Yep. This change enables me to spend all my bronze on ONE character for gear upgrades, and leveling alts for bronze to get cosmetics and mounts etc. This is a win win!
@@amandagray825 check the armor upgrade vendor. If your account did not frog farm, that npc should have a quest that gives you 3k bronze at level 50, 7k bronze for level 60, and 30k bronze for level 70

Okay, so the scaling explains why as soon as my monk hit 67 he was getting his Dark Iron shit pushed in in instances and getting absolutely dominated on the DPS charts while also having to deal with how all it took was 2 baddies to drop my health down to like, 30% in no time.
I actually enjoyed that huge falloff because I got to see a larger range of progression at 70. I am definitely a masochist with addiction to RPG progression.
For me what was worse is I got almost no xp for killing things or running dungeons. Was getting 2 xp in dungeons and 150 xp for completing them. Only got xp for quests.
I would legitimately welcome the launch drop of TWW after feeling honestly overwhelmed by how much I feel I have to do in 3 months in remix. I personally will not feel it a downgrade to have a reasonable light at the end of the tunnel to just... stop, and play established alts.
the biggest mistake of remix is putting both cosmetics AND gear on the same system aka bronze, because everyone loves to decide between "upgrading this piece of gear or buying 6 mounts" i wouldve put in upgrade tokens for gear

I think remix shows the power of keeping all the content relevant from patch to patch. In remix, every dungeon, raid, rep, and zone is completely relevant and worth doing at max level and gear. I’ve thought for a long time now that wow needs to stop raising the level cap and focus on making all new content going forward in a way that doesn’t invalidate the old, even AFTER doing the new stuff. Guild wars 2 is a worthwhile field trip for wow players to take and experience what an mmo can be like when it doesn’t do what wow does, and every expansion EXPANDS the game rather than replacing everything that came before. Updating the old content for wow to fit this paradigm would obviously take a lot of work, but if they stop raising the level cap and max item level NOW, then it can stop becoming a larger and larger task to fulfill and they can slowly add more and more old content to max level in the future
Minor nit -- this isn't dogfighting, it's evading AAA while pasting a ground target. Which, be it noted, is what I *LOVED* about the old MicroProse F-117 game.
Yeah, it still delivers the three things I absolutely wanted above all: The MoP campaigns, Mounts and Transmogs readily attainable, Blink-and-you're-70 alt leveling Win, win, win. I love it when one of the froggers are in my group, it makes cleaning up the dailies a breeze 😆
I’m UPSET that you can’t get exalted rep with the jinyu pearlfin faction and equally upset that I’ve been given the knowledge of FIRE PALADIN only to know it will be taken away from me at the end of remix and I’ll have to go back to normal Paladin again when I know how much more awesomely epic Paladin can be.

