I hated Thatcher, but celebrating her death is small minded in the extreme.

Easington Colliery was a record breaking coal mine, years after the mines closed we where still importing tons of coal. Come to Easington now the community has never recovered, with massive unemployment and social deprivation. The likes of Thatcher hated the working class and was determined to smash the solidarity of the unions. The workers where called the Enemy Within by these scumbags, you only have to look around the cemeteries of the mining villages and the real price of coal.

@@AbandonEarth911 She hated herself? She was a worker too. As someone who was born in Easington, this is embarrassing.

@@rw2266 Yes it is embarrassing that members of the working class voted for parasites like Thatcher, yes she is gone only to be replaced by other anti working class politicians in parliament. The only time to really celebrate is when the masses no longer acquiesce to the obsolete dog eat dog rat race of capitalism.

      Of course she did.
Closed down the mines, the shipyards and steel works.
Common denominator in all? Yes the strength of the unions her aim was simply to smash them.
Many of those communities have never recovered.
      She was evil.

Should have put a shithouse over her head as a tombstone, charged £20 a time to use it, pay the national debt in a day.
