"Holograms" and Pepper's Ghost

Science fiction often informs actual technology. Holograms, real or fake, have become an increasingly common staple in the world of entertainment.
As futuristic as these "holograms" seem, this technology has been around for years. In fact, these aren’t even true holograms, they’re made using an effect called Pepper’s Ghost.
You can replicate these Pepper Ghost "Holograms." All you need is a smartphone and a pyramid "hologram" reflector. You can make a reflector by either:
