You're invited to attend our Mango FarmFest this year in Bokeelia. The event is June 23, 2024 and it is our 2nd annual FarmFest. We will have guest speakers and vendors, food and traditional music. Gatherings Grove Bokeelia, FL on Pine Island. We are due west of Cape Coral on the Gulf.
He mentioned 'Aamchur' -- ah, that's wonderful seasoning! It would have been nice if there was a quick tour of the yard as the doctor spoke instead of standing in one place.
I'm late commenting on this, but I just saw that shirt. I watch lots of your videos, they're great. I had to say that shirt is bold, I love it! Keep the Faith brother.
I like his comment about efficiency of the land. I’m on about 1/2 acre and about half of that my wife makes me keep grass. I also collect other fruit trees, palms, and clumping bamboo. So my work has been to be efficient and strategic. Use the bamboo as a windbreak for the fruit trees. Palms in the front where fruit trees would take up too much space. Basically like he said it’s just a constant battle of finding efficiency, even sometimes cutting down trees moving them replanting etc.
Well this video convinced me I need to move my Orange Sherbet and at least one of my Coconut creams away from my fence line… I thought I would be able to manage them like a peach tree and train them however I want- now hearing this I’m going to move them forsure.
I would think that scattering varieties of mango trees in a grove might help to keep those trees susceptible to black spots or mold apart from each other, for control. Or is the problem so airborne that it just doesn't matter? I have four mango trees and love the idea of growing them as shrubs permanently: Cogshall, Carrie, Pickering and Nam Doc Mai #4. At age 80 this is my retirement home, I eat substantial amounts of fruit, and look forward to growing as much of my food as possible for the next twenty years. I bought the three- gallon size mango treess, and have room for four more dwarf-sized that are vigorously resistant to mold and black spot. Suggestions? Please keep up the great work! I love that you are covering maintenance and care of the trees too! Am learning a lot from you. Thanks!
Doing high density and was dismayed to see a healthy Maha Chinook overcome by Gummosis. Totally up and down one one major trunk and now noticing it starting on all branches. Anyone ever see this on a Mango? From what I read it can spread all over - a cut and burn scenario. Maha seemed bullet proof. Any input is appreciated
Good visit...i would like to ask him.. how long do the trees take to fruit on dawrf rootstock vs if they were on normal rootstocks and purned to produce?also do the rootstocks change the feeding habits of some verietys?
Hi Paul Gr8 to see the Dr’s work and issues he has. Many mangoes have different growth habits… are there mangoes with same growth habits that would be compatible on cocktail mango trees? What are they?
yes there are I've spoken with Alex from Tropical Acres Farms about some of those on video but can't remember what one. Just put small trees with small trees and big growing trees with big growing trees
Are you against high-density planting for monoculture or just against high-density at all? Because there are plenty of examples out there of high-density with high diversity of species of fruit trees and they work out just fine. I can agree that planting a whole bunch of mango trees three feet apart is incredibly stupid, however planting them 20 feet apart and putting some other types of fruit trees in between them isn't necessarily a bad idea (if done correctly).
Yeah. I have to stop watching this. The dog barking is insanity. Who in their right mind would know someone is videotaping and let incessant barking dog in the area. I mean come on. I feel sorry for our country when people have to told something like this and not in good conscience come to the realization on their own this is something they need to correct. Now you are forcing others to be the bad guy. 😢 God help us.

Is there a fee to attend the farmfest?

I'd love to see his orchard & placement of trees

Great interview thanks, appreciate his time to share his wealth of knowledge

Yes the best of people can mess up but the Dr is great
Great video with Dr. Campbell! I have gone to his fruit stand and bought mangoes and jackfruit!

That is wonderful ❤️🙏🏻
Another great video

You can see on Tropical Acres Farms website what mango is dwarf. Don't plant too close trees and thanks for watching the video
What i have noticed is that if you want to dwarf a mango 🥭 tree 🌳 you need to put it on a big Julie tree 🌳 root stem it works for me
Shalom ❤️🙏🏻
Amen 🙏 to Yeshua !
You have the patience of a saint.

What's your recommendation where I can order an assortment of mangos, not necessarily to ship now but when they are in season?
16:44 Piva ? Come again please
yes I think he said Piva
@@FruitfulTrees ty for confirming. But can't find it on Google. Confused

After pruning/trimming does anything apply on trimmed branch??
Do you know Indian banginpilli mango. Did you hear about it in your research. great one to eat.

I don't believe he let that dog bark all that time. It did interfere with hearing the talk. 🤔
True....but great info !
What’s the name for Richard Campbell UA-cam page?
search "Mango Men Homestead"
To those complaining about a bark, you do know there are subtitles, right?
Enjoyed this video. Thx
🤯
A barking dog in an orchard, especialy at night, protects your fruit from animals.
You keep saying high intensity don't you mean high density? Or am I wrong?
yes, woops lol

The dog barking was so annoying that I couldn't even finish the video.
Excelent video!!! Except for the ANOYING dog.
It’s hilarious you are wearing that shirt as he is telling you about the complexities of studied plant genetics.

...or people talking in the background or listening to TV.
Exactly I think the dr needs to go back to school on how to discipline a dog that dog needs a flogging
I never watch his videos because of dogs.
I could tell Campbell was NOT to cool with you. Your Ny/Nj persona was leaking.
Jesus Christ saves souls.
Repent or perish.
So much whining about the dog! I guess I found his story too fascinating.
