That crazy vibrato note into the main riff gives me goosebumps every time. One of the hardest/best riffs in rock that's super slept on. The tone is perfection.
He used a nodded marshall for the tone (#36 mod). The other thing used was a roland SRV2000 rack unit for songs like sweetchild o mine and welcome to the jungle.
@@YesJustTia that was his piece of the pie when geffen pays 250 thousand usd before the material… so they get the hell house and some equipemy sorry avout english 🇧🇷
It’s actually an insane amount of gain for the amp and the time being. Also his modded amp used was made so bright and harsh that at loud volumes it was said to feel like you got an icepick through both ears. Of course what you hear in the studio is processed tons, I’m talking about just the sound of his amp through his 4x12 v30s.
@@dba4292 yea, good point. I have a kemper profiler amp and have some slash profiles guys have created using modded Marshall’s in an attempt to recreate his tone, and it’s very bright for sure. It sounds cool in a mix but when I play in isolation I’m typically toning down the treble a bit.
@@maxibillie The 6 original signals for each track are extracted as 96kHz/ 24-bit wav files - Waveform separation splits each signal into 4-6 wav files that are 44.1 kHz/ 24-bit (24-36 files for each song*) - I export 48 kHz/ 24-bit wav files from my DAW - The video software renders the audio at 48 kHz/ 16 bit AAC. * Not all of those files are necessary but a project typically starts out like this: ua-cam.com/video/9N_Icd7jJ3s/v-deo.html then adjustments are made until I don't need the limiter.

So good. So cool to hear slash in isolation. His playing is so clean and uses a lot less gain than many people assume. Good stuff