Story mode in raids makes me so happy! Especially for newer players. I remember joining WoW in the last patch of Wrath and levelling my character from vanilla, through TBC and through Wrath. But I had all 3 stories cut off suddenly each time I had to move to the next zone to carry on levelling (so I could catch up to my friends who hda all been playing for a while already). And I will always remember that my main take away was not seeing the end of each story until I got sped through ICC with a raid mount group. This is so awesome. I mean, not so much for me anymore because I raid now but for everyone who is levelling now like I was back in the day :)
This could have been the spine of Deathwing can you imagine flying around a giant dragon dodging his powerful breathattacks while soaring around him and shooting at his back with oure puny little strikes.
So, as far as the complaints about Ward in normals or higher level raid content, if you want a group without it, that's a personal choice. Feel free to run your own raid and knock it out without it. Don't expect the world to stop for you though, if there's a meta-strat people are going to use it. The Froggers helped me get my necklace and turned ToT's dark animus boss into a puddle, one I'd been stuck on for the first full week due to other player's incompetence, mine included. I personally see no problem with the froggers. That said, I also didn't really notice the 67-70 gap in power... I just had too much leech and health as a fury warrior, so I can't really comment on that one. The frogger nerf, however, allowed me to get 2/3 of the big ticket mounts I've been missing that I've been farming weekly since Mists. I'm probably getting my third (the mushan from the mushan world boss) today or tomorrow. All in all, the people crying about the froggers are the ones that want to think that LFR is more than just a way to get threads, gems, and flex your epeen. If you want to actually raid, make a heroic run and see how far ya get with puggers. I certainly tried this and well... Terrace is an unforgiving mistress lol. As far as the upgrades/gear purchases being the same currency, it's a farm and that's the point. You've got a choice to make: you can either power up or you can buy mogs. That's not bad gameplay, that's intentional. There's also a cap on how high gear can go, so it's not an infinite bronze funnel. You can just focus on one and then the other, though I recommend power first. My solution is that I've got 4 alts I've just been doing daily LFG runs on. Since they added the EXP bonus to the LFR, 2 of them have gotten to 70 easily and I was able to purchase their class cosmetics and several mounts on each, including the Kor'kron Juggernaut and the Sha of Anger noodle. Thus, I haven't HAD to waste a single bronze on mounts on my main, though I did anyways for some of the cheaper ones. There are bad bits though. Here's the "gripes" I've personally had. 1. It makes normal WoW nowhere near as exciting. My warrior in retail was pretty decently gears (heroic raid), but now they feel like a slow baby hitting things with a foam hammer. :< 2. Some of the open world stuff isn't doable with a friend as things just explode when we look at them and loot isn't shared unless both people get a hit off. 3. You HAVE to buy the open world rare-spawn dropping toys/mounts. I get that I can just swap back to retail to try for 'em, but dang if I don't want to lol 4. With things exploding into a fine red mist if I breath on them, rare spawns drop too quick. If they added what the did in retail and made the mobs take 1% damage for the first 5 seconds of combat, that'd fix it, but as it is they just pop like bubbles. 5. We can't mail alts gems, and have to use a second person to transfer gems between them. As far as tips and pointers go, here are some things I wish I'd known on my first char: 1. If you're taking it slow, don't worry about mounts/mogs. There'll be plenty of time for those later, just focus on powering up your gear and keeping it current. 2. Don't mess with the warbringers. They don't scale down and will destroy you and everything you love. They do still drop their rep tokens though, which is a fast way to get some exalted reps. 3. Save the rares/exploration achievements for when you're 70 if possible. All bonus bronze and threads are level-based, so the higher level you are when you get the achievements associated with these, the more you get. 4. Hold on to all blues and epics you get while leveling. You can upgrade these and keep them current, and they'll be much better than any same-level green, provided their stats are good. 5. Leech doesn't count as healing according to the tinker gems, so don't expect to get bonuses from them if you're not a healing class. 6. Gems are tradeable. If you are leveling with a friend and they've decided to go full crit and you want full haste, feel free to trade between each other! 7. As soon as you hit lvl 25, you can start doing LFR. Doing each wing you're able to daily gives you a 7% bonus to your experience gained, and as you level more and more wings of various raids will unlock for you. These go by pretty quickly now, so I recommend you knock those out before anything else each day! 8. There are special mogs/recolors that only drop in the raids, so make sure you're knocking those out daily if you can. 9. Normal and Heroic raid lockouts are daily, and you can only enter one of them, not both. 10. Scrolls of Cleansing get rid of most debuffs and I recommend putting them on your hot bar. Most healers are too busy DPSing to keep track of things like dispels, and the scaling can be weird so some things can ramp up damage quickly if you're not vigilant. 11. Rings, Trinkets, and Necklaces come from achievements, and you can unlock them through LFG with the exception of the normal raids necklace and the lvl 70 trinket. Feel free to queue for heroic scenarios and dungeons to knock those out fast, as now they unlock for the whole acct and can be purchased on alts going forward. Bonus tip: Rogues, you can get double vanish if you pop it on your boots. It counts as a normal vanish for all intents and purposes, and you get all your stealth bonuses like normal. Druids too I imagine, though haven't tested yet. Best of luck in your remix and I hope you get all your rewards by the end!
Tip correction: Mogu'shan vaults, heart of fear, terrace of endless springs and throne of thunder have shared lockouts between normal and heroic [Only one difficulty per day]. Siege doesn't. Siege is the raid they changed raiding to have flex difficulty, and be separate lockouts. You can do normal, heroic and if you really wanted to, mythic every day.
I really, really wish that the Cloak of Infinite Potential just had a full-on Artifact Weapon UI that tracked unlocked Tinker Powers and allowed you to customize your loadout without having to constantly maintain individual gear items. The gear management while levelling honestly made me thankful to the frog farmers - because I levelled a few alts without ever even socketing powers or upgrading my gear. Scaling is just something I don't like in general. In the Remix, I didn't like getting weaker as I level up - I disliked going from really strong in instanced content at level 10 to slogging it through, even if I did bother to upgrade my gear. But even outside of Remix, I just miss the sense of having mastered/out-grown a zone. I miss feeling like a god among men; the feeling of having grown in power. But I've loved returning to my favourite expansion. I hope I get the opportunity to relive Legion in the same way, one day.
I got to remix after the problems were ironed out and have had a blast. I do think there will be a problem that lasts beyond the remix event: the standard game seeing a surge in tank and heal players who have absolutely no idea how to actually tank and heal without the crazy scaling/tinker gems etc. dungeon finder may be a bit of a headache for group quality in early War Within. (Well, more than usual anyway)
I am curious if they did the token thing where if say clearing a heroic raid would give a token that upgrades a piece of loot. That way you can still use bronze for cosmetics and mounts etc, but still not have an abusable system to gain power
9:52 maybe “most” players, but anyone who rejoined dragonflight more than halfway through was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to do. Remix is kind of the same. The change of pace will actually be welcome (as long as the story is good).
The event goes on for 90 days. If you do all your raids and dailies, you can get almost 2 upgrade tiers per day. Sure, gear should've been put on another token besides bronze but ultimately it's not that big a deal. Everyone eventually becomes overpowered, and it feels good when you hit 556 on all your pieces and can hit for 80 million glacial spikes. You have plenty of time to get all the transmog you want, it all depends on whether you want to invest your time into levelling multiple characters at first, or get a fully geared character that you can rock the DPS meters on. Bosses have finite health, if the entire mode is to 'become overpowered on an unprecedented scale' then no matter whether it's now or 60 days from now, people are going to leave you in the dust one way or another.
I suspect some of the observations and data the WOW devs have on the effects of long term "confinement" and attempts to mitigate these issues could be very interesting fodder for psychological research much like the data on the blood plague incident and may be very valuable.
Okay hear me out - Aerial combat raid boss. Make it so that the encounter is only accessible after the first three bosses are down, make it so that the fight is completely optional, and make it so that the fight drops no gear, only cosmetics. If people like it, design more and new aerial combat raid bosses in the future with actual gear rewards. If people don't like it, they actually *can* just not do it and won't lose out on anything.
