80s and the 90s were the best, everything in this country seem to work. then we decided to import so many people from China, followed by the CECA agreement and now the whole country is overrun with foreigners. i will miss the circuit breaker.
Although im sort of a extrovert, i really loved what i could do during circuit breaker, like watching your videos, and baking and learning a bunch of new stuff...
I have similar feeling. I felt during CB I had to deal with myself all the time, this left me some impact that will last long, and I feel part of me changed. Now SG becomes alive again, I also feel everywhere just becomes noisy again.
Mixed feelings too as I’ll miss the light traffic flow when driving from point A to point B is a breeze all day long. I’ll miss the spacious seatings and walking areas when hardly one would bump onto you. I’ll miss the cleaner toilets due to lesser usage and more cleaning(I hope)!
I will miss staying at home and gaming everyday. And seeing mostly empty streets past 10pm. As if the streets are mine. CB rly suits introverts very well. Sucks we have to go back
I share your sentiment too. I do not enjoy the wearing mask requirement. But, like you, I’ll miss the quietness and the surreal “pause”. Perhaps, the thing that probably contributes to this melancholy is the stark reminder that beneath the effervescence of normalcy are serious economic issues to review, people caught or trapped in socioeconomic cracks that we often overlook (deliberately or otherwise), that globalisation, humanity, earth badly needs a reset. Return to normalcy, I fear, means stubbornly continuing our old set ways ignoring all the “lessons” and/or “alerts” warnings” that this pandemic has brought to our attention.
I'm going to continue staying at home, and will be only going out to work, swim or buy food. Not just because I just know many other singaporeans will all rush out and we will have many cases and waves to come, but I realize over the CB that I am a true introvert and love this routine now, and don't want to mix in with the crowds much anymore, with or without the virus. I only have 2-3 close friends and they would just come over to my place to have tea, chill, vice versa, and that's all :)))
I have mixed feelings too.... the good is that I can soon eat out, meet friends, go back to the gym and do activities that were restricted during CB period. Eventually I will also need to return to the office, which is definitely more conductive for work. However I won't be able to save time on travel, maximise my sleeping/nap time before/after work, enjoy the less crowded streets, malls and public transport (SG is just so crowded in general)... I also enjoyed my hikkikomori lifestyle and will definitely miss staying at home all day doing nothing and just relaxing =\
You can still choose to work indoor even after we enter phase two. You can go out and film whenever you feel bored. You have 100% freedom to choose how you want to work. Simply because, you are a youtuber! =D
I have mixed feelings about it I miss the peace , less hectic going on less rush , but at the same time during cb since my entire family is home and sometimes it's noisy . So as an introvert i have a few friends it won't make a huge differences but miss hanging out with them once in a while !
Same here how I wish the CB won’t have to end... it’s so nice when not many people on the train and less people eating out .. but too bad all good things must come to an end! 😅
I am also having mixed feelings. Phase 2 means we had made progress, however I miss the quiet days, the animals that came out from their hiding and enjoy the freedom of their land which we had intruded. The clear blue skies and brilliant rainbows. It's not about introverts and extroverts. What is the difference between delivery of food back home or eating outside? Food is same. All I can think of that is a pros is meeting my friends, think that's about it....😌
I am worried that we may be entering Phase 2 a bit too early, don't want to see a 2nd wave of the COVID-19 hitting Singapore. Pray that everyone watch their social distancing and wear their masks, etc and if they are unwell, to see the doctor and stay at home till they are well. Think I am the worried type.
Think you will enjoy the fresh air & freedom this coming Friday will bring.. It's very different at the East Coast Park PCN in the late afternoon. It's well occupied by cyclists, joggers & pedestrians as individuals & families suffer from cabin fever. Expecting less crowds at PCNs in phase 2 as the exercise imposters go back to their air conditioned malls. Looking toward to your new travel blogs including hawker centres.
I guess everyone have the same feeling, like to me, it is a FORCED rest and it recharges the "battery" when we stay home and feel useless or that we missed the work place, we still get to travel around on less crowded bus and MRT, quiet parks and contacting old friends while staying at home. On the other hand, we all missed the human interaction with other people (MINUS the office POLITICS) and seeing the hustle and bustle of life, we can always find nice quiet place to go even during normal times (like botanic garden or bukit timah hill) Hey Ghib Ojisan, you should condier climbing the hill by the "scenic route" not the TAR road. Sadly many company had closed down and even more sadly, people fall ill due to this virus, but hopefully we come out stronger, appreciate life and family more than money itself. And for SURE!! ALL Singaporean MISS travelling for holiday!
Before CB was even announce already notice lesser crowds in Restaurants & Orchard Rd on Friday nights.... hope people still be responsible & sensible during phase 2
For me, an unexpected and very strange thing here in Tokyo is.. there are no tourists. Even though I know foreign tourism is an important part of the economy, it's been soooooooo quiet and not crowded, and I am enjoying that part of it for now. Can you imagine Tokyo with no tourists? :o
i have mixed feelings too!!! i am able to make the family eat healthy home cook food these few months but from nxt wk onwards, all will be on their own again, all hv to eat out except for wkends. I will miss the time that we spend together these few months. It is still not safe outside and we will hv to he on high alert when we are going to spend so much time out of our home again. it is going to be tiring to hv to worry for all again.
Real reason? Simple, because businesses will cease if they continue to incur losses which result in ppl losing jobs & also reopening of sectors allows ppl who were laid off to get jobs. Not everyone has the privilege to work from home watch youtube all the time like some ppl here. Theres more to the rationale but ofc as usual, if political vermins are going to make their typical assumptions, it doesnt matter what the rationale is. OHHH iT iS fOr tHe eLeCtiOnS, yeah as if elections revolve around 1 party only & benefit only 1 party
I sort of get how you are feeling because I also felt the same. About a change, about a deviation from the routine I have gotten so used to, an excuse to just stay at home for a long time. But at the same time, I was so so happy when I heard the news about entering Phase 2 because that means I could drink tea at Yakun again! Definitely will miss the tranquility which you mentioned. The trains are so empty now and it feels so peaceful to take public transport. Nobody is really talking on the train and it is quiet. I think there is this saying in Japanese that reminds me to soak up every present moment and treasure it - 一期一会. Not sure if I have understood and used it correctly, but based on my understanding of the phrase, I really like it. Btw, really love the skits you have made. They are so funny and lighthearted to watch - yet informative at the same time. You have summed up your feelings very well here and see the circuit breaker in a positive light. We will all look back and remember it as a special period in our lives.
I dont want CB to end at all. Im happy staying at home. With CB ending, i have to go out look for a job. I would rather continue on my book i started writing during cb D:
CB was like time traveling back to the 80s, 90s when it wasn’t so crowded and everyone can have their own personal space, even in a queue. Now is slowly back to reality.
Ikr, being born in the 80s, childhood in 90s, Singapore wasn't developing so much economically, but people seem much happier and less stress..
I also don't want Circuit Breaker to end because it is so shiok taking the empty MRT.... and I love staying at home.
Extroverts will be very happy but introverts will need to adapt to the extroverts society or way of living again.
Introverts would be happy too cause the extroverts would leave the house and the introverts will be alone and therefore happier
Ghibbisan, every time you come online, I'm on see-food diet...
You're not alone....I also have mixed feelings about Phase 2. I think I'll miss the Circuit Breaker too. In fact I already do. When I went for my night runs,
1.The quiet streets
2. The empty buses and trains.
But I'm also glad we're able to go back to doing some of the things we loved doing like shopping and meeting up with friends. Take care and stay safe.
Back to 80s and 90s..
I am going to miss the quietness and no crowds during CB. So tranquil. Same feeling as you.
Stay safe!
