Get an Oculus Quest (Now Quest 2), buy Virtual Desktop which is around 15 bucks and install it in your Quest while also installing Virtual Desktop Stream on your PC, put in your Quest Username in your VD Stream and connect, done, you have access to your desktop now as if you had the HTC Vive or Steam Index. To play SteamVR games all you have to do is install SideQuest and install the Virtual Desktop Patch to unlock that, literally no cables, easy to setup, and whenever you want to play all you have to do is launch VD both in your PC and Headset for it to connect, probably the easiest setup to get into VR nowadays.
