Karen Carpenter's voice has been listed as one of the best voices in the history of pop music, by artists such as Elton John, Agnetha Fältskog, Kim Gordon, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Paul Mccartney among others.

In 1980, she moved to New York to go to therapy five days a week, to see Steven Levenkron, a specialist in the treatment of anorexia nervosa. In New York, she socialized with her friends and was pleasantly surprised when, when she met John Lennon before signing, she said, "Let me tell you, my dear, you have an amazing voice."

You should always enjoy live and be thankful every day. Ill Tell you how to do it.. how I do it. Life consists of work and play we must work hard and play hard. It also consists of responsibilities and not so great things we must breaze through!!
So many of us put every little thing we have to do, Or hold on to bad things or things people say from the post past and present it and put them on their carousel of despair, and turn them around and round and round and round! holding on to them for life and that puts on a lot of weightand unhappiness!!. Let every negative thing go in life, get off your carousel of despair and break it to shreds. We may not want to Let go but we can't change the past and we must move on to the future. Life is short Choose happiness if we want to and jump over all lifes or your hurdles that bind you,v9 and get on to the next responsibility or fun time in peace. It and life will go much easier. Be proud of yourself for not holding onto anything negative and letting it all fly over the hurtles!! Then everything will come easy and you'll be proud of yourself And free to enjoy your free time and happy you were cool and let go!!
THATS how you chose Peace and happiness. Your choice!!!

Such a feelin's comin' over me
There is wonder in 'most ev'ry thing I see
Not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eyes
    And I won't be surprised if it's a dream
Everything I want the world to be
Is now comin' true especially for me
And the reason is clear, it's because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world
Somethin' in the wind has learned my name
And it's tellin' me that things are not the same
In the leaves on the trees and the touch of the breeze
There's a pleasin' sense of happiness for me
There is only one wish on my mind
When this day is through I hope that I will find
That tomorrow will be just the same for you and me
All I need will be mine if you are here
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around

Quite a few years ago i was in a nightclub somewhere on the St Coast UK. Hard rock and punk music and a pretty wild bunch of very drunk people! Last record of the night. Top of The World, The Carpenters. You could not have made it up but boy it was genius. Crowd went mental and everyone started cuddling. Very surreal. Very very cool.
