Really enjoyed the 606 Club gig. I Was surprised how contemporary sounding the band felt, it was so funky in places. Really impressive interplay between everyone. Dr Bruford still has it. Just amazing to hear him playing again.
I am so Happy Bill is back...I learned drumming from him back in 74 when fresh out of HS, my band was trying to play Close to the Edge...We did a lot of Yes songs and Bill's drumming taught me how to play...Certainly my drum hero..
What a concept, listening to each other and trying to work together, instead of vamping along until you get to do your solo. All hail the bands which aim for this.