Me too! Never had so much “Me” time before “circuit Breaker”
Hi Ghib! Your consistent uploads is one of the reasons why I love CB so much! Thank you for the quality content & keep up the great work! 👏🏼😊
Totally feel you, Ghib-san! Everyone is comfortable in their own bubble and change is difficult as it is seen as uncertainty. No worries, you’ll get used to it to film more interesting content. i love the CB period. No traffic, fresh air yes fresh air. I will love to see rotating shift permanently setting in the world and more work at home
I miss the peaceful feeling already .. the quietness... the clean air..
I will definitely definitely miss the peace that circuit breaker brought us :') This video made me a little sentimental haha let's all enjoy our last day of peace tomorrow!
Yes me too, suddenly feel a little depress that the circuit breaker is ending soon....
Hi Ghibli Ojisan!
いつも楽しく観てます!! Actually I was feeling the same, but I didn't know why. A lot of my friends were just so excited for circuit breaker to end and I thought something was wrong with me 😅 After watching your video it made me feel better.

Honest review which speaks for many of us who actually enjoyed the CB :) Thank you! :D
I will definitely miss the circuit breaker... as an introvert, I will have to ignore people's comments about how much I actually enjoy just being at home.

I'm gonna miss the circuit breaker... If I had the capability, I know I'm gonna 100% be a hikikomori 😂
so glad im not the only one enjoying being a hikkikomori T_T
We will see less butterflies and bees...as the wild overgrown flowers and plants...Will be cut and trim...😫😫😩😩
During circuit breaker..we can see mimosa...but...will...be...gone...soon...
same :'( im happy im not the only one who thinks the overgrown plants are beautiful :')
Ooh ya during the cb there are more butterfly
I didnt notice the butterflies/bees but i did see that the overgrown weeds had became so tall (height around my waist?) and had different flowers!! It was quite recent, i noticed it when the workers were trimming the grass... =\
You had to make Singaporean skits! They are so simple, wholesome and hilarious!
テレワークが快適すぎて、一生テレワークしたくなってしまいました。する前は反対してたのに…。人間慣れますねぇ。(笑)
You are not the only one who is going to miss the Circuit Breaker. I will miss the quiet journey when i travel to work. CB indeed reminds me the times when i am in 80s of Singapore. You can feel tranquility and peacefulness during that time.
Me too. The noise generated from the road works, NSC project along AMK Ave 6, teenagers playing basketball down below, old folks talking loudly at the void decks early in the morning makes life more uptight than peaceful if a person appreciates the serenity of the environment around your estate.
i like the peace and quiet too.. miss singapore from the 2000s
Very moving, reflective episode, Ghib-san. Speaks to the heart of many of your fans, myself included.
Ghib San, when Circuit Breaker first started u didn't know what to do & almost went crazy. Now we are all so used to it! Lol
There are many people outside
Hope that things wont get worse and wont have 2nd wave
Actually I'm in a same page! I feel myself a bit wired though, I miss these staying at home period^^;
I know what you meannnnnn, the moment phase 2 was announced and my workplace announced that we were to slowly start work onsite, my heart sank HAHAHAHA
It is cool that you talk while doing stuff like exercising... Feels like having a casual chit-chat with a friend while hanging out. Cool!
いきなり最初からなんか食べてるジブおじ😂好きすぎる💖
2ヶ月家にいて今月からいきはじめて、今めちゃくちゃストレス感じてる。静けさが恋しい
Agreed on the tranquility part. Lots of time to chill at home with nobody to disturb me!
Our earth misses CB too I'm sure. No pollution, no traffic jam, rivers become clear... Someone called us the virus. Wish CB is longer.
i feel the same as you ghib. too happy and comfortable doing everything at home
It is normal..all of us have the same feeling as you..I becoming more lazy now...since CB..😫

Sg is not that different tbh.

To be honest, I will really miss circuit breaker too... Me too! It's like a staycation with family bonding.
Although im sort of a extrovert, i really loved what i could do during circuit breaker, like watching your videos, and baking and learning a bunch of new stuff...
Me too. Mixed feelings about circuit breaker ends. Past few months were peaceful not many people to snatch for seats, in transport or Food courts etc.
I feel you Ghib, i feel you...
