My take on the Josh Kerr 1 mile road run, 3"47.9 (10 September 2023)

Here I (Tanis Leonhardi; she/her/hers; of Seattle) talk through the Josh Kerr (of Great Britain), 1 mile road run race at the 2023 5th Avenue Mile in New York City, New York, United States of America (time of 3 minutes and 47.9 seconds in the final on Sunday 10 September 2023). With his time he achieved first place. I provide my take/perspective on his performance and contextualize it in terms of his time being 5.4 seconds faster than the World Athletics (WA) world record in the event (1 mile road run).
