Barbara I have followed you for a couple years and really appreciate the way you teach. I am 86 living in assisted living and sharing ZENTANGLE with a few of my friends. I began doing zen in 2013 when I had a tremor from Parkinson’s. I did it with my left hand. Then in 2018 I had DEEP BRAIN SURGERY which stopped my tremor which was then in both hands. I am so grateful not to have the tremor I decided to share ZENTANGLE with other residents as my mission. I am not a CZT but we are just enjoying our once a week gathering and I am proud of their progress. Thank you for your teaching and maybe you have good health for many years.💐👍❤️🌈
Hi Joan! Thank you for following my channel. That's awesome that you're able to share Zentangle with your friends where you live. You're welcome to share anything from my channel. I'm happy that they were able to help with the tremors, but how scary to have deep brain surgery! I hope you're able to keep teaching for many more years! 🥰❤❤❤
I also have Parkinson's and started doing zentangles to help with the tremors. I am happy you have had success with Deep Brain Stimulation....and it's great you share your passion with others 😊
I started in November. It's teaching me to see things differently. That I am able to do it is astounding. I have arthritis in my thumb and shoulder but it does not seem to affect them too much. We go to a monthly class with a CZT. It's so fun!!
Barbara I really appreciate all you do with the videos. I'm just starting but you make me feel like I can do them all. I appreciate your time. Hope you continue healing and feeling well. Thank you again❤
Another big thank you to you. You always inspire me. 100 days, eh? I don't know. But I did these two today along with you, and they're fun. I might do the whole thing. Thanks so much for the links and the list. - Barbara
You’re very welcome, Barb. I do one pattern each day first thing in the morning and I really enjoy it. Some patterns are tricky but it’s fun to work through them. Thanks for following my channel. 🥰❤️
Hi Barbara I love your channel. I also follow both of the person you mention in this video. Love both of them. Have not practice much last year. Getting in the fun of zentangle again. I also do drawing & watercolor of botanical plus procreate Art. I have miss Melinda Barlow do you know if she is ok. Thank you for all your teaching, it is so much fun. Love that there is no music to compete with your voice. Your tone is excellent & to the point. Thanks 🙏🏼 thanks 😊 so much. Many blessings and good health to you & family.
Thank you. 🥰❤️ I’m glad you’re enjoying Zentangle again. I have also missed Melinda and hope she’s doing well. Many blessings to you and your family also. 😊
Hi Barbara, it is really nice to have you back online. I enjoy your videos so much. I hope you continue to feel better and continue to teach zentangle. Thank you again and continue health and please stay warm!
Thank you so much, Sharon. I've enjoyed all of your comments. 🥰❤ I can't imagine -21° 🥶 I start to shiver when it drops below 70° LOL! Happy tangling!! 😊
Hello Barbara. I'm so glad that you're feeling better. Praise be! I love these tangles. I like the botanical too. I'm in Minnesota and it's crazy cold...way below zero. Your Temps are going to be very cold for where you're at. Once again, so glad you're feeling better. You sound great. Blessings to you.
Great to see you again and glad you are feeling better. I have always loved Melinda Barlow’s UA-cam channel. She was one of my first CZT’s to watch when I started in 2014 with Zentangle. Now you are added to the list of my favorites.😀
Hi Donna! Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰 I would say that the main difference between FOF and Henna Drum is in the way that the outside petals are formed. FOF petals are drawn in an almost continuous line around the outside of the flower. For Henna Drum, we draw individual petals that start at the outer aura, form a petal, then it comes back down and ends at the aura. I hope that makes sense. If you put the two patterns next to each other, I think you'll see what I mean. Great question!! ❤
I loved these patterns! Is it too late to start with the 100 days of Tangling? What is a step out? Everything is new to me and I want to do everything, it excites me so much! Thanks for sharing and teaching!
It’s never too late to begin a challenge. These are just prompts to give you new patterns to try. Do you have a Facebook account? That’s where this challenge is listed but I’ve been sharing posts on my channel to show links to step outs.

Wonderful video Barbara! Can you show the difference or explain the difference in FOF and Henna Drum?