わかります😳私も同じです。仕事以外はほぼ家に籠る生活がストレスでもあり、この状況が終わることへの不安もあります。自分だけの空間て安心するんですよね。
ジブおじのお家動画もローカルツアーも楽しみにしてますね😊
I have similar feeling. I felt during CB I had to deal with myself all the time, this left me some impact that will last long, and I feel part of me changed. Now SG becomes alive again, I also feel everywhere just becomes noisy again.
I'm also thinking about how to 'start a new life' in phase 2...
Haha😂
Mixed feelings too as I’ll miss the light traffic flow when driving from point A to point B is a breeze all day long. I’ll miss the spacious seatings and walking areas when hardly one would bump onto you. I’ll miss the cleaner toilets due to lesser usage and more cleaning(I hope)!
I will miss staying at home and gaming everyday. And seeing mostly empty streets past 10pm. As if the streets are mine. CB rly suits introverts very well. Sucks we have to go back
Your landlord is so positive, I like! Drinking coffee at Ya Kun is a big plus!
動画始まるや否やお菓子食べるとこ斬新w
Same here Ghib-san. I don’t wish for the Circuit Breaker to end.
I think during this CB period, you grew closer with your landlord and others in your household. Bonding through food :)
Staycation yes!! Moreover, alot of hotels are offering discounts for it.
Oh you enjoyed the circuit breaker? My first impression was that you are very sociable and extroverted, and can't wait to be out 😂
Me too ! Mixed feelings.. staying home for 2 months can do my favorite thing /hobby..
I like the tranquility too. It was so peaceful.
私も緊急事態宣言終わらないでほしいって思ってたので気持ちわかります!でも、久々にショッピング出来たのは本当に嬉しかったから、その喜びも感じられると思います✨
またジブ子ちゃん見たいなぁ!
One thing to control for work at office is remember not to fart and burp loudly.. I'm used to it since WFH 😂😂😂😂
Your landlady is too cute :) kopi-kopi
確かに、これまでコロナで静かだった街だったりカフェだったりがうるさくなるの嫌だなぁ。
You can still choose to work indoor even after we enter phase two. You can go out and film whenever you feel bored. You have 100% freedom to choose how you want to work. Simply because, you are a youtuber! =D
Can feel the surrounding air more cleaner during CB period , street is less crowded, hopefully the virus situation getting better soon
I have mixed feelings about it I miss the peace , less hectic going on less rush , but at the same time during cb since my entire family is home and sometimes it's noisy . So as an introvert i have a few friends it won't make a huge differences but miss hanging out with them once in a while !
yay! can't wait for your future uploads! ✨
I will miss the quiet roads... the quiet side of Singapore...
All I can think of that is a pros is meeting my friends, think that's about it....😌
家主さんのファンです🥰 ジブおじさんも家主さんも同居人さんもTake care, wash hand and stay healthy!!
I don't mind if another Circuit Breaker comes again!
The reno work in my area resume, hate it because the sound of drilling and hammering is so noisy.
Before CB was even announce already notice lesser crowds in Restaurants & Orchard Rd on Friday nights.... hope people still be responsible & sensible during phase 2
I don't want it to end too. I save a lot of time on travelling.
The CB has proven itself positive after all! With broader scope of videos and have a mixture of skits home videos and sight seeing. :)
i have mixed feelings too!!! i am able to make the family eat healthy home cook food these few months but from nxt wk onwards, all will be on their own again, all hv to eat out except for wkends. I will miss the time that we spend together these few months. It is still not safe outside and we will hv to he on high alert when we are going to spend so much time out of our home again. it is going to be tiring to hv to worry for all again.
oh no, the crowd again. and everyone also know what's the "real" reason for lifting
SAME.... I WANNA STAY HOME... I don't wanna meet my friends :( I don't wanna go out and spend money
I miss CB because i can spend my time doing my favourite things, and of course never go work can get salary for staying home...
Amazing times we are in, great vid!
I dont want CB to end at all. Im happy staying at home. With CB ending, i have to go out look for a job. I would rather continue on my book i started writing during cb D:
