Thank you so much! I look forward to these videos every Tuesday my time. My husband and I are in that process it is a journey but yk what's for us will be. 🌸
Thankyou so much for sharing this type of video. I had no idea how much it actually is to purchase or build a home, this is really educational 💗💗! You explain everything so great! Thankyou for sharing Ella x
Love this video as a single homeowner in the US! It’s so interesting to see the build process and prices in South Australia. You guys also did so much more since you paid on the loans while paying rent you spent far more than that over the whole process to help pay down. I’m kinda shocked to learn the land was more than the home.
How exciting!!! We signed out build contract in September 2020 and our house is now only about 70% finished 😬😅 we also did a turnkey package and just chose a colour scheme and did a few extras
So interesting hearing how housing purchases happen in other countries. Love your jumper in this one Ella it looks so cosy the sleeves are so pretty. :) Congrats on your home it's so lovely and I love how you're making it a home ❤
You would probably have found the grass wouldn’t grow anyway with the tree. One part of our lawn gets no sun and it won’t grow - so annoying. Great video!
We built in SA and moved in just over a year ago. We were able to get our land and build on the same mortgage, interesting how different banks do different things
If it makes you feel better my sister settled on her land in August 2020, Pre-start in April 2021 and her slab didn’t go down till April 2023. And still waiting for the actual house to be built. That’s in WA but it’s crazy at the moment.
Oh I wish I could have my own house :( building sounds so easy looking at it written out like this but paying rent and a mortgage would be impossible for me now. You two have done so well for yourself!
Haha I commented half way through the video, I then get to the part where “rentals have its perks” it sure does unless you have pets 😅 it’s so stressful. To any renters out there please any tips on getting an agent/landlord to be accepting. My pets our my babies! But I also need a roof over my head
Wow, your whole house build was almost the same as our extension cost (not inc. land). Building costs had double from when we initially had plans drawn up to when building began. Very depressing. lol. Try to encourage your dog not to do its business on the artificial grass if you can, we had it and it started to really stink of dog urine esp. during summer when limited rain.
Thank you so much for being so honest. Can I ask did your parents help you out financially with anything or did you and Nick save and pay for it all yourselves. Did you and Nick have an engagement party and if you did who pays for that?
You're so welcome! No they didn't help with anything financially. We paid for the house, engagement party and most of the wedding ourselves. Our parents did give us a gift to cover some of the wedding costs which i'm so grateful for 🥰
I love how honest and open you are with everything :)
thank you! hopefully it helps at least one person 🥹

buying in the UK with the chain makes me stressed 🥲 thanks Donna! 💕
thankfully we were first-time buyers and there was no upward chain so much simpler for us than for some :)

Wow im shocked at the difference of costs between states! But very interesting to see the process for you two! I wish sydney was similar

omg that is WILD!! poor thing 😔
I'm so jealous of your mortgage deposit percentage lol I live in the UK and the average deposit is 15% or higher
How much does a gutter installed cost? The home is 1509 sq with 2 car garage. The builder is quoting 1600$
Notification squad, where u at? Here from UA-cam notifications! Already liked the vid EVEN b4 watching as I know I will ❤ it!

@@smileycitrus is it expected that the parents pay for the wedding, or is a contribution enough. I'm not sure what the protocol is nowadays.
Love the sweater! Where is it from?? 🥰🥰🥰
Princess Polly! my code ELLAXO will save you $$ 🥰
Awesome comgrats❤🎉
thanks ❤️
So funny hearing you talk about your settlement cause I work for a conveyancer 😆
That would be such an interesting job!!
I listened to the whole financial thought thinking that $350k was the price of just the land 😂😂 shit things are expensive up here in Qld 😅
Definitely depends on the location. Up here in FNQ we paid 220k for 700sqm 😊
❤❤❤

First, always 🤍🤍
you're the best 💙💙