My biggest problem with the Transmog vendors is that the game allows you to purchase an item repeatedly, and use it in your inventory repeatedly, to no benefit. If they changed ALL the transmog and mount vendors to function like the Class Appearance Vendor, where once you have the thing it disappears from the vendor list, that would be far better. So you know what you've got already, you are only concerned about what you don't have. Or if they worked like the Gem vendor. When you have all the Tinker gems, that option is no longer allowed. Still visible, but you can't buy them. The vendor tells you that buying this item is a waste of time. This is my biggest complaint. Not the Copper gain, as i am certain I will get all the Copper I need to get all the stuff I want.
Wow can absolutely do starfox style combat now, we just need some dodge moves like do a Barrel Roll! dragonriding has been something I've wanted for so many years in wow and I love it :D
Gotta say Tali I agree with you 100% on MoP Remix, I ham loving the shit out of it. I don't have the a lot of free time to min-max, I have really loved jumping in for an hour in the evenings here and there. The new gearing system with stat gems and tinker gems is honestly the gear change up I didn't think would change the gameplay much but I couldn't have been more wrong. How much fun it is to have my Paladin 'Heroic Leap' into a battle and then a 'Meteorstorm' triggers!!!! Its an incredible feeling. Not to mention being able to do the raids while levelling. Its so much fun. The players that min-max and exploit mechanics to "win" I genuinely feel sorry for. Its like they've forgotten wow is a game and not a race to say "Hey look at me I won the game of wow" 🤣😂🤣
I wonder if it was planned or serindipity that we as players get a tonne of time with young Anduin in Mists and he will be a major player in the expacs moving forward
played remix for a while and it basically whetted my appetite for panda classic, and then made me not want to spoil it any further, so I haven't logged back in since cata classic launched
The thing that has always irritated me about some frog farmers (not all mind you) is that after Blizz put in the threads for LFR they all started queueing for it.. as healers and running as DPS. The amount of times I have seen people refusing to queue as DPS to get a faster queue time is insufferable. It's an abuse of in-game mechanics to skip a wait time everyone else has because you just think you're better than everyone else.
I didn't do any farms and won't in Remix, but I think the ward nerf was out of bounds. It's supposed to be a silly OP mode... oh, but not toooo OP I guess. I did a run with a ward group, it wasn't unfun, a bit goofy, but how did Blizz not predict people would figure out a cheese method? For a mode about collecting and super fast alt leveling that's time limited, some of it feels way too tamped down.
I didnt frog, but I didnt care that other people did. The people who hated the froggers were the ones who wanted to top the dps meters. I wish the gear upgrade cost is significantly decreased, but other than that, I'm very happy playing remix.
I'm a little worried for War Within now if you said the story campaign is short. 😬 That was one of my main issues with Dragonflight, was that the main story felt way too short to play through.
re: aerial combat... Have they finally fixed the issues with flying through hoops causing the game to lag out and the race to crash? Because I've been waiting since MoP for them to fix it. And I still can't finish the race quests on the Dragon Isles because it's STILL broken. They had dailies in Legion using this tech and decided to put it at the forefront of an entire expansion and have never bothered to get their shit together and FIX the racing mechanics. I mean, it's only coming up on TWELVE YEARS. 🤦♀ ETA: There's already a raid boss that required dragonriding and it was a shitshow. Same reasons, I would go the right way and lag out and die.
Unfortunately with the way froggers were able to grind all their gear to 556 ilvl, their cloaks aren’t even the issue anymore. It’s that they basically skipped a huge grindy time wall the rest of us are locked behind and blizzard seems reluctant to make that grind any easier or specifically nerf upgrade costs for some reason. They really need to just bite the bullet and make it easier for the rest of us to max characters rather than trying to nerf cloaks selectively or give out gift that reward a fraction of the bronze that was available for short period of time. That level of power needs to be attainable by the rest of us now that it is a part of the game, otherwise the community will continue to be super gatekeepy and make the group content feel like trash
The frog people aren't even the worst culprits of farms and exploits. It was the shortest lived farm and unless you were there you dont know how bad it was to get tags instead of exploiting Gates instance or just doing the first room or Mogushan Vaults. Reddit is just obsessed with the Froggers, which is why you are still seeing such OP people in damage meters.. Blizz doesn't feel obliged to nerf anyone other than froggers cos it's all you people can say.
What if they added an expansion where it launched with like 3000 quests and people didn't know all the lore yet due to sheer volume and had to play through it? Or, at worst, it's just a lot of fun content to do because who doesn't like questing?
Pandaria still is my favorite expansion. I was so happy to play through it again until I discovered that gear slot wall. Due to rl stuff dungeons/raids don't work for me anymore. Being unable to get rings and neck outside of dungeons/raids ended remix for me. Follower dungeons this retail were an amazing fun solution for me personally at this stage in my real life in terms of being able to complete stories without having to wait for subsequent expansions to be able to solo. Putting gear slots behind a dungeon/raid wall made this remix a nonstarter for me. What were they thinking?
First of all, the rings, necklace and trinkets add up to less than 1% of your stats at max gear. They are irrelevant. So is the cape. Second, being expected to do dungeon and raid content for gear has, and always will be, an expectation for the game. It's a core part of the game. They are always going to add quests for raiders, rewards for raiders and gear for raiders. It's not unreasonable to expect you to do INCREDIBLY. EASY. CONTENT. Content that my character is now powerful enough to literally walk through. Not a single ability, just passive procs, is enough to clear every mob in every dungeon and every normal raid. But sure, it's too much for you to sign up, or create, one of the 30+ groups in LFG all day, every day for an INCREDIBLY. MINOR. UGPRADE. Like 10k stats out of 3-400k by the end of the gear progression. And they never improve. Or spend a few days upgrading your gear, and solo it. Almost every heroic raid boss is soloable, let alone normal.
@@SupachargedGaming The brain injury debuff has been quite the challenge over the last 5 years. I get what you are saying...I've done dungeons and raids...I have Hand of Adal title earned not paid for and a couple of ahead of the curves pre brain injury. But at this point I think it is best for Captain Garrick in the follower dungeons to do the carry than expect people of the realm to do that in dungeons/raids for me. What is easy before brain injury is sometimes nearly undoable after. I've been incrementally recovering over the last 5 years but it is slow going. Discovering the ring necklace thing was not on a good brain day.
Ahh yes, having to deal with "edit mode" rather than just using bartender, which has my profile set up, and has been optimizing its functionality for nearly 20 years is "fun". Not using the gem addon is "fun". Not knowing the value of the choices you make... whether a gem is actually doing anything for you (Hello, brittle, you bizarre gem that just randomly functions for some people and not others...) is "fun". DPS meters are a useful tool. If you don't want them, fine, but don't consider yourself high and mighty for it. You are just screwing yourself over.
People severely overestimate the impact of frogging imo, especially at this point in time. Yes it was OP and had to be nerfed, but people seem to think that 10% of the players did it for a few hours and then had maxed out gear. While in reality it was probably less than 0,1% that truly grinded it out, while a lot of others simply played the shit out of the game for the first week to also become stupid OP. I've been reported for cheating in LFR for having max gear 9 days into the event, purely from playing a shit ton btw, by some dude with a fraction of the play time, who was mad he didn't have the same gear without putting in any of the effort.
I went for the mounts first. Learning that the 38.5k price tag is the EXACT amount for each full tier. I sacrificed four tiers to get the remaining cloud serpent s ive never acquired
I've loved remix. I play too much and have reached max ilvl and gotten a powerful cloak just doing daily content and raids. It's a blast being able to nuke aoe packs from orbit and soloing heroic raid bosses for friends. It would be nice to be able to nerf yourself to play with friends when you don't want to be op though
Remix would be great if they just didn't try to limit and instead just tried to push things out. Like instead of nerfing frog farmers and trying to handle everything, just increase the max stats the cloak can have, make it easy to get to where frog farmers were and then slow down (thus squishing the current curve to almost nothing and putting everyone back on the same page) and make mythic mode somewhat harder

If Blizz is rushing players through leveling content to minimize the amount of time players have to spend in their new world and zones that, to me, is such a massive fucking L. I’m very skeptical about WW so far to be honest, really hope the patches take us somewhere cool. So far only Hallowfall has people excited like nearly every zone in BfA did. And the nerubian palace is Suremar like, but Suremar city was one location in a zone full of vikings, ruined forests, and, oh ya, underground spider buildings.

I just really want mounted combat in general.. no more gimicks. No more mounted combat tied to only quests. I also would hate it if it was only something we could do in raids and instances.
There's also the fact that MoP remix has 4 .X patches worth of content. And there's no way War Within will have 4 .X content patches, we'll be lucky if they have 3.
Watched this yesterday, before the May 29 hotfix came out. Boy howdy, in that hotfix Blizzard took the hot mess that is Remix and made it a dumpster fire. The US forum is more that your typical feces spectacle, it's now an extraordinary feces spectacle. On aerial combat: No, thank you (emphatically). I already spend a third of my Dragonflight time with a bin bag over my lap.
Remix has been a ton of fun, froggers have been a plague and yet many other UA-camrs continue to promote mindless grinding areas. I am concerned Blizzard will cull npc's of meaningful drops in the future. Splitting currencies between collections and gear also sounds like a better idea for future Remix (yes pls, more Remix at the end of expansions). No repairs, cache keeping up with your gear sounds like a great way to level in the future, as well as covering all collections and the lore in an expansion sound like a good way to revamp leveling for new players or new alts in the future, yes pls. I am concerned about the lack of campaigning in TWW, especially we don't need to do it more than once. I hope the lore raids option is available at the same time as LFR too: why should we have to wait? If anything it MIGHT invite more to take part in LFR.
Blizz put themselves in a really awkward position. Remix set the bar and image if War Within doesn't reach that? Let's hope they don't drop the ball on this one. I mean, Blizz has dropped the ball so many times, I'm thinking their favourite pass time is basketball?

People complaining about "froggers" being overpowered clearly don't know what the mode is about. The entire point of the mode is to become overpowered, sure some people did it more quickly than others but a month or so from now everyone will be doing crazy numbers because that's what the mode is all about. Complaining that people are 1 shotting bosses is like complaining that ice-cream is cold... that's exactly what's suppose to happen.
I wish this aerial combat thing had come back in Wrath, when they promised it and I still could have enjoyed it, before catastrophic nerve damage to my face made me one of the people who simply cannot do dynamic flight. I hope the quests have some kind of accessibility mode, because honestly--I know not all the content in the game is for everyone. But it sucks when it's because they lock you out for a disability instead of just a time or skill issue.
Inability to dragonride is absolutely a skill issue. Point yourself in the direction you want to go, and press spacebar. If you can press the spacebar, you can dragonride well enough to traverse around. Maybe not the gold challenge races, but you aren't missing anything important there and you said it yourself... Not all the content is for everyone. It's literally easier to dragonride than old fly. Point in a direction, press the easiest button on a keyboard/mouse - the spacebar. Compare that to old flying, where you'd point yourself in the direction you want to go... and HOLD spacebar. Then click to move, press numlock or hold down the W key to move. All that has been replaced by "press spacebar a few times". All the spaces between the words in these "dragonriding too hard" posts are like months of dragonriding fuel, each. Save your words. Use your spacebars efficiently.

I throughly love this remix, the player power is completely inconsequential for me it's all about leveling alts and collecting stuff, the gear is very temporary the mounts are forever. Also the free 40k is per character u get to 70.
Let people have fun, stop comparing yourself to Froggers, that's just stupidity. How you feel about Froggers is on you Tal, "Comparison is the thief of Joy" - note I am not a Frogger and when I am on a run with one that lasts mere minutes, I loot and thank them afterwards.
Grinding bronze = stronger armor, way more powerful then a cape long term... The mode is for fun though, so it shouldn't really matter since it'll be gone in a few months

I feel like I will have given up on Remix long before The War Within shows up. I dont actually want to grind for 2 months after I get through all the quests. And I really dont want to do it on more than one character just for transmogs. So... I dont know if its in much danger of making the next expansion feel weak by the time it lands.
You DONT have to collect everything. Get what you want then dip. Thats what I did lmao I got the remaining cloud serpents I didn’t have got a couple of the unique mogs then left.
If mounted combat doesn't involve my griffin-mounted dwarves throwing hammers at enemies like true Wildhammers, I will be sorely disappointed.

@@amandagray825 check the armor upgrade vendor. If your account did not frog farm, that npc should have a quest that gives you 3k bronze at level 50, 7k bronze for level 60, and 30k bronze for level 70

Okay, so the scaling explains why as soon as my monk hit 67 he was getting his Dark Iron shit pushed in in instances and getting absolutely dominated on the DPS charts while also having to deal with how all it took was 2 baddies to drop my health down to like, 30% in no time.

I actually enjoyed that huge falloff because I got to see a larger range of progression at 70. I am definitely a masochist with addiction to RPG progression.
For me what was worse is I got almost no xp for killing things or running dungeons. Was getting 2 xp in dungeons and 150 xp for completing them. Only got xp for quests.
I would legitimately welcome the launch drop of TWW after feeling honestly overwhelmed by how much I feel I have to do in 3 months in remix. I personally will not feel it a downgrade to have a reasonable light at the end of the tunnel to just... stop, and play established alts.

I think remix shows the power of keeping all the content relevant from patch to patch. In remix, every dungeon, raid, rep, and zone is completely relevant and worth doing at max level and gear.
I’ve thought for a long time now that wow needs to stop raising the level cap and focus on making all new content going forward in a way that doesn’t invalidate the old, even AFTER doing the new stuff.
Guild wars 2 is a worthwhile field trip for wow players to take and experience what an mmo can be like when it doesn’t do what wow does, and every expansion EXPANDS the game rather than replacing everything that came before.
Updating the old content for wow to fit this paradigm would obviously take a lot of work, but if they stop raising the level cap and max item level NOW, then it can stop becoming a larger and larger task to fulfill and they can slowly add more and more old content to max level in the future

Yeah, I remember thinking recently when I played through it was a great example of the atmosphere and vibe.
Story mode in raids makes me so happy! Especially for newer players. I remember joining WoW in the last patch of Wrath and levelling my character from vanilla, through TBC and through Wrath. But I had all 3 stories cut off suddenly each time I had to move to the next zone to carry on levelling (so I could catch up to my friends who hda all been playing for a while already). And I will always remember that my main take away was not seeing the end of each story until I got sped through ICC with a raid mount group. This is so awesome. I mean, not so much for me anymore because I raid now but for everyone who is levelling now like I was back in the day :)

So, as far as the complaints about Ward in normals or higher level raid content, if you want a group without it, that's a personal choice. Feel free to run your own raid and knock it out without it. Don't expect the world to stop for you though, if there's a meta-strat people are going to use it. The Froggers helped me get my necklace and turned ToT's dark animus boss into a puddle, one I'd been stuck on for the first full week due to other player's incompetence, mine included. I personally see no problem with the froggers. That said, I also didn't really notice the 67-70 gap in power... I just had too much leech and health as a fury warrior, so I can't really comment on that one. The frogger nerf, however, allowed me to get 2/3 of the big ticket mounts I've been missing that I've been farming weekly since Mists. I'm probably getting my third (the mushan from the mushan world boss) today or tomorrow. All in all, the people crying about the froggers are the ones that want to think that LFR is more than just a way to get threads, gems, and flex your epeen. If you want to actually raid, make a heroic run and see how far ya get with puggers. I certainly tried this and well... Terrace is an unforgiving mistress lol.
As far as the upgrades/gear purchases being the same currency, it's a farm and that's the point. You've got a choice to make: you can either power up or you can buy mogs. That's not bad gameplay, that's intentional. There's also a cap on how high gear can go, so it's not an infinite bronze funnel. You can just focus on one and then the other, though I recommend power first. My solution is that I've got 4 alts I've just been doing daily LFG runs on. Since they added the EXP bonus to the LFR, 2 of them have gotten to 70 easily and I was able to purchase their class cosmetics and several mounts on each, including the Kor'kron Juggernaut and the Sha of Anger noodle. Thus, I haven't HAD to waste a single bronze on mounts on my main, though I did anyways for some of the cheaper ones.
There are bad bits though. Here's the "gripes" I've personally had.
1. It makes normal WoW nowhere near as exciting. My warrior in retail was pretty decently gears (heroic raid), but now they feel like a slow baby hitting things with a foam hammer. :<
2. Some of the open world stuff isn't doable with a friend as things just explode when we look at them and loot isn't shared unless both people get a hit off.
3. You HAVE to buy the open world rare-spawn dropping toys/mounts. I get that I can just swap back to retail to try for 'em, but dang if I don't want to lol
4. With things exploding into a fine red mist if I breath on them, rare spawns drop too quick. If they added what the did in retail and made the mobs take 1% damage for the first 5 seconds of combat, that'd fix it, but as it is they just pop like bubbles.
5. We can't mail alts gems, and have to use a second person to transfer gems between them.
As far as tips and pointers go, here are some things I wish I'd known on my first char:
1. If you're taking it slow, don't worry about mounts/mogs. There'll be plenty of time for those later, just focus on powering up your gear and keeping it current.
2. Don't mess with the warbringers. They don't scale down and will destroy you and everything you love. They do still drop their rep tokens though, which is a fast way to get some exalted reps.
3. Save the rares/exploration achievements for when you're 70 if possible. All bonus bronze and threads are level-based, so the higher level you are when you get the achievements associated with these, the more you get.
4. Hold on to all blues and epics you get while leveling. You can upgrade these and keep them current, and they'll be much better than any same-level green, provided their stats are good.
5. Leech doesn't count as healing according to the tinker gems, so don't expect to get bonuses from them if you're not a healing class.
6. Gems are tradeable. If you are leveling with a friend and they've decided to go full crit and you want full haste, feel free to trade between each other!
7. As soon as you hit lvl 25, you can start doing LFR. Doing each wing you're able to daily gives you a 7% bonus to your experience gained, and as you level more and more wings of various raids will unlock for you. These go by pretty quickly now, so I recommend you knock those out before anything else each day!
8. There are special mogs/recolors that only drop in the raids, so make sure you're knocking those out daily if you can.
9. Normal and Heroic raid lockouts are daily, and you can only enter one of them, not both.
10. Scrolls of Cleansing get rid of most debuffs and I recommend putting them on your hot bar. Most healers are too busy DPSing to keep track of things like dispels, and the scaling can be weird so some things can ramp up damage quickly if you're not vigilant.
11. Rings, Trinkets, and Necklaces come from achievements, and you can unlock them through LFG with the exception of the normal raids necklace and the lvl 70 trinket. Feel free to queue for heroic scenarios and dungeons to knock those out fast, as now they unlock for the whole acct and can be purchased on alts going forward.
Bonus tip: Rogues, you can get double vanish if you pop it on your boots. It counts as a normal vanish for all intents and purposes, and you get all your stealth bonuses like normal. Druids too I imagine, though haven't tested yet.

Tip correction: Mogu'shan vaults, heart of fear, terrace of endless springs and throne of thunder have shared lockouts between normal and heroic [Only one difficulty per day]. Siege doesn't. Siege is the raid they changed raiding to have flex difficulty, and be separate lockouts. You can do normal, heroic and if you really wanted to, mythic every day.

I really, really wish that the Cloak of Infinite Potential just had a full-on Artifact Weapon UI that tracked unlocked Tinker Powers and allowed you to customize your loadout without having to constantly maintain individual gear items. The gear management while levelling honestly made me thankful to the frog farmers - because I levelled a few alts without ever even socketing powers or upgrading my gear.
Scaling is just something I don't like in general. In the Remix, I didn't like getting weaker as I level up - I disliked going from really strong in instanced content at level 10 to slogging it through, even if I did bother to upgrade my gear. But even outside of Remix, I just miss the sense of having mastered/out-grown a zone. I miss feeling like a god among men; the feeling of having grown in power.
But I've loved returning to my favourite expansion. I hope I get the opportunity to relive Legion in the same way, one day.
As someone who mostly just does LFR raids to keep experience the story, mostly; I am very interested in this story mode

I got to remix after the problems were ironed out and have had a blast. I do think there will be a problem that lasts beyond the remix event: the standard game seeing a surge in tank and heal players who have absolutely no idea how to actually tank and heal without the crazy scaling/tinker gems etc. dungeon finder may be a bit of a headache for group quality in early War Within. (Well, more than usual anyway)
I am curious if they did the token thing where if say clearing a heroic raid would give a token that upgrades a piece of loot. That way you can still use bronze for cosmetics and mounts etc, but still not have an abusable system to gain power

9:52 maybe “most” players, but anyone who rejoined dragonflight more than halfway through was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to do. Remix is kind of the same. The change of pace will actually be welcome (as long as the story is good).
The event goes on for 90 days. If you do all your raids and dailies, you can get almost 2 upgrade tiers per day. Sure, gear should've been put on another token besides bronze but ultimately it's not that big a deal. Everyone eventually becomes overpowered, and it feels good when you hit 556 on all your pieces and can hit for 80 million glacial spikes. You have plenty of time to get all the transmog you want, it all depends on whether you want to invest your time into levelling multiple characters at first, or get a fully geared character that you can rock the DPS meters on.
Bosses have finite health, if the entire mode is to 'become overpowered on an unprecedented scale' then no matter whether it's now or 60 days from now, people are going to leave you in the dust one way or another.

I suspect some of the observations and data the WOW devs have on the effects of long term "confinement" and attempts to mitigate these issues could be very interesting fodder for psychological research much like the data on the blood plague incident and may be very valuable.

Okay hear me out - Aerial combat raid boss. Make it so that the encounter is only accessible after the first three bosses are down, make it so that the fight is completely optional, and make it so that the fight drops no gear, only cosmetics. If people like it, design more and new aerial combat raid bosses in the future with actual gear rewards. If people don't like it, they actually *can* just not do it and won't lose out on anything.
I think Tali perfectly matches my remix sentiment. Did Blizz massively f*ck up? Yep. Is this still fun as hell? Yep.

My biggest problem with the Transmog vendors is that the game allows you to purchase an item repeatedly, and use it in your inventory repeatedly, to no benefit.
If they changed ALL the transmog and mount vendors to function like the Class Appearance Vendor, where once you have the thing it disappears from the vendor list, that would be far better. So you know what you've got already, you are only concerned about what you don't have.
Or if they worked like the Gem vendor. When you have all the Tinker gems, that option is no longer allowed. Still visible, but you can't buy them. The vendor tells you that buying this item is a waste of time.
This is my biggest complaint. Not the Copper gain, as i am certain I will get all the Copper I need to get all the stuff I want.

Gotta say Tali I agree with you 100% on MoP Remix, I ham loving the shit out of it. I don't have the a lot of free time to min-max, I have really loved jumping in for an hour in the evenings here and there. The new gearing system with stat gems and tinker gems is honestly the gear change up I didn't think would change the gameplay much but I couldn't have been more wrong. How much fun it is to have my Paladin 'Heroic Leap' into a battle and then a 'Meteorstorm' triggers!!!! Its an incredible feeling. Not to mention being able to do the raids while levelling. Its so much fun. The players that min-max and exploit mechanics to "win" I genuinely feel sorry for. Its like they've forgotten wow is a game and not a race to say "Hey look at me I won the game of wow" 🤣😂🤣

played remix for a while and it basically whetted my appetite for panda classic, and then made me not want to spoil it any further, so I haven't logged back in since cata classic launched
The thing that has always irritated me about some frog farmers (not all mind you) is that after Blizz put in the threads for LFR they all started queueing for it.. as healers and running as DPS. The amount of times I have seen people refusing to queue as DPS to get a faster queue time is insufferable. It's an abuse of in-game mechanics to skip a wait time everyone else has because you just think you're better than everyone else.
I didn't do any farms and won't in Remix, but I think the ward nerf was out of bounds. It's supposed to be a silly OP mode... oh, but not toooo OP I guess. I did a run with a ward group, it wasn't unfun, a bit goofy, but how did Blizz not predict people would figure out a cheese method? For a mode about collecting and super fast alt leveling that's time limited, some of it feels way too tamped down.
I didnt frog, but I didnt care that other people did. The people who hated the froggers were the ones who wanted to top the dps meters. I wish the gear upgrade cost is significantly decreased, but other than that, I'm very happy playing remix.
The problem with the Katina Mission is that it really wants to be an attacking Necropolis.
I'm a little worried for War Within now if you said the story campaign is short. 😬 That was one of my main issues with Dragonflight, was that the main story felt way too short to play through.
re: aerial combat... Have they finally fixed the issues with flying through hoops causing the game to lag out and the race to crash? Because I've been waiting since MoP for them to fix it. And I still can't finish the race quests on the Dragon Isles because it's STILL broken. They had dailies in Legion using this tech and decided to put it at the forefront of an entire expansion and have never bothered to get their shit together and FIX the racing mechanics. I mean, it's only coming up on TWELVE YEARS. 🤦♀
ETA: There's already a raid boss that required dragonriding and it was a shitshow. Same reasons, I would go the right way and lag out and die.
Unfortunately with the way froggers were able to grind all their gear to 556 ilvl, their cloaks aren’t even the issue anymore. It’s that they basically skipped a huge grindy time wall the rest of us are locked behind and blizzard seems reluctant to make that grind any easier or specifically nerf upgrade costs for some reason. They really need to just bite the bullet and make it easier for the rest of us to max characters rather than trying to nerf cloaks selectively or give out gift that reward a fraction of the bronze that was available for short period of time. That level of power needs to be attainable by the rest of us now that it is a part of the game, otherwise the community will continue to be super gatekeepy and make the group content feel like trash
The frog people aren't even the worst culprits of farms and exploits. It was the shortest lived farm and unless you were there you dont know how bad it was to get tags instead of exploiting Gates instance or just doing the first room or Mogushan Vaults. Reddit is just obsessed with the Froggers, which is why you are still seeing such OP people in damage meters.. Blizz doesn't feel obliged to nerf anyone other than froggers cos it's all you people can say.

Pandaria still is my favorite expansion. I was so happy to play through it again until I discovered that gear slot wall. Due to rl stuff dungeons/raids don't work for me anymore. Being unable to get rings and neck outside of dungeons/raids ended remix for me. Follower dungeons this retail were an amazing fun solution for me personally at this stage in my real life in terms of being able to complete stories without having to wait for subsequent expansions to be able to solo. Putting gear slots behind a dungeon/raid wall made this remix a nonstarter for me. What were they thinking?
First of all, the rings, necklace and trinkets add up to less than 1% of your stats at max gear. They are irrelevant. So is the cape. Second, being expected to do dungeon and raid content for gear has, and always will be, an expectation for the game. It's a core part of the game. They are always going to add quests for raiders, rewards for raiders and gear for raiders. It's not unreasonable to expect you to do INCREDIBLY. EASY. CONTENT. Content that my character is now powerful enough to literally walk through. Not a single ability, just passive procs, is enough to clear every mob in every dungeon and every normal raid. But sure, it's too much for you to sign up, or create, one of the 30+ groups in LFG all day, every day for an INCREDIBLY. MINOR. UGPRADE. Like 10k stats out of 3-400k by the end of the gear progression. And they never improve.
Or spend a few days upgrading your gear, and solo it. Almost every heroic raid boss is soloable, let alone normal.

I get what you are saying...I've done dungeons and raids...I have Hand of Adal title earned not paid for and a couple of ahead of the curves pre brain injury. But at this point I think it is best for Captain Garrick in the follower dungeons to do the carry than expect people of the realm to do that in dungeons/raids for me. What is easy before brain injury is sometimes nearly undoable after. I've been incrementally recovering over the last 5 years but it is slow going. Discovering the ring necklace thing was not on a good brain day.

Not knowing the value of the choices you make... whether a gem is actually doing anything for you (Hello, brittle, you bizarre gem that just randomly functions for some people and not others...) is "fun".
DPS meters are a useful tool. If you don't want them, fine, but don't consider yourself high and mighty for it. You are just screwing yourself over.
People severely overestimate the impact of frogging imo, especially at this point in time. Yes it was OP and had to be nerfed, but people seem to think that 10% of the players did it for a few hours and then had maxed out gear. While in reality it was probably less than 0,1% that truly grinded it out, while a lot of others simply played the shit out of the game for the first week to also become stupid OP. I've been reported for cheating in LFR for having max gear 9 days into the event, purely from playing a shit ton btw, by some dude with a fraction of the play time, who was mad he didn't have the same gear without putting in any of the effort.
I went for the mounts first. Learning that the 38.5k price tag is the EXACT amount for each full tier. I sacrificed four tiers to get the remaining cloud serpent s ive never acquired
I've loved remix. I play too much and have reached max ilvl and gotten a powerful cloak just doing daily content and raids. It's a blast being able to nuke aoe packs from orbit and soloing heroic raid bosses for friends. It would be nice to be able to nerf yourself to play with friends when you don't want to be op though
Remix would be great if they just didn't try to limit and instead just tried to push things out.
Like instead of nerfing frog farmers and trying to handle everything, just increase the max stats the cloak can have, make it easy to get to where frog farmers were and then slow down (thus squishing the current curve to almost nothing and putting everyone back on the same page) and make mythic mode somewhat harder

If Blizz is rushing players through leveling content to minimize the amount of time players have to spend in their new world and zones that, to me, is such a massive fucking L. I’m very skeptical about WW so far to be honest, really hope the patches take us somewhere cool. So far only Hallowfall has people excited like nearly every zone in BfA did. And the nerubian palace is Suremar like, but Suremar city was one location in a zone full of vikings, ruined forests, and, oh ya, underground spider buildings.

Watched this yesterday, before the May 29 hotfix came out. Boy howdy, in that hotfix Blizzard took the hot mess that is Remix and made it a dumpster fire. The US forum is more that your typical feces spectacle, it's now an extraordinary feces spectacle. On aerial combat: No, thank you (emphatically). I already spend a third of my Dragonflight time with a bin bag over my lap.
Remix has been a ton of fun, froggers have been a plague and yet many other UA-camrs continue to promote mindless grinding areas. I am concerned Blizzard will cull npc's of meaningful drops in the future. Splitting currencies between collections and gear also sounds like a better idea for future Remix (yes pls, more Remix at the end of expansions). No repairs, cache keeping up with your gear sounds like a great way to level in the future, as well as covering all collections and the lore in an expansion sound like a good way to revamp leveling for new players or new alts in the future, yes pls. I am concerned about the lack of campaigning in TWW, especially we don't need to do it more than once. I hope the lore raids option is available at the same time as LFR too: why should we have to wait? If anything it MIGHT invite more to take part in LFR.
Blizz put themselves in a really awkward position. Remix set the bar and image if War Within doesn't reach that? Let's hope they don't drop the ball on this one. I mean, Blizz has dropped the ball so many times, I'm thinking their favourite pass time is basketball?

Literally spent all my bronze on transmog and mounts. Who actually even cares about min maxing on this version of the game, it’s insane.
People complaining about "froggers" being overpowered clearly don't know what the mode is about. The entire point of the mode is to become overpowered, sure some people did it more quickly than others but a month or so from now everyone will be doing crazy numbers because that's what the mode is all about. Complaining that people are 1 shotting bosses is like complaining that ice-cream is cold... that's exactly what's suppose to happen.
I wish this aerial combat thing had come back in Wrath, when they promised it and I still could have enjoyed it, before catastrophic nerve damage to my face made me one of the people who simply cannot do dynamic flight. I hope the quests have some kind of accessibility mode, because honestly--I know not all the content in the game is for everyone. But it sucks when it's because they lock you out for a disability instead of just a time or skill issue.
Inability to dragonride is absolutely a skill issue. Point yourself in the direction you want to go, and press spacebar. If you can press the spacebar, you can dragonride well enough to traverse around. Maybe not the gold challenge races, but you aren't missing anything important there and you said it yourself... Not all the content is for everyone.
It's literally easier to dragonride than old fly. Point in a direction, press the easiest button on a keyboard/mouse - the spacebar. Compare that to old flying, where you'd point yourself in the direction you want to go... and HOLD spacebar. Then click to move, press numlock or hold down the W key to move. All that has been replaced by "press spacebar a few times".
All the spaces between the words in these "dragonriding too hard" posts are like months of dragonriding fuel, each. Save your words. Use your spacebars efficiently.

So i have a character to do content in mop remix, and a ton of alts to just level and use bronze for cosmetics and mounts.
I throughly love this remix, the player power is completely inconsequential for me it's all about leveling alts and collecting stuff, the gear is very temporary the mounts are forever. Also the free 40k is per character u get to 70.
Let people have fun, stop comparing yourself to Froggers, that's just stupidity. How you feel about Froggers is on you Tal, "Comparison is the thief of Joy" - note I am not a Frogger and when I am on a run with one that lasts mere minutes, I loot and thank them afterwards.

remix is still better than the war within expansion and you said it i quit dragonflight in 10.1 in caverns and came back for 10.2.5
Grinding bronze = stronger armor, way more powerful then a cape long term...
The mode is for fun though, so it shouldn't really matter since it'll be gone in a few months
I don't care if things fall over and die by sneezing on them because one guy is OP to gills. As long as I don't get booted by peeps in raids because i underperform in DPS.
I feel like I will have given up on Remix long before The War Within shows up. I dont actually want to grind for 2 months after I get through all the quests. And I really dont want to do it on more than one character just for transmogs. So... I dont know if its in much danger of making the next expansion feel weak by the time it lands.
You DONT have to collect everything. Get what you want then dip. Thats what I did lmao I got the remaining cloud serpents I didn’t have got a couple of the unique mogs then left.
